Eternal Rest staff was very helpful in my family's time of need. From the time we walk in the funeral home we were greeted and served promptly. Sheri and Steven S were a great team together! They carried the load while we grieved without worry of our loved one. My Father (the deceased) looked handsome and like himself. Everything we ask for was delivered from start to finish. Where do I begin 🥰 I was so lost and when my husband passed away 😥 I called Eternal Rest Funeral to come pick up his body and they delivered! 👍 made the whole process easy and you could feel the warmth and the love! While you’re preparing to put your loved one to rest very professional elegant and upscale, during that time they were very busy and were trying to accommodate everyone and they did a wonderful job! It has taken me over a year to get my review together for the service that I have received from Eternal Rest. My father transitioned last February 18, 2023. For the last year, they have continued to provide quality service. I had initially wanted to give them a 3/5 because there are a few areas that need improving. For instance, We opted to provide the video for his viewing and funeral and on the day of each service, they were not able to play the video that I had taken a lot of time to put together. I had provided them with the video in multiple formats on disk and on USB and neither one would play for the viewing and the tech guy said that he could fix it and let me know. However, he did not get back to me. On the day of the funeral, I was too upset to even notice that it was not even playing during the funeral as discussed. The second thing, my father’s hair was not cut like we wanted, so we had to get the guy to correct it before viewing. (This is the appropriate time they provide to make changes.) The problem was that he left strands of hair on my dad’s shirt and face, and they were still there the next day during the funeral. Thirdly, I typed out everything for the obituary and our pall bearers were listed wrong. Though, they were correct in the document I provided. This is our fault too because when we reviewed the obituary for print, we stated that they were correct. This was something that we noticed after the funeral. Fourthly, The guy who asked the family to line up did not tell us to line up in an order as I have seen at many funerals: (Parents, children, siblings, etc.) This caused us to have to tell my cousin that she was not going to walk in ahead of us (his children). I wish that they had assisted with the line up, so we did not have to regulate that. The last thing, I did not like I was seemingly forced to close my father’s casket alongside my grandmother and my aunt. The guy grabbed my hand and put it up there. I did NOT want to do this. I think if I had a heads up, I would have been more prepared mentally.

Now for the pros: After my father died, Eternal Rest came right away to pick him up after the coroner approved it. We were scheduled to come in right away to make his arrangements. Mr. DJ was very helpful at helping us prepare his services and with helping me with navigating the insurance policies to make payments for his arrangements. Mr. DJ helped us pick out the casket and they had exactly the color my father always wanted. Mr. DJ was knowledgeable of cemetery options that were in our budget. He even coordinated all of the details for the funeral and burial. His face looked natural. They handled him with care. We were able to have the funeral on March 4th, which gave us time to get his suit and prepare for our family to come to the service. The family car was on time to pick us up on the day of the funeral. The driver was friendly. The obituary looked beautiful and printed nicely. We were provided all the extra obituaries, thank you cards, and flowers that were brought to the funeral home. The part that gives this funeral home a 5/5 is in the last year, Sheri has texted me to check on me and my family. This has not occurred on one occasion. They have remembered to check on us on his birthday, during the holidays, and on his death anniversary date. That made such a BIG impact on my heart because these were the days that have been the hardest to push through because my daddy is no longer with us to celebrate. They have even signed me up to receive grief support which has been beautiful to read daily. Just a small reminder that I am not going through this grief process alone.
Anyways, I highly recommend Eternal Rest to other families because the service provided possessed compassion and support that is truly needed when burying your loved one. I only noted what did not work for us because I am all for providing feedback that will help any business improve. Special Thank you and shout out to Mr. DJ and Ms. Sheri. I chose Eternal Rest for my grandmother because of a previous funeral I attended and I loved how the deceased looked like themselves. I don't like when people die and they look DEAD(if that makes sense). My grandmother was beautiful and she looked as if she was just taking a nap. It was exactly I wanted to remember her. Ms. Sheri has checked on me periodically over the past year, reminding me to continue to take things one day at a time and I truly appreciate the out the blue text messages. The staff at this location is patient, caring and thoughtful. The prices are very affordable as well.
