Lake House Inn

We at the Lake House Inn tonight, on a whim, and were pleasantly delighted. The Old Fashioned’s were SO delicious! Our server greeted us with a smile, some warm bread, and ridiculously good honey butter. Each meal came with a good sized starter (salad, soup, and Mac’n cheese for our kiddo). The Prime rib was perfect! The shrimp pasta was creamy and delicious! And the chicken strips with honey mustard sauce (recommend by their bartender) hit the spot. What a hidden gem! We’ll be back soon!

Had the Valentines special Beef Wellington. It was delicious. Everything was so good. Soup, salad and dessert. Great food and service. A very nice atmosphere. And so excited that the Goat and Berry appetizer is going to be back. It's sooo good.

I had my wedding reception there. The owner helped out in every way possible. Made my special night absolutely perfect. The Lakehouse is like my second home. Love the staff!!!! The atmosphere is beautiful, wonderful lighting in the place. The food is AMAZING!!!!Bathroom is always clean with body sprays if you think you may stink lol! The farmhouse tasting room is stunning and they offer free shots for you to try their massive liquor collection. You can try before you buy 🥰. It’s an experience for the entire family. Dog friendly in the summer outdoors. Everything you could ask for or want is at the Lakehouse!!

Went for the Friday night fish fry and it didn't disappoint! Have always loved the Lake House and am so glad its back! The atmosphere, drinks, food, service..and music was great! Kudos to Lori and her staff ! We'll be back!

This has been a fixture in the area for so long. In it's current incarnation it's a bit different from years ago BUT in a good way. The bar, and service is exceptional. They will guide you to your perfect custom drink. Gift shop is cute. And, the kitchen is making a comeback!

My husband and I love coming here and it is our "go to" local hangout place. We originally got hooked because of the amazing crafted cocktails that they serve. But now come back for the featured theme night events (trivia night, Whiskey/Wine Wednesdays or Drag Queen BINGO), outdoor music bands, Sunday Market, and tasty food. The atmosphere, staff and drinks are all top notch!

Stopped by this morning to check out The Farmhouse. Always on the lookout for a tasting room with interesting spirits. I was delighted to discover that the staff is friendly, helpful, and well informed on their stock. I had no intention on making a purchase, but between the samples and the stories behind the bottles, I couldn't resist. I anticipate being back very soon and sending like minded adventurers that way.

The Sunday outdoor Market, shopping, and entertainment was wonderful. Nice shade and outdoor seating with a bar. Atmosphere is so enjoyable 😉. It's on the top of my favorite places to visit and take my friends 😊.

The Lake House Inn is a local gem that has been polished and enhanced to greatness! The staff is amazing and welcoming and the only thing better, may be the craft cocktails and delicious food. It is a place where you ARE a local or treated like one. Perfection❤

Great food, Bloody Mary's in a bag

I have taken friends and family to the Lake House many times over the past 10 years. Great old fashion drinks and food every time. The history and architecture of the place is interesting. Portions are very generous, reasonable prices. Enjoy!

Went with friends on a Thursday night in January for dinner and had an enjoyable time. Traffic was light this time of year but the bartender was friendly and shared some of the history of this historic inn and restaurant. We practically had the dining room to ourselves but service was great and the food was good. We will go back again soon.

Have been going here on a regular basis for about 8 years, and I always recommend it to others. We live in a NW suburb of Chicago, and own a home on the lake. I have celiacs and it is sometimes hard to find a restaurant that will work with me. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have never gotten sick after eating here. You can't beat the prices, I recommend anyone with dietary problems to try this place out.Make sure you talk to the wait staff and really explain what your needs are.

No food yet with new owners but drinks, atmosphere, service, prices were all amazing!!! I can’t wait to have dinner there come October. I loved the atmosphere and will be back when the kitchen opens!

Just there today 1-8-2023. Very nice place, very cool building/history. Excellent staff, drinks and food, highly recommend.

The selection of liqueurs, liquors, Bourbon and tequila is one of the best in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful
