Amazing experience. Beautifully designed. Many small details I truly appreciate. The food was delicious. The naan is made to order. The owner is so charismatic and he's so nice! I would 100% come back.

If you every had real traditional Indian food and love it. This place will take your flavor buds to a whole different level of Happiness. I have eaten Indian Cuisine all over the world and through out the US. I have never had so many different dishes that each one was even more flavoriable than the last one. A must stop and enjoy.

We are mega fans of Indian cuisine, and Royal India has now topped the list for us! We have never enjoyed a meal more than this before. We were welcomed with such hospitality, and we had a whole tour of this restaurant!! Everything made in house with fresh, real ingredients. Again, the hospitality was unreal. Ram, the owner of the restaurant, was so personable and told us lots of stories that made us smile and laugh. I think the night was best summed up with Ram’s parting words “Everyone who comes here becomes family.” That was exactly how we felt tonight! Wish we were local, so that we could be regulars. Any trip to Raleigh in the future will have Royal India as a required stop 😊

I adore Indian cuisine and make it a point to seek it wherever I go. Having had Indian food in a lot of major US and Canadian cities, I can say that Royal Indian now ranks high on my list of the best. Their lunch menu offers combos of a few dishes, allowing the customer a taste of a several dishes at once. Their dinner menu is extensive and can be ordered at lunch as well.. My food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and generous portions. The naan may be some of the best I have incurred It’s flaky, light and perfectly seasoned with butter. The service was friendly and attentive. Great experience. I will be back!

If you're looking for delicious and authentic Indian cusine, then look no further!! This really is the best Indian food in Raleigh. I absolutely love this place. The staff are polite and very friendly. The restaurant is conveniently located right off of Capital Blvd but the inside is decorated where it's quite and private which is great. This restaurant is located on the corner of a larger plaza so tons of parking available. As I mentioned earlier, the food is delicious and I highly recommend the butter chicken, chicken Tikka Masala, the garlic Naan, the mango Lassi and the Gulab Jamun. There's tons of other authentic dishes here that I'm still looking forward to trying. Ravi who was our waiter is so friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant-he's been there for 30 years! He even brought us to kitchen to take a look at their charcoal Tandoor and they made us a fresh butter Naan. We even met the chef whose been there for over 30 years! It was a really awesome experience. I highly recommend and I can't wait to return.

The food was fantastic and the servers are so kind!! I love their sense of humor. We got the royal sizzling grill, and the thali (vegetarian special) which gave us a little taste of each vegetarian item. The chicken was so flavorful and delicious and the naan is soft and fluffy, and at the end of the meal we got a gulab jamun which I think was just complementary cause we didn’t order it, and it was the best gulab jamun I’ve ever had. It’s the oldest Indian restaurant in Raleigh, and it was fantastic!

Food looked and smelled good. Restaurant was well kept and servers have good communication skills. They let us look over the menu and even gave suggestions on good options to try.

Food and service were excellent. Came here for dinner based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. The owners clearly care about the quality of food and service delivered. They were walking around the restaurant checking on us and others throughout their meal even with a 15 person party going on. It’s easy to see why this place has been around since the 90s.

Pictured are the korma and butter chicken entrees along with a few orders of garlic naan. Both of the entrees were delicious and properly spiced, but the korma was my favorite out of the two. The garlic naan was also next level good and so fresh. Will absolutely be returning here soon to try other dishes. If you’re craving good Indian food, this place is a must.

This place was amazing. Our server was hilarious and our water was constantly filled. The food goes without saying, but I will. AMAZING. I was so full and happy but couldn’t finish all the food. Can’t wait to have it for left overs. We also got complementary gulab jamun and again, DELICIOUS. Will definitely be making this our normal Indian spot.

We opted for the Royal Bouquet Feast for two, initially concerned about portion sizes, but ended up pleasantly surprised; we left completely satisfied. While the chicken tandoori wasn't to my liking, the Saag Chicken and Lamb Roghan Joosh were delicious. The kebabs weren't the finest I've had locally, but the ambiance and service were fantastic. At the end, we had masala tea with rice pudding and Gulab jamun.

Had the most wonderful experience eating here for the first time! The owner even took me back into to kitchen and showed me how they make their naan in their charcoal oven! Everything is freshly made here and you can tell! My boyfriend and I both ordered the chicken tikka masala with plain naan and it was delicious. This is by far the most authentic Indian restaurant we’ve been to in Raleigh.
