Been visiting this place for several years now and it’s been a long time favorite coffee shop in Greensboro. They have an amazing selection of beautiful pastries and cakes. It’s a lovely space to read or draw while getting a cup of coffee. They have a more traditional approach to cappuccinos with the stiffer foam compared to creamy modern take on cappuccinos and the staff is always so welcoming. Highly recommend. ☕✨

It’s a nice cafe very clean inside. They have many desserts to choose from. The French Macarons are always delicious.

If you are looking for a sweet indulgence that is subtle and will not overpower you with sugar and chemicals, consider visiting Dolce&Amaro. Owned by Italian expats, they serve beautifully made cakes and pastries that are all natural and made for the European palate. Quality coffee made right. We are a regular customer and will continue patronizing this wonderful bakery. Without a doubt, this is the best bakery in Greensboro, and I've found nothing like it in either Charlotte or Raleigh. We have brought countless out of town guests to this place, and everyone falls in love with it. Special mention to all the gluten free items, THANK YOU for making them available. Now, if only they also had some sugar-free options...

Best cakes, cookies and pastries you will taste unless you are in Europe! The cakes truly amaze me. They are absolutely scrumptious! If you like dry cake and overly sweet icing, the kind you’ll find in most bakeries around here… don’t come to this delicious shop !!!

My boyfriend called everywhere and this was the only place that could make a tiramisu cake. It was delicious and a great surprise for my birthday!

Love the food and employees! The bakery has fantastic baked goods like you would find in Italy. Most bakeries product are full of sugar but not at this Italian bakery. I came once and found it similar to Italy and now come often. I highly recommend you try this bakery!

It is delicious 😋, coffe was good and dessert was great 👍, I did tried a variety of their cookies and my favorite was a new cookie called pignoli, soft and with pine nuts in top...to die for !
The napoleon was rich and the cream puffs were a perfect bite , sweetness was well balanced and pastry was flaky, buttery and perfect 👌. A really nice treat!

Hands down my absolute favorite bakery in Greensboro and maybe in all of NC. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They care that you are there and that you like your coffee or bakery items. I have a difficult time picking bc everything looks so beautiful and delicious! It's a great "problem" to have. My husband lived in Italy and this is the only place he'll order a cappuccino. I'm used to the more sugary drinks so I get a hot caramel. So good!!!

I made it to Dolce & Amaro twice, during my 3-day visit to Greensboro. What a gem, whether you're gluten-free or not but ESPECIALLY if you are!! And if you've had the luxury of eating Italian pastries in Italy, as I have. Dolce & Amaro is a feast for the eyes, as you can see in my hasty photos - it tastes as good as it looks. The cakes are *so* pretty. Not only does it taste good, it tastes authentic. No goopy American chocolate or over-sweetened cream fillings. The gluten-free choux pastry was perfect, tasted like the "real" thing. I preferred the Chantilly to the hazelnut ecler, and the eclers to the mousse. Decaf black coffee was good, cappuccino was good. I'd give them 10 stars, if I could.

I must say it is best bakery in my view. They have eggless, gluten free options. Their almond mousse cakes are best. They are specialist in customizing the cakes. They have good varieties of cookies and pastries.
I tried pistachio coffee that is heavenly good.

I might just have to become a regular here. We tried their pistachio hazelnut specialty cake and millefoglie with a decaf americano. They were both so freaking good. I'm impressed by their expertise. I have tried just about everything and I have always been happy with the taste of their desserts. I've recommended them to all of my friends and they all enjoy the desserts at Dolce and Amaro. This is by far the best bakery in town.
We've only had one negative experience since the first time we visited shortly after opening day. Our special order cake was quite wrong. We ordered a round, chocolate colored cake with one rose and two macaroons on top for our wedding. I asked for no hearts drawn on the macaroons. The cake was the same as an orange cake that they had a photo of in an example book and on their Instagram, the difference was the color. We received a heart shaped, bright red cake with macaroons along the side and hearts drawn on some of them. The lady was kind enough to help us make it a little bit closer to what we wanted, but it was still far off. It tasted absolutely amazing and I would definitely order a cake from here again, but I recommend double checking the notes of the person taking the order just in case. A picture of the modified cake is below (hopefully it will upload). Again, it tasted amazing. It wasn't what we wanted visually, but it wasn't a day ruiner.

Ok, I never seen a diploma on the wall in a pastry shop so this made me stop to wonder for a moment, then I ordered the mini lobstertail hazelnut with Americana coffee, when I sat to eat it I felt like I was back in a patisserie on the Champs Elyse, in Paris. Only thing missing would be the smell of the baguettes and butter croissants. I have always missed this and have been on a search since moving here to Greensboro for a decent pastry shop, well today I found it. I am french European and the Italian pastries here would cut it, the lobstertail hazelnut is DEVINE, the crunch is heavenly and cream is out if this world. Menu selection was perfect, the atmosphere was pleasant, clean store and service was nice as well. Omg, I wrote a book, sorry but it's that good. 😅

I used to bake professionally out of state but had to give up my bakery due to COVID. When I moved to Greensboro, me and my very high expectations, I was struggling to find anyone that could meet my standards for quality... until I found Dolce&Amaro! Their eclairs alone are worth the drive down. The creme patissiere is clearly made with love, and they quality of ingredients and skill with which the pastries and cakes are assembled is obvious. So, to avoid baking an entire batch of choux, I drive down for an eclair or two. I'm grateful they are here and I recommend them to anyone who approaches me for quality recommendations of local bakeries.

I didn't stay long, but a local family member highly recommended this place and it exceeded my expectations! I had the hot pistachio latte and a millefoglie pastry. The hot pistachio latte was rich, and creamy without being too sweet, while still brimming with genuine pistachio and high quality espresso flavor! The delicious and decadent dollops of sweet and even a pistachio flavored cream on top added another layer of goodness to the drink, topped with some real pistachios.

I'd never had a millefoglie before, and because my standards are now set Really high after this, maybe I won't again if it's not made here! I also appreciate that the lady who'd served it to me answered kindly when I'd asked how to pronounce the name! I truly appreciate the food and the experience!

The macaroons are amazing strawberry, coffee etc but those are my favorite flavors. The Tiramisu is amazing juicy coffee flavor with soft lady finger cookies soaked to perfection. The employee was very patient and sweet I definitely recommend this place.

The staff is so friendly! They went above and beyond with the execution and quality of this beautiful black forest cake. The inside layers were so distinct and flavorful. One of the best cakes we have ever had in Greensboro! Will definitely be back for more!

Gluten-free pastry heaven!! Last time I came here the only gluten-free items were the macarons. Now they have a huge selection. The cream puffs and zeppole are amazing
