Missouri City Municipal Court

1. You get a traffic ticket.
2. You have three choices, a) pay the ticket anytime before your court date, b) show up on your court date and work out a deal and pay some sort of fee, c) plea not guilty, you will get a new court date.
3. If you plea not guilty, you have a choice... trial by judge or trial by jury.
4. On your new court date for trial, that is your opportunity to tell your side of the story.

There's a lot more details but that is the basics of what to expect. Also, court is not a quick process. Expect to be there anything between 1 to 4 hours.

How come only latinos and blacks are being ticketed? That's all you see in the courthouse . And the judge is no good. Stealing money from the poor to give to the rich. Rosenthal Is not a hero in our community. He's a zero.

The prosecutor is vicious but damn he is good. Never stood a chance...

Sylvia Cobia is not understanding at all. I've explained my situation over and over and she's basically telling me to turn myself in for something I never knew about..

Amanda at the front desk is super rude! She doesn’t even tell you Good morning and get an ugly attitude with face expression like she is annoyed. I came up to her window with a smile saying good morning and thats what I got! She is so unprofessional and thinks that she can talk to people the way she wants to. No wonder they have bad reviews. I am so upset of this court house for having people that don’t like their job. I was having a wonderful morning until I got to this Lady name Amanda. All this for a question that I had.

The clerks are lazy, petty and rude. The Stafford court is much more professional and technologically advanced which is embarrassing because Missouri City is supposed to be the larger more developed city that takes way more in tax revenue. When I asked how I can contact someone or email to complain about their behavior they gave me the run around and basically said there is nobody that will read anything I have to say. If anyone would like to contact me I’d be happy to explain how they mistreated my almost 80 year old father and gave him the run around because they rather sit on their chairs and do nothing then have to use any critical thinking to assist someone. Their arrogance is something only a government worker would have because they know you have to make 20+ mistakes in a calendar year for anything to happen to them.

I’m in disbelief that a judge told me that I could call in to pay, for that to be a lie! It’s ridiculous that I have to keep taking off of work for the liking needs of the courthouse, basically they are making it to where you have no choice but to mess up or keep paying them money! If I have the money to pay why do I have to come in to pay because the website basically says that the workers are incompetent an your payment can be lost! I guess if my name was Karen White I’d be able to stop missing work to deal with all of these slave tactic hula hoops this one sided jurisdictions court house that Missouri City have to offer that only works for one race & it’s not of color. NOT A WHITE PERSON WAS IN SIGHT EXCEPT THE JUDGE AN DA! I guess people of color only get tickets here

Learn your rights and do not let them intimidate you to pay the “fine”. They aren’t your friends.. they are there to take your hard earned money.

With that said, why is it that there are only people of color in the court didnt see one white person other than the judge and the cop🤔🥱

Horrible experience would be an understatement to describe this court ! The judge and the clerks are never on one accord and gives you the run around for their lack of communication and doesn’t take ownership of it! My husband sat in the courts and received specific orders from the judge! Once he finished and goes to the clerk to finalize things, she claims the judge was confused and input the wrong things into the system! If we can’t count on the knowledge and professionalism of the judge, who can you count on?

the black lady judge and the court clerk were very rude to people. They don't give you a chance they just push you to guilty and pay. However, the male judge was very nice guy.

We need a new judge the female judge is straight trash somebody tell Medea to retire !!!

I will give them a negative one store if it was possible the clerk especially the black young lady that works there she’s rude.
