Loved The Little Campground! Stayed the weekend for the 2023 Woolly Worm Festival. Was only 10 mins away, very quiet, friendly people and awesome camp sites. Will definitely return.

Maxine! You are a wonderful host, and my wife and I had the best time staying at your campground. Sadly, we left a day early to avoid bad weather, but we will be back soon for the fall foliage. Everything good people had to say about this campground is true and more. It was the easiest decision of our trip.

This by far is the most amazing campground. The views are amazing and Maxine made us feel right at home.
The roads leading in are a little challenging as we are from Florida and not used to hills and sharp turns.
The only sounds you will here is rushing water from the creek that runs through the campground. Very little traffic from the road.
Full hookups with 50 amp service. WiFi was strong, and fast enough for everything we needed to do. We were also given a Direct TV remote and plugged our rig into their cable connection. Great picture quality. Large Washer and Dryer for only $1 each.
Restaurants and shopping are 10 minutes away.
Highly recommend staying for a night or a week.

Perfect little campground if you are in the area and they have a open spot! I was just looking for a spot for the night while working out of my camper conversion van. But looking forward to trying to come back in my real rv when on vacation. Small just a few spots but beautiful and well maintained. Has a little river running thru. Two spots have river side camping. Owners are nice and welcoming and you can tell they really care about there great little campground! Thank you!

This is such a wonderful little campground! First off the owner (Maxine) was so gracious and not only helped me back into my site but also checked on us each day and made sure we had everything we needed. Our site was next to a nice running stream that was so peaceful to listen to and was also great entertainment for our kids. And the sites are very large so you have plenty of room to relax. Plus you are in close proximity to everything around this area so very convenient to go out during the day and explore with lots to do. We will definitely be back and so appreciate all the care and attention from the owners and letting us stay at their beautiful campground!

We Just came back from staying at this great little campground by the creek this weekend! We were lucky enough to get 1 of the 2 sites by the little creek which are so serene. Maxine is a love and knows her stuff when it comes to helping you hook up. There’s only 4 sites with a nice amount of space in between, exceptionally clean, quiet and safe. It is located on a very quiet little road in Elk Park right outside of Banner Elk and convenient to all the cities around the Banner Elk area. I would highly recommend this RV campground, it doesn’t have public toilets or showers, but do have a clean central little laundry and trash area, it is also dog friendly with the usual expectations.👍👍👍👍👍🐶

If you like peace and quiet, only four campsites with space between them, a beautiful mountain creek running through the property, and a friendly and helpful campground owner, come to The Little Campground near Elk Park, NC. We have just spent the last four days here at Campsite #1. It’s August and in our hometown it is 90+ degrees. Here it is in the low ‘80s and the low 60s at night. One of the campsites (#2) is fully shaded and our campsite (#1) has space for chairs right by the creek under a tree. There is plenty to do and see in the area, or if you want to just relax and have a leisurely, quiet vacation, catch up on your reading, enjoy the scenery, this is a perfect place to do that as well. Perfect little spot! The customer service was excellent! We were unsure exactly what day and time we would be coming in but Maxine stayed in touch with us and was there to greet us and show us around when we arrived. She also provided us with firewood and told us to call her cell if we needed ANYTHING. Her place is right down the road. There are only 4 spots and they are very spacious. You don't have to worry about it being crowded. We had a great little spot tucked in by a beautiful creek. The campground is next to a road but it's a very quiet road. We enjoyed daily walks with minimal traffic. There is a small building with a washer and dryer and we had great Wifi! We are already planning another visit to this site which is very close to Banner Elk, beautiful Valle Crucis and Boone. Lovely!

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have visited. The owner treats you like family and is always available. She meets you at the site and gets you checked in. The sites by the creek are nice but all 4 spots are great. All spots are very spacious, 50 and 30 amp, have a fire pit, 30gb internet, direct tv, concrete pad beside camper, and water/sewer. This is a great place to get away from the overloaded campgrounds but still be minutes away from stores. There are a couple of tight turns (into the campground and the campground road) but our 40ft travel trailer was not an issue.

