Café on 1st

It was my first time coming in this morning, and I was so pleasantly surprised. My friend ordered the Ginsberg, I believe it’s an original to the house. It has a blend of banana and coffee, a combo she didn’t know she needed! I ordered a blended chai with lavender, also fantastic! The orange juice came just as advertised freshly squeezed and so tasty. The cinnamon roll was clearly home made. Overall quality food and drinks with an awesome, super vibey and vintage like atmosphere.

LGBT friendly cafe gem in Salt Lake City! I adored this place, you order via kiosk and if you have any questions, the guy who works there is very happy to help! The breakfast burrito and breakfast bowl were amazing! The potatoes that they served with it were soooo good. Just wish there was more of it!

I really enjoy this Cafe. I got the BLAT with sexy sauce and let me tell you... it was incredible. I also got an oat milk latte with hazelnut that was also really good. I will absolutely come again!

Amazing burritos, amazing chai latte. Very quiet, chill, sophisticated atmosphere. I would definitely come here again. I love how you order on a kiosk, it’s perfect for introverts.

Never would have thought this quaint coffee shop would also have excellent breakfast burritos.

I love this neighborhood coffee house. Their coffee is always delicious. I ordered a turkey sandwich today & it was scrumptious & huge. I shared it with my adult son & we were both satisfied. I love the atmosphere, the background music is always calming. Highly recommend.

Perfect Sunday morning coffee stop! The employees were very helpful and made excellent recommendations when we told them our coffee preferences.

They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of chill vibes to go around! We’ll be back very soon to try more of their menu.

The best food and chai latte I had during my whole stay in Utah! Lovely little LGBTQ+ friendly hidden gem! I added vanilla and sugar to my hot chai and it was the best chai I've ever had! Also got the breakfast burrito and the eggs were so fluffy and everything had so much flavor! Thank you Oliver!

My wife and I discovered this cute little breakfast/lunch cafe on 1st Av in SLC a year ago and fell in love with it. The simplicity, the lovely music in the background, and a cheerful, kind host named Oliver Maizo made it a wonderful way to start our day today!

This is the most memorable coffee shop I’ve ever been too. It’s gone through ups and downs but when it’s on it’s up, it’s so hard to beat this place. The coffee is fantastic. Roast options, tea options, milk options, and mixtures of any and all possible. My go-to drink here has always been the dirty Thai.

This is also a great place to study if you’re a student. I practically did my entire degree at this coffee shop and wouldn’t have changed that for anything haha.

What’s also remarkable is the owner. He has always provided the best service of any shop I’ve been to in Salt Lake. He even gave me a free meal and drink when I graduated.

Long story short, this is a shop where you can stop in once in a while and snag a drink or you could make friends, accomplish education, and make memories that you’ll never forget. And that is what makes this place so special. ❤✊

Great spot, great staff, decent prices. Spacious and open, great for studying or working, they had a lot more meal options than I thought. Would come here again.

I don't drink coffee often but this spot is great!! The staff is so nice. I'm strictly gluten free and have been glutened by coffee syrups more times than I'd like to admit. Cafe on 1st is super accommodating about checking labels when I ask and even let me look at them. Anyone with food intolerances knows how awesome that is and we appreciate it so much! They even have some gluten free pastry options but I haven't tried them. Reasonably priced (for not being a chain) and they particupate in the square point system so you get points. Definitely check it out!

Order at the iPads and take a seat, listen for your name to be called. Quick service, affordable, solid cold brew, nicely filled breakfast burrito. Great for a quick brunch, breakfast, or lunch.

Such a fun hidden gem in The Avenues. The family that runs the shop is incredibly personable and friendly and are also efficient with your order from starting on the iPad to bringing everything out around the same time.

There are tons of food and drink options and everything is highly customizable. I’m a fan of the loaded breakfast burrito and enjoy their B.L.A.T. Sandwich.

The atmosphere is great too as there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and there are always folks around.

My top spot for Thai Teas and Thai coffee

The bomb burritos not to be passed up on. I honestly can't get myself to try anything else cause they are so damn good.

Awesome! Great coffee quality from different places of the world, very nicely decorated, pleasant background music and super kind staff.

I really love the casual atmosphere here. Very few of the chairs are fat friendly though, so keep that in mind when you are dining in.

Also there is a crack in one of the red Adirondacks out front. It may dump you on the ground

Cafe on First is an outstanding neighborhood cafe. The coffees are great, and so is the team who make them.
