Awesome Corps of Engineers CG. About 15 minutes from I-40. Campground is well cared for, and sites are well-maintained. This is a rare COE campground that has a few sites with full hookups. Most are 20/30/50A with water, picnic table and fire ring on large gravel sites. Its out in the middle of no-where land!

This was such a beautiful campground! It was so cool to see the water change when they open and closed the dam! It was a perfect place to kayak and fish and go for walks. There is actually laundry facilities at each of the bath houses. Showers are okay, but there is water hookups, so we did not use the much. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit, charcoal grill, and a little table with a roof over it. Quiet campground with nice hosts and everyone was pretty friendly! We would definitely return in the future!

We enjoyed our stay there! Our site along Caney Fork River was really nice. The weather was great with a noticable coolness in the late evening, which was a wonderful break from the heat our area in Middle Ga., in the second week in September. We plan to return!

Veteran passes do not include camping don’t make same mistake I did. Not many tent campers there is very popular. Nice sites by water and didn’t notice any bugs. The guy who checked us in was friendly enough.

Very large and accommodating COE right below the dam. Clean site with tons of shade and paved walking paths. Only down side for us was lack of cell service but that's not a knock on the site itself. Even in the heat the area felt cool and comfortable on walks with our dogs.

The bathhouse was spotless, the grounds and their playground were clean and peaceful, and the older couple in the booth was super kind and friendly! We came up to visit some family for the day and we were very impressed! We hope to be able to camp here ourselves!

One night stop on our trip out west. Can't beat Army Corps of Engineer campgrounds. Great price and large well spaced sites.

Been coming here since I was a kid in the 80s and 90s when there was "cliff jumping". It has changed a bit over the years, but has always been a nice weekend getaway. Pretty and clean campsite. The bathrooms were clean. The grounds were tidy too. We stayed right next to the river, so we could hear it when we were outside eating and even when we laid down to sleep at night. Very relaxing. Our favorite spot is the over by the boat dock, when the little pier is. It's a great spot to float around on tubes and swim. The water is SO WARM this time of year. It's like bath water. We took some beautiful photos of the steam coming off the water every sundown. It fills the air and makes you think you are in the smokies. Haha! We'll be back!

Small Campground well maintained, best bathrooms so far that I have seen at a campground. The camp hosts are kind and quiet. The only downfall I saw so far on my trip was the road right behind my camper was a public road and had noisy drivers.

Best of the best! Highly recommend it!
We were impressed with the natural beauty all around us and how Well kept the area was, clean and in good order. (A disruptive couple in a van was quickly dealt with and kicked out w the help of the ranger, local sheriff, and the best management team by far!
This was our very first experience RVing. The managers (retired Army) and his wife (retired RN) gave us lots of excellent advice, even showed us how to set up our camper's awning, as well as getting an America The Beautiful pass for Vets which we knew nothing about. We met lots of really nice people here. Had an excellent time. Highly recommend it!
We will be back!

Beautiful! Definitely gods country up here. Weather you are fishing for trout or canoeing the Caney, you will love this place. Fun for the whole family. Has a playground, bathrooms, wash station for fish catches. Canoe rentals and Campgrounds nearby. Boating on the lake side too! Definitely a place to enjoy the great outdoors.

Another very nice, clean Corp of Engineers Park. Right by the Center Hill Dam--camp host says the river has trout. We were there only 1 nite, but will keep this on the radar if we come back this way. Large site, quite a few are large for very long travel trailers and class A's, etc. 15, 30 & 50 amps, picnic table, fire pit, and a bbq grill, and an extra table with a cover. 2 restrooms that were clean, day use area & playground.

Our camping was absolutely wonderful. Our lot was large with a small creek rushing by behind our site.
Hookup's were conveniently located and as expected.
Campground was clean and quiet with virtually no noise at night. However, highway construction on the dam did creat som minor daytime noise.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful during check in.
Bathrooms and facilities were above par and operational.
Fishing was subpar due excessive water being released from the dam. Oh well sometimes you don't get the lunker.

Never thought I would rank a boat ramp, rec area. But the playground is great while you are loading boats and the bathrooms may be the cleanest public facilities I've seen.

Campground is beautiful, sites are wide. Easy to back into. Some sites have covered cooking stations which is nice. Wish they were in all of them. Some sites have more shade than others. Host are friendly and helpful. Bridge is under construction so expect a wait when crossing.
