Smaller but wonderful park to explore. Perfect easy hike for children or individuals who may not be able to handle more extreme paths. Majority of the trails are even or mild slopes. There are a lot of roots making for trip hazards though so watch footing. The trail follows the creek with lots of areas you can walk into the creek. Very shallow the majority of the way, Perfect for kids to play. Several benches seating areas along the trail.
There's a water pump for fresh cold water or rinsing afterwards. Playground is small but fine for the kids.
Beautiful place to hide from the bustle!

Really beautiful park, it must looks outstanding in the peak of the fall/autumn, the trail is a loop around the creek and trough it, I’m pretty sure is full of birds in spring, especially wood warblers!

Beautiful park! There's a beautiful gazebo and plenty of seating. And a cute little library as well! Beware of the gazebo as of early August 2023 there seems to be either bees or wasps nesting in the ceiling

I enjoy this park! I take my 2 dogs and my 5 year old there every now and then during the warmer months and there's something there for all of us. The playground isn't huge but is nice with a covered seating area close by as well as a bench or 2 a bit closer to the playground itself. There's even a cute little "take a book/leave a book" station next to the covered seating. I believe I did see bathrooms but personally never used them. They have some walking trails and also some water spots for the dogs! I have a chocolate lab and a miniature dachshund and they both love it. My son likes walking through the water with them. We JUST missed our first Easter egg hunt here this year by a minute or 2 (totally our own fault) but the park was packed with families running around and having a great time so we still stuck around for a bit.

I will say, one of the slides on the playground looks a bit painful to use but my kid doesn't ever seem to mind lol (photos included).

Nice little park tucked away in the middle of farmland, has a creek running through it, good trails for dog walking, I notice a lot of people that have tree or other natural hobbies hanging out here, also a picnic/pavilion area in the middle for groups. I take my dogs there at times to walk as we were looking for something new in the area without traveling too far. It gets buggy and tick infested in the summer so dress and spray accordingly.

Nice playground for children, hiking trail through hilly woods terrain and along a nice creek. Also has a cool gazebo perfect for simple outdoor weddings and a sheltered picnic area.

I absolutely loved visiting this park. It's a wonderful oasis of Wisconsin's natural scenery. You'll feel transported to the North Woods in this park. So beautiful.

This place is lovely. Has everything you need for the family picnic or hike.

Winters and summers are equally beautiful here so you can visit it throughout the year.

Perfect creek walk with little ones. Brought nets; caught 10+ crayfish (we put 'em back after PB&Js at the little playground). Inexpensive, simple, shaded with nice cool water to walk in.

Small but beautiful park. Nice place for a family cookout, with a good size playground for kids. The road to the park is like a tree tunnel and the creek running thru the park has cut the limestone over time making some great natural backdrops for photos.

Nice hiking park. Over the years, the county has improved this park.
Decent, clean vault toilets. Cute gazebo. Large pavilion that can be reserved with one grill and a light in the center of the pavilion ceiling. A few rest shelters along the paths, too, with one shelter within the car park area which has a pump for water.
Many signs posted along the paths which feature tree identification for educational lessons.
This is not a level terrain, so good physical fitness is important. Many paths are steep.
All around a very pretty park with a very pretty creek running though it.

Drove up to this little spot from Chicago. My goal was to get out of the house this Memorial Day weekend but avoid the crowds. After a short search I found this little gem. It’s a beautiful little park with a solid hiking trail. Very picturesque and very clean. My fiancé and I had a great day there. We didn’t even see a single person on the hiking trail. If you’re looking for a nice day out this is a great spot.

A nice 1.5 mile loop trail. Depending on the time of year, the creek is fun to wade and splash in. There are lots of fallen trees that the kids like to climb on and they love the bridges. Absolutely gorgeous backdrops for family or engagement photos.

My favorite quick hike spot! I love his little park. It is quite and beautiful and has some great trails. If you continue scrolling you will notice some reviews about mosquitoes being present in this location. I myself was astonished. Who would have thought that a woods with a creek running trough it during one of the wettest summers in Southern Wisconsin’s history would have mosquitos!?! I just don’t understand why the people that run this park choose to allow mosquitoes!! Come on, of course there are bugs... it’s nature. If you want to enjoy nature with all of it’s breathtaking beautiful highs and all of the itchy annoying lows then check out Carvers Rock. If not... go find a paved trail or some other lame past time, like counting carpet fibers or collecting funny looking lamps. I don’t know, stop complaining about stupid things.
