Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack

Service was outstanding and food was very good. The only thing I don't recommend is the crabvocado, it had too much breading and the avocado tastes weird when fried. The frog legs were amazing juicy with on point seasoning, blackened catfish etouffe with gator was amazing fish was perfectly cooked and the veggies were super fresh and the bread pudding were all very delicious. The piña coladas were excellent. The view from the second floor is beautiful, right in front of the Kemah Boardwalk. Will come back when we come to Houston!

The number one reason why we were here is to watch fireworks...and let me tell you , What a great place to watch fireworks without fighting with the crowd. You can watch from upstairs of the restaurant or right across from the restaurant, which is boat docking place. For many years we always stayed home during new years but that would stop now that we find new places to watch for fireworks

Food wide, I like the grilled plates with grilled scallops, shrimp and fish. It tastes quite fresh in my options. The dirty rice and shrimp cocktail was good too, a tad spicy but it was good. The sauteed crab finger was disappointed and misleading, it was more like crab finger soaking in creamy pasta sauce. The shrimp boil could also improve, too much butter and not tasty enough ,need more salt

Service was slow and could also totally improve.

However I gave 4 star because giving the location and their reward incentives, I think it's worth to come back. Today was my first time came but I got $30 off from total bill from registering the rewards.

The food was so good and the drinks were delightful! Wait staff really good too. Ya'll have to go and try it out 💯

I don't know why I've not reviewed this place before! We've been here many times and everything is always delicious. We particularly enjoy the seafood enchiladas, shrimp and crab gumbo, and their seafood nachos. I love their spicy bloody marys. Service is normally pretty good. They have live music on the patio sometimes which is nice. They have a rewards program and tons of specials everyday.

Date night with my hubby was perfect and Crazy Allen’s Swamp Shack was the main reason for it! Great customer service with conversation (Janette), great food, great prices, great mixed drinks, great atmosphere with live music, and your choice of inside or outside dinning! My husband I have been missing out but not anymore after finding this treasure! We will be back! Dr. MoneyQ

We stopped in here to celebrate a birthday. It turned out to be a great choice. Food and atmosphere were great and the service was top notch. Our waiter, Cullen, went above and beyond to make sure we were well cared for. If we ever make it back that way, we will be sure to stop here.

I love all of the lights and overall ambiance of the place. Great to look over the water too. The food was delicious. The waitress and service were awesome. I will definitely go back again.

This Should be a 5 star restaurant. The food was amazing. We had the best service ever. If you go there be prepared to be amazed. Ask for Dustin. He made us feel very comfortable. He was great to our family. I will return just because of the service the fun and the food. It's an experience. I take my hat off to the chef and owner of the business. For putting together a master piece.

What a great place for food and wonderful service! We ate outside and it was nice with a big fan and breeze. Katherine was an amazing server. When we asked her for suggestions, one of the items was the trout medallions. Wowza! I've not had seafood this good in a long time. The trout was flaky, moist, and wrapped around some Cajun rice with shrimp. Plus there were 3 smoky yet sweet tasting shrimp on top. I could've just eaten that shrimp! The two medallions also had fresh steamed carrots and broccoli and super yummy garlic and olive oil new potatoes. It was plenty for two people. We also had an appetizer of bacon-wrapped scallops which I was looking forward to. The scallops were a little over-done and rubbery but maybe that was to make sure the bacon was cooked through. Good tasting other than the texture. Looks like some other great items we're trying next time. We'll definitely be back!

One of the best seafood places in Kemah. I love their seafood platters.

I have where I could get text message from Crazy Allen!!! I happened to be in the area !!! The text I had expired on Sunday 10/29 by one entree and get a drink free and half price off of drinks that day!!! My drink was delicious and the food!!

I'm from Salisbury NC I was visiting my family in Houston Texas in May 2023. And we stop by your restaurant on the way back home. Your Staff was awesome. I got the Mud Bug Burger 🍔 it was a awesome meal. I enjoyed the meal and the music. It was overall the best restaurant that I been in my life. If I come down next time I will be there again 💯 I hope you have a wonderful week ❤

Great experience! Dustin was our server and directed us to the trout medallion entree! AMAZING!

This is my husband and i's "go to" spot to eat when we want a good meal and chill atmosphere. The foods always on point the drinks are great and we always get "our booth" and usually get the same me server who always remembers what we want to drink. And they're quick about everything. We love the swamp shack.

I love the personal pot. Pretty good deal. We've had the burger and fried shrimp that were really good. We also had Oysters Pontchartrain as well as shrimp embrochette. Everything was great! We go fairly often.

Between the incredible service and the incredible food Crazy Alan's did not dissapoint.
Their swamp salad had so much chicken and the greens were extremely fresh! Just the way I like it! The Gator bites were so delicious my 10 year old had 3 helpings. The crab boil was our next favorite followed by the burger. We aren't big fans of Gumbo (last time I had it was in Louisiana) but this was the best we've had yet. The Etouffee was also really good!

First time visiting this place. This place was clean. The food was good. I dont recommend the chicken fried steak at all. It was very rubbery and dry. The boiled shrimp was delicious and so was the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer and the chili cheese fries were delicious as well. The view from the top of the restaurant was beautiful. Some of the servers were not wearing their masks but my server did have her mask on. Would definitely visit again.

This restaurant is definitely worth visiting for every bite you take. My family loves coming here during the summertime. Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack offers a delicious menu with a variety of spicy and savory options that are all excellent. You'll be licking your fingers clean!
