Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute

I’ve had vertigo for 10 years which had caused immense damage in my life, my identity and my marriage. I found Midwest dizziness and balance two months ago. It is the most amazing place with the kindest, educated people. The process was just amazing and I just graduated today with unbelievable progress. This place is life changing and I will be forever grateful that God guided me there and the staff took such good care of me.

I didn't know what to expect and almost didn't go. What a mistake that would have been. Dr. Banovic was amazing as she took me through the 3 hour testing situation. She explained everything that was going to happen, explained it while it was happening and gave great comfort the entire time. Her kindness, calm demeanor and expertise was greatly appreciated. It is only been 1 day but it may have had life changing impact. I came in with pervasive dizziness and left with none. Hopeful it lasts but no where I can go to get the professional care I need.
The professional environment is extremely clean and impeccably organized which helped me relax and trust the staff.

This place quite literally changed my life. Before I came here something as simple as looking over my left shoulder would make me sick and the episodes of vertigo stole whole chunks of my life. Now I can look at my phone in the car, roll over in bed, watch tv without getting sick, walk through a grocery store without wanting to die. This is the place to go, they understand and know exactly what to do. It is life changing. I can't thank them enough for how much they have helped me.

To say my experience with the Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute was a life changer is not an exaggeration.
After years of debilitating vertigo, I honestly had little hope that they could help.
Thankfully, I was wrong! I have not experienced any vertigo since I followed MDBI protocol.

Very understanding, kind & knowledgeable staff! The Drs are very helpful & seemed to truly care about my needs. As they were completing exercises on me, not only did they explain to me what they were going to do before they did it, they explained why it was helpful with my issue. Great place to go! Dr Nicole Garrett & Dr Katlyn Plotzer were equally amazing, caring & knowledgeable. The front desk staff were very helpful, professional & kind.

Jamie and her staff are absolutely amazing. I was having bouts of extreme dizziness that would come out of nowhere, making everything difficult from driving,, going to work, to just rolling over in bed. Staff was so kind, and would bring me in anytime I needed for an evaluation and adjustment. They were also able to come up with a diagnosis and worked on improving gravity the sensors in my ears. I am happy to report that I am dizzy free for well over 3 months now. Highly recommend!

For 4 years I dealt with extreme dizziness and imbalance. I went to Neurologists, Cardiologists, Chiropractors, and more to find a cure or even be told what was wrong with me. Within 2 sessions with MDBI I was given a diagnosis and set on a therapy regimen. 6-7 weeks later I am feeling so much better and am finally able to get back to doing everyday activities. Last summer I started experiencing dizziness and having issues focusing. It bothered me the most when I would be in the grocery store or driving. I finally decided to make an appointment at Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute. I didn't have high expectations that they would be able to diagnose my issues or figure out what was wrong. I was put through extensive testing all while constantly being reassured by the staff the entire time. I left that day with a treatment plan to get started on. Within a few weeks I was finally feeling normal again! I was starting to think that was never going to happen. I am so grateful to all the staff at Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute! They were amazing to work with! If you are struggling pay them a visit!

From my initial "investigation" by checking out the website to my initial evaluation to my twice weekly therapy sessions to my reevaluation I have been so impressed! I cannot say enough good things about my treatment, personally & professionally. Dr. Katlyn Plotzer is the best of the best.

Amazing place! They are organized very well, every single lady that works there is amazing and super friendly and nice!! (I don’t think any men work there). They always take what I say seriously and they are always more than willing to talk and help. They set up a good program for me and I definitely improved!!

I have suffered for years with dizzy and balance issues. Going to the Midwest Dizziness and Balance institute was the best thing I have ever done! The Doctors and staff are great! My only regret is I didn’t go sooner!

I came to them at the beginning of the year 2021 after having covid, my vertigo became debilitating along with my vestibular migraines. It was a godsend finding this place. The staff and doctors are amazing. They truly want to help you and listen and are caring while in sessions. I have made so much progress here. I have otolith dysfunction and I can say my balance is back and I have many more better days.

been dealing with debilitating dizziness since 2017. i have seen multiple vestibular therapists, ent specialists, neurologists, etc. i finally found this place in august and am so happy to say that i have been dizzy free since my visit. so grateful to these doctors here for helping me gain my quality of life back.

I have had severe dizzy spells for 5 weeks. After a referral from my doctor. I had an evaluation from the Institute. After the evaluation of about 3 hours of testing they determined what my problem was. They performed a treatment and I could not believe how after 1 treatment my dizziness went away. If anyone has a problem with balance or dizziness I strongly recommend calling the Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute.

Midwest Dizziness and Balance is the most well run medical facility I have ever been to. They performed a comprehensive battery of tests and identified the exact cause of the vertigo that had plagued me for years. In one visit they performed a maneuver that gave me my balance back. I can’t thank them enough.

I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who feels dizzy, unsteady, or off balance.

I first became dizzy in August 2018. I saw several nurses, audiologists, and a physical therapist who all did the Epley maneuver on me along with countless other tests. No one could give me a definitive answer about why I was still feeling dizzy.

I could not function. Everyday activities were difficult and I lived on the couch where I gained ten pounds. I could not drive or go grocery shopping or even do laundry. I cried all the time feeling like no one could really understand what I was going through. Some days I felt depressed and hopeless thinking I would never get better.

Two months later, I was referred to Jaime Carmody at Midwest Dizziness and Balance Institute. She ran tests on me and showed me my data which proved why I was feeling dizzy. I was diagnosed with otolith dysfunction. Finally someone could give me some answers and she believed me when I told her how my dizziness was affecting my life. She gave me hope.

Three months after watching videos to re-train my brain, I can function again. My family said I’m back to my old self. I cannot put into words how grateful I am for Jaime and everything she did for me. She encouraged me and gave me hope. She also gave me answers and most importantly she believed me when I told her about my dizziness symptoms. She gave me my life back. I truly do not know where I would be without Jaime and all her hard work.

Everyone there is so kind and understanding. They actually care about you getting better and getting back to normal. Jaime and her staff were wonderful and the facility is beautiful.

You do need to do the home exercises they give you. Just going to the office twice a week for treatments will not get you feeling better. If you do the home exercises and really follow their instructions, you will feel better and get your life back.

Definitely recommend this place!

These ladies helped me in so many ways. Balance and anxiety is so much better. I have a vestibular diagnosis finally and I am learning how to handle migraines. I’m still a work in progress, but thanks to these ladies, I’m slowly healing each day.

I highly recommend this center for anyone that has a vestibular or balance issue. Awesome in depth testing. These people are awesome. They put you through testing to find the problem. So far I am doing awesome. Very caring, I highly recommend them if you are dizzy and can't find anyone to help you.
