Happy Hollow Boat Ramp

Awesome location for a nice picnic. We accidentally found this place while looking for a spot for that 2017 solar eclipse. Only minor issues, there was no restroom. Solution, there is a highway rest stop less than 5 min away.

Our PF Church did the 9 mile canoe/kayak trip on the Caney Fork River with Canoe the Caney and it was a great time for everyone. We were dropped off and picked up by the Canoe the Caney Adventure bus and everyone there was friendly and informative about how to safely complete our trip down the river. We enjoyed the beautiful river and wildlife and especially seeing the Bald Eagle perched high on a treetop and the osprey nest on the bridge near the end of our canoe trip.

This place is GORGEOUS. we took our 3yr old to swim and we played around in our kayak a little. Crystal clear water, and shallow for little ones to safetly practice swimming :)

Beautiful place to relax, just make sure to go when the water levels are down! If they are letting out the damn, water levels rise fast and no where to swim because of the very swift current.

We had an absolutely fabulous time. We camped on the Caney for 6miles. Unbelievably beautiful scenery, so peaceful and relaxing. The staff at Canoe on Caney were so friendly and professional. The nicest people ever. We were taken by bus from their store to the drop off point and then collected at the end of our canoe session. The bus driver was lovely and friendly and chatty to all on the bus engaging everyone and having a bit of banter. I would thoroughly recommend Canoe on the Caney

Happy is a long ramp down to a large gravel bar. No need to back you boat down the ramp, unless the dam is generating, as there is lots of room to turn around at the bottom. Usually I take out here and launch at the dam. There is plenty of parking and a shuttle drive lives next door.

This place is popular and busy. But very conveniently located if you want to kayak the Caney.

Beautiful and relaxing a great place to fish or swim, kayak,canoe. I do believe at certain times of the day the water level rises. So please be mindful of this.

Nice and easy boat ramp. You can pull right up to the shore and a decent amount of parking.

We kayaked from below the dam to happy hollow. They were not generating and it took about 2.5 hours.

Great place to relax

It's the home of my mother's family, on the Caney Fork River, I'm glad people can come from miles around and enjoy this Location.

Beautiful, gentle river. Lots of wildlife and lots to explore. Pack it in, pack it out!

Went to checkout the fishing.

Loved the scenery, sounds of nature, all around natural beauty our mother Earth has to share with us.

This hollow sure was happy as we pulled our boats from the river after an absolutely lovely float. Spectacular!!!
