Evansville café

Just ate there yesterday with my Dad. He has been there before. A little gem of a place. Service was excellent and food was great. I had the Rueben with fries. Best Reuben and fries I have had in a long time. I will be back since I know they have Gyros too :)

This cozy diner is bright and open. Their menu is extensive, guaranteeing that even the fussiest of diners will find something that suits them. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, with service to match. I ordered a French Dip. I asked, prior to ordering, if the roast beef was lean. I've been disappointed by other restaurants that have served them riddled with fat, and/or, gristle. Not only do I hate having to spend time trimming the beef, while everyone else is enjoying their meal, but it also is gross. I enjoyed a very lean authentic roast beef on a buttered and toasted bun, along with a cup of hot au jus to dip it in. Prices were very reasonable and a good value. They are only open 6 am - 2 pm. If you enjoy the ambiance of independent diners, Evansville Cafe is a safe bet.

Amazing! 1st time visiting and wont be the last. A hidden gem that you need to visit at least once a week. The owners treat you like a member of the family I swear! It's so comfortable just sitting there and relaxing.

Great breakfast. Well prepared and delicious and a great price also. I was very pleased. First time I've ever posted for any thing.

Friday fish! Deb had the fried Walleye and I had grilled Salmon. Love a Friday fish dinner! Great service Gina! As well as excellent banana cream pie Connie!

Very nice little Cafe. The owners are incredibly friendly and the breakfast food does not disappoint. I haven't yet tried their lunch or dinner food though.

Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone! A large variety of choices to choose from AND large portions too!! Kind and smiling faces to place your order from😊 is always a bonus!!

Food was amazing! I had a cheeseburger it was huge! My husband had breakfast and was very happy!!!
