Logtown Cemetery

What a lovely spot. I had shown up early to a nearby attraction and needed to spend time, saw this and knew I had to come by. I am glad there is an information placard to stress the importance of this area. It was a thriving city but the citizens had to be moved to create a buffer zone for the Stennis Space Center. It once held the largest sawmill in the world. Very interesting. Be respectful of the residents in the graveyard. Some have been here for literal centuries.

I like to come here to think. It is secluded and very quiet. The story of Logtown is posted right in front of the cemetary. If you come here, be respectful and leave plots undisturbed.

My family plots are here, as well as my grandmother and my mother. I never feel anything but peace here. If only the rest of this world felt as much as home to me.

Amazing accidental find on the home stretch of a road trip. Historic context and a current bird sanctuary leading out to the edge of the river, awe inspiring natural beauty is a definite must-see if you are ever in the area.

Historic cemetery- love the atmosphere- road lined with live oaks- great place to get away and gather your thoughts on a walk.

Easy to find with signs and GPS. A few interesting grave sites, magnificent oak trees filled with Spanish moss, we'll groomed.