My fiance, myself, and our two children stayed in the "little cabin" this week. The reality of this adorable little cabin far exceeded my expectation. The photos & the description on the website simply do not do it justice!
- The cabin is across the street from the campgrounds ... you'll have a nice private driveway that leads you up to a tiny little cabin tucked into a nice little private wooded area while still being close enough to walk across the road to the creek. This level of privacy was a huge unexpected perk for our little family.
- The kitchen had a great mini fridge (the freezer even kept our popsicles frozen!), two burner stove, sink, microwave, a TV with local channels and a DVD player, and board games for the family to play.
-The little cabin has awesome hot water & water pressure (may not matter to most - but again, a pleasant surprise)
- That adorable little loveseat in the living room folds out into a twin size bed. Others have noted that you cannot move around once it's open. This really isn't the case - yes it's tight but you can walk around the pull out pretty easily - get in and out of the fridge without a problem...etc.
- I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cabin had a heat / AC unit in it.
-WiFi varied - I didn't have any reception on my phone and the WiFi was hit or miss. My partner however was able to send/receive texts and stream netflix.
- Our favorite part was behind the cabin! My fiance brought his guitar, the kids brought toys and we spent a lot of time back there letting them play, enjoying the air, BBQing and just enjoying the property.
Maxine - the owner - is SO sweet. She kept in contact leading up to our booking and she met us to get us all checked in and she's available at all times if you need anything during your stay in the cabin.
if I had to say something negative about the property it would be that there are crickets - more than I was comfortable with - that come out in the cabin at night to say hello...they're quiet but one jumped on me. I'm the only one in my family who was bothered by this and I chop it up to the "roughing it" portion of camping in an adorable little cabin...hardly something to complain about. We really had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!! (Note: in the one picture I'm posting you'll see an air purifier - this doesn't come with the cabin!! I always travel with our air purifier and a bottle of microban!)

Lovely, quiet, small campground with full hook ups, great wifi, and a beautiful creek. The host, Maxine, is so pleasant and makes you feel at home. We've stayed here twice and will keep going back.

This little gem of a campground was wonderful. Great wi-fi, cable, full hookups, and laundry room. Lots big, graveled and paved patio. Tuck away in Elk Park, NC. Central to many outdoor/indoor activities. Owner is the sweetest person ever. She is very helpful, keeps the grounds so clean and beautiful. Can"t wait until our next visit.

This is the perfect campground if you want a nice, quiet place to relax and enjoy the outdoors! The full hook-ups all work and are placed in just the right spots. The Internet is strong and you get free satellite TV so you are not totally separated from the outside world. The entire campground is spotless! There is a trout stream running through the campground and the Elk River is nearby. You are also close to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, The Blue Ridge Parkway, and Boone. Maxine and Sammy (owners) are wonderful people and will help you with just about anything. My battery went dead and within 5 minutes, Maxine was there to give me a jump. The laundry is a deal at only $1.00/ load for washing and drying. We LOVE this campground and will be back often!

Nice spot not far from Banner Elk. Full hookups, with DirecTV & wifi. Coin op. washer & dryer. Our site is next to the road, but not a lot of traffic. Turn from road is a bit tight but we made it with 28 ft trailer. Would not recommend it for large rigs, and nothing for kids to do here. We were pleased with our week long stay.

This campground is one of the most unique places that we have been to. We have traveled to many different campgrounds on the east coast and I can tell you that this one is one of the most memorable places. You will NOT regret coming here. Many places to visit all around. Incredible owner, very sweet lady.

Wonderful clean and well run. Cabin is nice also. Great WiFi in the campground. The cabin is a distance from the campground though, so the WiFi can be spotty at times and there is limited cell service.

We stopped by for 2 days - thought we would catch up on the laundry & enjoy 3 way hook-ups. (we usually camp more basic) and stayed for 8 days. Nice people in the CG & nice people running it. There are only 4 sites - one in the shade & 3 in the sun. No bathhouse so no tenters. Curtis creek runs at the back & is quite pleasant. Curtis Creek Rd is a dead end road so there is not a lot of traffic anyway. Cell phones worked & the single washer & dryer looked brand new - and they worked good. At a dollar a load we washed everything. The satellite tv worked good too. At $30 a day (pay for 6 & get the 7th free) is quite reasonable for what you get. .There is a cute cabin across the road for those without RV's or for guests. The high speed internet (wifi) worked very good almost all the time.

This was a very nice quiet place to stay. we stayed in the cabin and it had everything we needed from firewood, kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, anything you would normally forget to bring. The owners were extremely nice and helpful , the cabin is quiet and private. Would definitely recommend for anyone to stay in.
