We stayed in the grandfather suite for 3 nights and had a great experience. We didn’t really have to ask for anything but all of our interactions with the front desk were pleasant. They engaged with our kids every time we came in or walked out and we appreciated that.

There are always little things that people can find to complain about and I feel like a lot of the negativity in these reviews is probably unwarranted. My family would definitely stay again.

We didn’t try the restaurant because our kids are picky but it looked very nice.

Every single member of the staff was polite, friendly and helpful. I appreciated the vintage look and feel of the hotel. The restaurant was very nice and upscale.

Amazing staff. Friendly, personal and accommodating our stay. The restaurant they recommend is fantastic and they extended the pool hour beyond what they promised! Nice view in our room.

We had our wedding there this weekend. I read some of the negative reviews and I just want to say, we experienced nothing but perfection. They have done some remodeling. My bridal suit was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful every step of the way. The food was delicious and was better than I could have expected. The chef was super accommodating to our guests allergies and food restrictions. All in all I would not have changed one thing. It was everything I hoped for and then some. Again, absolute perfection! Big thanks to everyone that worked so hard for us. I am one ecstatic bride and my guests (we had the whole hotel booked) all said the same thing. Nothing but good feedback.

I went here for dinner with friends. We had a fantastic experience, the staff were wonderful and the food was great. Fortunately for us we were able to sit outside. I will definitely come back again,,

Located in the mountains right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were on a motorcycle trip and loved the curvy road. Room had an issue so they upgraded us to a cabin. Very lovely, wish we had more time to spend at this stop. Dinner was fantastic, did was delicious and our server Chloe was phenomenal. We hope to come back on our next trip.

Great Inn! Cottages look cute. I stayed in a 2 bedroom 3 bath suite. It was Awesome! It had a small kitchen, and bar area with small refrigerator/freezer and wine fridge. Huge deck with a view! Bedrooms were at opposite ends of suite. Beautiful living room with gas fire place, dining room, and breakfast area. Huge windows. It was like being in a treehouse! It was easy drive to hiking trails and vinyards. I went to see several waterfalls and did some wine tasting. Staff was warm and friendly, very accommodating. Only negative is pillows were flat, I like fluffy pillows. I can't wait to go back!

I've read some of the reviews and think there are some people which don't understand mountain accommodations. It doesn't make sense to compare to a five star in New York or Dubai. Regardless, we've stayed at this place a couple of times now and really have enjoyed our stays. Wonderful little bar and a beautiful dinning room which has two story glassed wall overlooking garden yard. Rooms are clean and well furnished. It is15 minutes to Boone down one side of the mountain and 10 minutes down the other side of the mountain to Blowing Rock. Very convenient.

Absolutely breathe taking. The drive up was gorgeous and definitely worth it. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was amazing. Clean, the beds were super comfortable, and felt homey. The food at the restaurant is amazing! My only complaint is that I wasn't able to stay longer!

I went there in April with my best friend for a weekend away from family, The staff was beyond courteous. . The rooms were clean and the view spectacular. The restaurant has fantastic cuisine. It was very romantic ... next time husbands will be included! I imagine it would have been even better later in Spring when everything was in bloom.

This quaint, historic Inn was a great overnight stay for our family. We loved the main building and the uniqueness of the floor plan. We stayed in Winter so the fireplaces we're all warm and cozy. The appointments were all nice and our room was in good shape but in need of some minor repairs. We loved our private balcony and the comfortable soaking tub after a long day of skiing. Breakfast was also a nicely arranged spread. We will return!

This place was a diamond in the rough. Gorgeous views, amazing and friendly staff. Cost for the hotel and amenities wasn't crazy expensive at all. In the morning, we asked the front desk for breakfast, and expected something small. However, we were given a bag for each person in our party that included a wide variety of items. Prices for their restaurant were high enough we chose to eat elsewhere, but otherwise I definitely want to visit again.

We found this location through Groupon- it was my first "getaway" purchase and I wasn't sure how nice it would be. Our family of 4 stayed in the Hawthorne Cottage and it was incredible! Plenty of space, loved having a full sized kitchen which saved a lot of money instead eating out everywhere. There was plenty for the kids to do on the property. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Although driving up the mountain was scary.....we loved that the entrance to the Inn was road level and not steep!

Lovely hotel at a great price! The location is a bit hard to get to on the road, but it isn't that far and adds to the fun! The view from the hotel is second to none! My hotel room did have a small TV as others said but I didn't really care. The bed was very comfortable. The did at the restaurant was very good as well, a bit on the pricey side for some things. Overall, I will remember this place fondly, long after forgetting many others.

The place we stayed was fantastic. They originally had put us in an upstairs room although we had requested the ground floor. But when we enquired about the mistake the hotel manager put us in a cottage with 2 separate bedrooms and a large great room and kitchen area. It was four of us/2 couples. And they gave us a great discount for the mix up!

We went for dinner and drinks on the terrace to watch the sunset. The view was beautiful. We had the pretzel with jalapeno pimento cheese, shared the Short Rib dinner. The food was excellent and the service super. I highly recommend this place. Prices were about medium. Well worth it. Reservations are needed for the terrace. We didn't know this but still had a great table inside with a perfect view. The music was good.

Imagine taken a trip off the beaten path to find a pearl hidden on the side of the mountain. Apart of me wants to keep it hidden for myself. My wife and I took my three boys to ski Appalachian this weekend and the reviews she read where on point. The service is wonderful and this place has an old style Inn feel with an updated style. Yes there is an elevator for access but the front steps are very accessible. The breakfast is your typical breakfast you'd expect... but the setting steps up the game. Room are nice and clean. Small TV .... however we came to ski and that's what we did. Love the accents around the place. We stayed in the Inn itself for two nights but there villas around the Inn avaliable. Great for the whole family but I could easily see me sneaking back up here with just the wife.

The Inn at Crestwood was the best wedding venue we could have asked for! They were so accommodating. Leigh is a wonderful coordinator, she really went above and beyond to make our day special. We absolutely loved being able to have family stay all together on property and it was so beautiful in the fall weather. Definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in the beautiful high country!!

We had our wedding here at the end of October. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Things were a little unorganized at first the day before and day of our wedding but it all worked out in the end. They were all so accommodating. The view for our wedding was to die for! It all couldn't have worked out any better. Super cute Inn and homey feeling. We will certainly be back for a nights stay.

After reading some of the reviews others posted, I was a bit apprehensive and had VERY low expectations when we arrived. But I was pleasantly surprised, would definitely return, and would definitely recommend this to a friend. The inn is older and it's not a chain, so it does have some minor cosmetic imperfections, but in my estimation, it just added to the character and did not detract at all from our comfort. The staff was friendly and helpful, our king room in the villa was quiet, easy to access, and exactly what we were looking for. The location is perfect--between Boone and Blowing Rock, and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway--giving us easy access to everything we came to see. Loved it.
