Absolutely gorgeous location. The scenery was splendid and fill of nature and things to explore. The walking/bike path had interactive pillars for kids to learn, there was plenty of space to stay away from people if desired, and there was a great discgolf set up. The kids were able to play on and enjoy the various play sets they had, along with the swings that also had the baby bucket seats. There is a little free library box right by the benches and sitting area where you can pick up or drop off children's books for others to enjoy. The pond was a great spot for my son to relax by as well. Parking was OK and there are restrooms here.

I love this park. I have been here many times over the years. The park is very clean with lots to do. The greenway it leads into is also just as nice. It’s dog and child friendly. Also, if you’re a nerd like me… the Pokémon Go game is a good spot for gyms and Pokémon catching.

Nice bathroom, nice children's playground with swings and forts. Dog friendly. Walking trails. Nature lookout points. Picnic area with bbq. Could use more onsite parking.

This was my first time at this park. We arrived just before the gate open at 6:45am to let us enter the park. There were lots of parking spaces near the restroom and playground. The park is connected to a 4 mile paved greenway that has a story displayed through the trail. Cool! They also have a home for the bees to habitat and a multiple bird feeder on a pulley. This was a nice trail and walking for anyone.

This is a very nice park overall. The greenway is quite long with plenty of options for different routes, all interconnected between various neighborhoods and even other small parks. There's a nice pond here with a fountain, a small creek running alongside a large portion of the trails, and plenty of playground and gazebo space for families. Definitely check it out! Great place to connect with nature.

I visited this park on Saturday. There's a good playground for children, different swings and slides. Also there is a nice lake where you can seat and enjoy the nature. I didn't see any ducks, maybe because it was already evening. There's a walking trail if you want to walk. In general it's a nice park to spend time with your children or partner. But be sure you leave this park in time, because the gate will be automatically closed after 7:30 pm

The playground is big and my son had a great time playing on it. The Greenway wasn't crowded and was beautiful and easy to navigate. It was muddy in sections and probably floods if it rains. The restrooms were clean.

This place was super cute!! Our first time with our puppy here and it was very nice walk around, with educational mounts up for kids, and art painted on less that beautiful manmade things made it whimsical and pretty. We saw lots of deer, birds and squirrels! Definitely, recommend and will be back!

What a great little park. Playground equipment was well kept, the pond was full of different wildlife for my 2 year old grandson to look for, plenty of walking trails, the bathrooms were clean and everyone was friendly. This will be one of our go to parks.

It is a beautiful park to walk and enjoy nature and animals such as deer, geese, squirrels and birds. A recommendation to parents, DO NOT allow children to bother by throwing stones at geese and squirrels, teach them to care and respect.

One of my favorite places to walk in Matthews. Great disc golf course. About four miles of walking trails. There is a pond you can fish at and walk around. Playground for kids. Awesome place to go.

What a great park. We took our sweet dog there and we enjoyed walking to the creek. It had been raining so it was muddy but the park is beautiful. We’ll be back to have a picnic now that the weather is cooling off.

Our 12 year old enjoyed himself. The playground has something for all ages 2-12. The trails around the park are also enjoyable going through the woods and around the lake. We will be back again for sure. There was water fountains, bathrooms plus a bike repair area with air!

Has a nice entrance that is easy to notice , sign still looks new. Has a bike repair station that is by the playground. Playground has a ton of areas for the kids, lots of slides and swing. The park also has trails that connect to four mile Creek Greenway. The pond has a nice number of geese, ducks, and fish. Is right by weddington Rd too. Would recommend highly for a nice day of going to the playground and a nice walk with the dog.

Love the trail. Not all of it is under shade. But most of it I think.

Wonderful and beautiful park with a great playground. Especially loved the trails and I think there may even be a paintball course or mountain bike course in the woods off the path? Would be worth looking into. The reading trail where you read a book page by page along the path will be awesome when we bring our kids! We even saw a group of deer which was so special. Would definitely come back!
