Pilot Knoll is one of my favorite camping spots. All the sites are clean, and you can see the lake. The staff has ALWAYS been helpful and nice. Highly recommend if you can grab a spot. Easy access to the lake from most campsites.

This is a beautiful big park by the lake there is so much to do there and is a great place to take your family especially if you have dogs or kids! I totally recommend this park.

This is a great campground! Sites are a little unlevel (some are a LOT unlevel!), but the campground manager was gr8 helping us switch sites to one that we COULD get level on.

Great park! Clean bathrooms, with plenty of places to set up for a great day at the lake. You do have to pay to get in, but it's worth it, no crowds, plenty of places to get in the water, and you can rent kayaks and paddle boards.

This park is city owned and loved by the locals. The campsite parking spots are long, which makes for room for your camper plus two cars. Many campers also parked their boat on site as well. If interested in floating in the water, keep in mind that the lower numbered spots on the water put you right in the cove. We had spot 32; here are a few pics of our beautiful views. This is our new favorite local spot.

Very good and well maintained recreational water facing park. Enough gazebo and seating places. Good area for parking. Bathroom available inside the park. Boat ram with enough trailers parking places.

Very nice park, paid online and had fully automated checkin. Wood vending machine right behind the entry gate. Bathroom and shower were better than most public parks, just the usual insects you’d expect when outside. Most patrons were RV camping, but we just did tent camping. We were able to run a regular extension cord to our tent from the power hookups.

Great public campground and park operated by the City of Highland Village on Lewisville Lake. Their are excellent trails to walk or ride horses, even has a coral for your horses! Super clean facility, great campsites on the lake with 30 and 50 amp service all with water. There's a dump station near the exit. Day sites available on the lake, covered. Even has a couple of pavilions to rent. Very large easy boat launch ramp with dock access loading. Well lit at night.

A hidden gem! It was a little messy with litter, but the views were perfect! Lots of water fowl and birds galore. We will definitely go back!

This is our favorite go to for camping. We have a pop up camper and love the fact that this entire park is pretty much shaded and has some huge trees. Most of the outer spaces are lake front spaces. Restrooms leave a little to be desired, but are manageable, you're camping after all.

Been here several times. Just perfect for beautiful camping. Nice and quiet. The staff took care of us with a cancellation when we needed it.

I enjoy the trail, but there is a small part that has a lot of trash and could use a good cleaning. The trail is nice and the view of the water is great. It is also fun to see the horses when the people go riding down the path.

Really excellent camp grounds. Didn't see the day pass area but stayed in the campground overnight. Beautiful vista's, reasonably clean bathrooms for a government run campground. It's not Buc-ee's let me just say that.

All their camp spots are designed for RVs so they all have electric and water hookups. You may use them if you just have a tent ⛺

Picnic tables, a grill and a firepit are at your spot. You can swim in the lake, fish, boat, just about anything you can think of outdoors.

They even have an equestrian trail for those of you with a horse. Personally I would rather an ATV but if you would rather ride 2000 pounds of meat you do you.

Trash cans everywhere, wildlife absolutely want your food so lock your food up or toss it.

Secure facility. You have to have a code to get in. They have the info of everyone who comes in, you have to show your drivers license to get a spot.

Firewood vending machine available. Not sure if you can get ice automated or if you have to visit the office but ice is for sale here.

Playground for kids! Like it's not massive but hey it's in good order and shaded.

Beautiful vista's, worth going to. Like 30 something per night. I don't remember. That will just go up more and more I'm afraid.

Awesome place, beautiful in every way. The park is clean with several areas to fish, swim, boat, and bbq. So close to everything but you feel so far away. Has great security, will get code for overnight camping. Will visit again.

Great to see park back open. Nice trails for hiking and biking. Equestrian trails also and lots of nature to see. Only about an hour north of DFW. A true hidden gem.

Beautiful setting for the campground. Electric & water, dump station on site. The woman who checked us in on Nov 17th was very kind & helpful. Yr given a gate code so u can come & go as you want. Small bathroom, only 2 showers & 2 toilets. The building & the showers were warm. The shower not turning off every 30 seconds & having to push the large button that often wld have been better. Once a minute seems more reasonable. Will definitely be back

Beautiful, well kept park, very clean. Would be a great place for kids parties, get-togethers, etc. Very large covered area with tables and benches, as well as smaller ones dotted throughout park.
