The atmosphere is always relaxed, and the service is impeccable. I would highly recommend the Bologna sandwich, which was more of a Bologna burger. The cheeseburgers are always perfect, and the fries cooked to perfection.

A blast from the past! Where else can you get good food for a good price and end your meal with Yum Yum? This is the only place around these parts near or far. When I read it on the dessert menu board, my wife asked what I had been drinking back up the hill at Hometown Power Hardware. She was seated with her back to the sign, and she couldn't read what it said. I told her again, but she still didn't believe me. It was the first time I had seen it offered on a menu anywhere before. We had a very good lunch, met some nice people and enjoyed our visit very much!

Some of the best diner style food I have had in a long time. Made to order, hot and good portions. Plenty of dishes to choose from that were reasonably priced. Wait staff were very nice and accommodating with a simple hometown interior that was clean and bright. Took a chance to stop here and I’m glad I did. I felt right at home and I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in again.

I'm ashamed that I didn't take pictures 😩 but you must eat at the black bear!!!! My favorite things to eat are the onion rings, the pimento grilled cheese, the hot fudge cake is to die for!!! They have fresh food and a cozy atmosphere. The waitress are very sweet and you know they love their job. We will be back.

Nicely done place with great BBQ. Prices pretty well the norm. Friendly service. Stopped by on the way to the eclipse in KY.

Literally my favorite restaurant ever! Amazing home made food. Specials daily. Also plenty of menu items. Turkey and dressing is my fave!

We were out looking for a place to get lunch on our way back home. So we decided to ride through Canton NC .... And Boy did we find a Goldmine this place is Fantastic.. If you are ever in the area you should try it. The food was Great..The service was Great ... Everything was Right on Time.. The Best BBQ I've had in a long time....

Excellent food, friendly staff, clean. We had two toddlers with us and they were very accommodating. I can't stand a burger well or medium well. I asked for my 1/2 lb burger to be cooked medium and it was perfect!

Always good food and super nice staff!! Ice cream parlor right next door!

Takeout meal for family Christmas dinner,. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoe casserole. Everything was excellent and at a great price. We will be back. Go Bears!

Very good food and very accommodating and friendly staff

A little pricey for single mom with 3 children and 7 grand children but the food was great. Service was excellent. Environmant entertaining had a great time!! Deffinately recommend best cheese steak sub ive had in a while.

Very good food. Hot dogs are really good. Spaghetti is one of my favorites. Good burgers and chuck wagon sandwiches.

If you want good home cooking, this is the place to go especially after a day in the wilderness.

This is just a wonderful place to eat. Small town friendly. Great country food. They treat you like they have known you your whole life.
