Spanky's Sports Bar & Grill

We visited the new location for the first time today. More room, more beer on tap, more outside opportunities! We loved Spanky’s before, no change there. We’re just happier with the new digs.

Very good food. Very crowded. They are moving to a new construction this spring, a much bigger venue. I recommend going. We will definitely be back in their new restaurant.

Pizza was excellent. The pretzel was just as good but the kids ate most of it. Great beer choices and prices. Good amount of seating and outdoor area with some live music.

Don’t sleep on Spanky’s!! Always great food and service with a smile. 🥰 As a small business owner I appreciate the hustle of the staff. It’s just a great atmosphere overall.

Just opened and it was fun! I live an excellent outdoor seating arrangement with real tables :-) The menu is fairly large so picking something was tough for me! Definitely worth the trip had lots of fun

This was my first time patronizing this establishment. When I first walked in I was surprised at how busy it was, but we found a family just leaving so our wait time for a table was minimal. The waitress was extremely busy yet was able to keep up with her responsibilities. The food we ordered was very good. The atmosphere was energetic and positive. The only thing that I could say that may be a negative to some is that trying to hold a conversation was trying because of amount of noise. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely come back again.

Great place. We are repeat customers, for lunch usually. Food and service are almost universally very good. Pizza is some of the best you can find. The owner supports the community. It's hard to find a negative. It is an older "bar" building which might turn away some folks who only want food, but they seemingly have overcome that with their reputation locally. You see all sorts or people having lunch, police officers, farmers, business people. My wife's office orders takeout from there and you see a lot of takeout business. They are opening a brand new building along highway 36 on the other side of Waterford, which will be great, I am sure.

The few times we've eaten here, the food has been excellent!! It's nice that Waterford has a place like this because there's not much around here. The service and drinks have been good. It is a bar, so I don't recommend bringing small children or babies in here, but definitely order to go! Their pizza is excellent! We can't wait for their new location to open.

I went to the new location for lunch today, and LOVED the smash burgers!!! They remind me of Culver’s and I’m obsessed! So very good. And wonderful service and a great atmosphere!

For a sports bar, this is a great place. We all love the pizza, and the other items we've tried have been very good. The people there are wonderful. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but it's worth it.

My family and I love Spanky's but our last few visits have been been great. On 10/6/23 I placed a phone order just after 5 pm. I was told it would be 30 minutes. At 5:45 pm the food was still not ready and was told it was only ordered a few minutes previously, which was not true. At about 6:15 pm the food was finally ready. Received the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich rather than the BBQ Pulled Pork ordered. Had to throw the sandwich out as my husband cannot eat mustard. Pizza was burnt and very overcooked. Most of the pizza had to be thrown out as well as the crust was too hard. Not very impressed. May not return until new restaurant is opened.

UPDATE: Matt reached out to me and kindly offered a gift certificate for my trouble. Since then, my family has been back several times and have had great experiences! We are still looking forward to the new location opening as we have elderly family that will appreciate the increased accessibility of the new location. Thank you to Matt for his understanding!

I love absolutely everything about this bar. The owners Karen and Matt are amazing. I cam into the bar on a Saturday evening and the bartenders were amazing. I love the pizza and drinks are made perfectly. I would recommend this place to my friends and family. Absolutely the best bar in Waterford.

Food is always incredible and the staff is friendly and attentive. We own a small business in Waterford and love to support another local business that truly seems to take pride in their business and their customer experiences. The parking can be a bit nightmarish when they are busy, so we are looking forward to the new location!

Arrived Thursday from West Virginia to visit family. My cousin Alex delivered bread to Spanky's on Friday. We met him there had the most delicious lunch and fabulous drinks. Katie was an incredible server. Thank you Spanky's for a wonderful Friday afternoon.

My Best friend moved into Waterford this weekend. She picked up a few DELICIOUS pizza’s!! The crust was so thin and crispy!! The toppings were delicious!! Even though I personally live 35 min away… I WILL be ordering from them and picking it up!! It was absolutely the Best Pizza Ever!!!

The absolute best thin crust pizza. 10/10 recommend.

Just stopped in for a beverage with friends. They had the pizza and said It was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Spankys is A+++ great for the family, friends, and just a great place to hang out. All their specials and food are amazing, nothing has disappointed us yet. Tacos, Gyros, Chicken Sandiwch, Steak Sandwich, all the soups, Buffalo Chicken Dip, Wonton Bites, the PIZZA! Seriously all so yummy. Sabrina, Madi, Cynthia, Elisaid, Jake, Sam are some of our favorite employees. Matt and Karen love you've done and do! Especially your continued support to the veterans and community!

Excellent pizza - reminds me of Shakey's classic thin crust. The bar can get pretty noisy, but the food and service are top-notch.
