Can honestly say that Valley Companies was the best company I ever worked for! Went from working the dock on nights to them helping me get my CDL and started peddling freight and giving me the opportunities to do so. I have a ton of great memories with the company and family feel was great! Once again best job I've had and helped me get to where I am now!

We bought a play set from Overstock.com. I read these reviews after the estimated delivery date had passed & there was no update on the tracking number we were provided. I grew concerned about this shipping company, so I reached out via email for an updated delivery date & got a very quick response (within 5 minutes!). I was told it would be delivered that day (only a few days after the original estimate, and still within Overstock's quoted time frame), and it was there when I got home from work. We haven't opened it up to set up yet (so unsure if there are any broken pieces), but the boxes are in good condition!

We have been using Valley Companies for over 2 1/2 years now for our LTL & TL needs. They always respond to questions & inquiries in a timely manner. If there is ever an issue with a shipment, they are there to provide assistance! They have been a great company to work with & have made my life easier!

I've used Valley as a freight broker for 20+ shipments over the past 5 months. Shelly's response has always been very quick and shipments have arrived in the time frame expected. Rates have been much better than previous brokers. I will continue to utilize their service.

I recently finished an internship at Valley and had a wonderful time. The people I met over the summer are knowledgeable and experienced- they know how to get things done! I know the service Valley Companies provides is top-notch, and they will continue to support their customers no matter what.

Hands down the best carrier we use. The customer service is incredible. While using Valley Cartage shipments are always prompt, the damages are zero, and the drivers are very pleasant to work with. To be able to book a shipment and not have a worry about there being any issues from pick up to delivery says a lot. We will continue to use the fantastic company well into the future and would recommend them. Big shout out to Amy for helping us book shipments and helping wherever it is needed.

I've worked with VC for a number of years now in a marketing capacity. I think the reason we have such a strong relationship is that I admire their big picture thinking approach to business. They've been around for nearly 85 years now, and to watch a company like Valley continue to evolve is exciting. I look forward to working with them more and more in the future.

If I could give less than 1 star I happily would. I ordered a playset for my children for Christmas. Emailed countless times to schedule a delivery. They only gave me notice of delivery the day of. Then did not deliver it that day. I emailed them to ensure they would not try again the next day, as we were going out of town for a week. They agreed. Only to deliver it the next day while we were on a flight. Had to contact Backyard Discovery to have them schedule for it to be picked back up. I then reached out again to schedule delivery for 12/20. It was confirmed by the company.

Today, 12/13, I again receive notification it was delivered. I called and spoke to customer service who told me my only options were to accept it or have it picked back up to then have delivery after Christmas. I was told "they could never hold it for a month and the storage fees weren't approved". Absolute lack of accountability for their lack of logistics and protocols to organize and communicate deliveries to their customers. They care about their schedule and their schedule alone.

I see other reviews that they do a lot of playset deliveries. I hope these companies stop using Valley Companies for their deliveries as I am sure they are ruining countless surprises for children everywhere.

Lost my play set I was getting for my excited kids. The company doesn’t tell you that this, they use other third parties to ship and now I’m talking to someone in a foreign country week long who REALLY doesn’t know where it is. Luckily the company I bought the play set from refunded me. I told the company to find another vendor for shipper.

On top of it however, the play set I ordered for my kids which was promised for Easter and birthday, is now no longer available to order anywhere. So thank you for that as well.

They delivered a playset I ordered from Lowes. It took them a month to deliver it. The tracking they provided was also not accurate. The tracking site also said they would call 24 hours before delivery, but they never contacted me at all. Even though I had talked to customer service to try and get updates before delivery and have them my contact information.

The estimated delicate was missed twice. When my item was finally delivered, the only way I knew is because I saw it on my security camera. No one knocked or rang the door bell. They threw the boxes off of the truck about 90 feet from my house. It was in the middle of the yard under a tree. The boxes had several holes in them. Do not use this company for anything.

Ordered a couch on March 21, 2021, paid for shipping Couch arrived to their terminal 45 minutes away on April 2, 2021. After no movement, I called and they stated the package was missing. Several follow up calls leaving my name, number and order number to try and get it delivered. Finally got a delivery appointment set up and the driver called the wrong number and decided not to deliver when he couldn't get a hold of me. Apparently the road they chose had a weight restriction and they wanted me to meet them at the end of that road to collect my couch. The whole reason for delivery was because I didn't have means to transport it myself. Today is April 21, 2021, and I still haven't received my couch. Don't waste your time with this company.

Frustrating experience with this company. They don’t update the tracking information on their website. Our delivery date has been pushed back 3x now. I was just on hold with them for 5 hours, they eventually transferred me over to a completely different company (Precision Equipment Placement) that was able to help me. Don’t order any big items through Lowe’s requiring shipment through an external trucking company because this has been awful!

Paid a lot of money for a play set back in March for my child’s birthday in May. It was set to be delivered April 9. It is now May and no play set in sight. Every time I call in it is a different story and it gets rescheduled. But it never shows up. Spoke to a manager who assured me it would be here May 9 and gave me her direct line for any issues. Big shocker it is May 10 and there is still no play set and she never answers her line or calls back. 🤬

Caution they may steal your package. Or deliver to wrong house.

They lost my package and are claiming it has been delivered.

I contacted them prior to delivery was told a signature would be required I took 3 days off work to be there to receive the delivery. They now claim to have delivered my $3500 package but it is not at my house, they claim they left it on my porch but it's not there. I contacted them immediately after the status changed to delivered and they told me they can't do anything because the driver isn't in the area.

There wouldn't be an issue if the driver did his job correctly and delivered it to the correct house and got a signature like required, I wouldn't be surprised if the driver has himself a nice new bed, and just said they left it there. Valley Cartage won't provide me with a picture of the delivery or even a gps history to see where they actually dropped it.

Broke one of my machines. They never got back to me or the "supposed" insurance.

We were hired by them to deliver a military over sized load. We had already got the permits and they cancelled the load due to covid. I asked the broker Jeff if they would pay for the permits and he said they wouldn't, which is fine. He continued to raise his voice and say that they needed a step deck and NOT a 48' hot shot. He did not specify that while booking the load. He continued to use derogatory names and then hung up on me. The company may be great company but the people they have working for them are very pathetic and most likely hate life.

Delivery was due on April 11, it’s now April 22 and my play set has not arrived. They never answer their phone, and if they do. They put you on hold and leave you on hold. Worst delivery company ever.
