I was very pleased with my moms service yesterday. Jessica was as sweet as can be and very helpful with helping me set up everything to insure my mom had a beautiful service. She went above and beyond and made this a less stressful experience. Travis did a wonderful job on getting the ground prepared in a timely matter for her burial and cleaning up afterwards. I cant thank them both enough for all their help.

When my son passed away he was buried at Sunset. The staff took good care of us. I do wish the grounds were taken better care of. We have removed huge branches that fell. We had to request more dirt and grass seed . The office staff and especially Megan Turner have been very helpful. She has let me know when there were specials there and now my husband and I have our plots and headstone. She has always been quick to answer my questions and help in any way she could.

Diane was very kind and sympathetic during this difficult time. I wasn't aware there was so much to be done when someone passes but she was very patient and informative.

This experience has definitely taught me that I need to get things like this taken care of now, so my kids don't have to go through this. Due to Diane's kindness and information she provided, I will likely purchase a plot at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester.

We feel very grateful for the extremely kind and personable treatment we received here. Megan genuinely went above and beyond what we could have ever expected. We found ourselves looking at Megan as a friend during this difficult process, not just an employee of the park. The park is currently going through some updating and I am sure this will be appreciated by all, but the staff has been so caring and attentive that we feel this is the best place we could have laid my husband to rest. Everyone was so impressed with the service that many of our friends have gone ahead and pre purchased burial packages. All around very respectful experience.

My Mom and her grandson Scott (Ed) was helped by Dianna Cannon this month. She was very helpful during this tragic time. Scott had lost his 34 year old sister in a sudden death. Dianna helped make things easier since she helped with the details. We already have burial plots, but needed advice on cremation burial. It’s nice to know there’s someone to help you in this difficult time.

Our family so appreciated the personal patience and professional guidance given to us during a time of unexpected loss. There were so many decisions to be made and Dianna listened, researched, and even anticipated our ultimate choices as as we navigated the path forward following my brother's passing.

I was very upset to see you that my flowers, an angel or thrown away it really broke my heart, but after talking to the maintenance supervisor, I do understand that things are getting out of hand with flowers and lights all over the graveyard

My dad bought a plot and vault from here. My sister and I decided to put him in a family cemetery. Offered to sell plot and vault back to them half the value they weren't interested in that. So I'm left with this and don't live there to sell it. What do I do with it?

Imagine going ro visit your daughter's grave as well as her papa's grave to find items completely taken from his grave and then look over to your daughter's marker and EVERYTHING was pulled out of the ground and LAID across her marker. ON HER MARKER!!! She had 2 giraffes that were beside her piece of granite pulled up and laid on her marker. They have been there for 4 years...4 YEARS without being touched. I was in tears when I saw her giraffes laying on her marker. These represent her, they are priceless. It completely broke my heart. I'm trying to find the reason for this as I also read a review stating this same issue. While several areas are extremely decorated but we're not touched. Is this how we show compassion to grieving families? How would you feel if that were your child or loved one. I thought it was extremely disrespectful and needs to be addressed.

It's so sad to go visit love ones and can't find the foot stones ,due to grass covering them. Today ,the grass Is around a foot tall "ridiculous" on whole cemetery ! Since Sunset was brought out , it's going downhill. I took it upon myself to go with weed eater to clean our love ones grave sites back in the Spring. Called the office today about the situation, going back in a couple days to check if any better. I'll have my weed eater with me ! 😥

After purchasing a plot four years prior, we received a notice to come in and review our account. I guess they took on new management and wanted to make sure that they have everything up-to-date. Honestly I believe they’re just looking for more money for the plot vault, headstones etc up front. If you do use the cemetery, I suggest you stay clear away from Diana. She’s very condescending, a smart mouth and honestly very phony! Her tone of voice, her mannerisms her professionalism have a lot to be desired. Sunset should require a professional individual to adhere to the needs of their customers. There’s no reason for anyone to be as ARROGANT as she is.

I totally agree with some of the negative comments about this place. My two babies are buried at this particular cemetery, not by my own choosing, and the upkeep of their marker has been an ongoing issue. Once I set up payment arrangements to get their permanent headstone in place I was told they would put A temporary marker in place until the new one was paid in full. I went out a month later to take a look at the temporary marker and it was not there. I called the office and Expressed my dismay about how I could not locate where my children were Buried and I did not want someone to bury over them. I went up there afterwords and it was only then that they did something about it. Initially the cemetery was owned by a different Company who provided a complementary marker but after a year or so it was broken in half which is how I came across dealing with this new company. Three months after this incident I went to visit My daughter’s burial Site on her birthday to discover they had removed the temporary marker without letting me know and without anyone able to tell where She was!!! I was extremely livid and when I called the office about the issue once again their explanation for this was they do not have enough temporary markers to go around so they have to take the temporary markers from current clients and give them to the newer clients that are coming in which is completely unfair, insulting, disrespectful and down right unprofessional!!!! Our loved ones should never be treated this way, Especially babies!! If it had been up to me I would have never chosen this cemetery I would rather have them buried in my own yard to make sure they were taken care of properly. All they care about is your money not your loved ones! Do not bury your love ones here.

So extremely upset and saddened. We had things on my grandchildren's gravesites that meant a lot to them in their lives and many of their friends visit and played with those things just like they did in life. It’s a way of processing and it was all thrown away. It really hurts my heart there were new flowers that I personally put there that were also thrown away. We place things there for a reason not to be disregarded and discarded.

I ordered a memorial bench November 12th 2020 (my mom passed Nov. 11th) today is October 8th 2021 and still now marker. It was told to me it's on a truck, every month for months, two months ago, it had not been engraved. I don't care about COVID, this is total disrespect for the family. I want something done about this, they can put flowers on my family's graves every month for the next year, and I still won't be happy. Dana has been kind working with me and it is not her fault; I want someone director or administrator to call me. TOTAL DISRESPECT. Loretta Hitchcock

Since it was sold to a large company several years ago the total lack of care and upkeep really shows. There is literally no grass only weeds. Downed limbs are everywhere, walkways are overrun with weeds and the fencing is rusted. If you don't pull up the wiregrass you loved ones markers would be overtaken. So sorry my loved ones are there.

Horrific! So disappointed in the condition of the grounds. Wont even go into how little care is taken with regards to the headstone placement. We have several family members resting on this site and it's shameful how this place is cared for. If we don't see a vast improvement very shortly. The news media is our next stop!

I purchased a bench for our plot that was paid for on June 5, 2020. I have called Sunset Memorial Park several times for the installment of the monument bench. I was told due to a staff change, and the order was overlooked. I called another time. I was told due to COVID-19, the installment was backed up. I called today, and I was told it will be in this month and will not be installed until next month.
