City of Janesville Police Services

They genuinely care about the community they serve. As a student in the Criminal Justice field, I was able to go on many ride alongs with the department and always felt welcomed. They chat with community members, and are knowledgeable and aren’t hesitant to share their knowledge and tips for people in school

Some of the best people I have had the honor of meeting many of the officers. The City Council gets 0 stars for under-funding the department. Under a shortage of officers makes the level of service they provide seem even better.

I participated in the Rally at Jefferson Park and the walk down St. Lawrence St. to Main Street and around the block of Paul Ryan's office. I want to thank the JPD for cooperating with the organizers, and being so professional in crowd control. I was very proud of the protestors because of the positive way they conducted themselves. I never saw any inappropriate behavior.( I saw a few signs that I didn't appreciate, but I guess that is free speech) Thank you for helping to make it a positive experience.

Were very helpful when my daughter was doing a science presentation involving the K-9 unit.

Staff is friendly, courteous, always very helpful.

Very fair and effective police force

The Janesville police department are bunch of thugs, Chief Moore threatens people and gets away with it, they feel they are above the law, and will use the law to bully you , they abusing and harass the homeless, I saw a video of one of their officers chocking a local homeless person and then threw all his property in the rock river, what part of protect and serve is that, and when reported to them they state they want to see the video so theythey investigate ourselves, so in the end we will find no wrong doing on the officers part, awhile back they pulled a homeless person out of the river makes me wonder if it wasn't a so called police officer. These people are not here to protect and serve you, here only to punish and enslave.

Recieved a $33 parking citation for parking within 4ft of MY OWN DRIVEWAY! Trying to pay for school and get hit with little stuff like this is just absolutely absurd! What type of officer can sit there and morally justify writing up a ticket for parking with 4ft of someone's own driveway.

The Janesville police department doesn't respect the constitution, they are habitual violators of the people's rights. And chief Moore can threaten anyone he wants to, the police are going to kill me.

Bumper got destroyed from someone in a parking space, we called and an hour later they arrive. Amazing officers of america.

This police station frequently refuses to help me and assisted my harrasser on several occasions even when he elbowed me in the stomach because I was trying to collect proof of his mold problem at the Recency Apartments in Janesville Wisconsin.
