Love this market! This is one is even bigger than the one close to where I live. The options for asian goods is the highlight of this place. I usually bug sauces, marinated means, exotic fruits, and frozen items. If only I understand the languages on the packaging, I'd probably buy more products.

Fast shopping experience with good produce.
Huge snack selection. Staff are quick to check you out and have you on your merry way.
The shops inside are extremely nice as well. The kpop store, bakery, and Korean makeup store.
Accessible and easy to find parking most of the time. It’s a good area to sit down and get some food as well,

I really liked shopping in this place, the vegetables and fruits were very fresh and my favorite of all the seafood. I was impressed now this store will be my new place to do my shopping.

The best Asian market you could go to. Anything you need from seafood, candy, snacks, veggies, or wine. If it’s Asian and you’re looking for it, they probably have it. The only thing I know they don’t have is soju unfortunately. This place is like a Disneyland for Asian cuisine ingredients or snacks. They also have a cute bakery and cosmetics shop inside as well. Should very much check it out!

Excellent market spot if you are looking for a good variety of Asian specialities. Great for exotic fruits and veggies you can't find at your everyday grocery store. Good place for exploring food items.

Fun shopping experience. I was there for the sheet masks but perused every aisle. My friend ordered gigantic shrimp that were $14 for 2 pounds. There are tons of items to choose from.

Been to the other H Mart around town and it wasn't as beautiful as this one. This one is so organized, clean and it looks brand new, it is well kept and everything is in it's place, it is a bit small but they still fit a food court, bakery and small stores. You can find a ton of things here. Definitely coming back with more time.

Everything one can imagine from around the World, but primarily from Asia; and, if not they will have what one is not expecting. I have had some exotic stuff and so does this place. The french-asian bakery, "Tous Les Jours" has incredible 🍞, 🎂, and ☕. The restaurants in the back are good, and especially the one where they serve duck (I had had in my life on multiple occasions; however, this place I can say that it is Amazing!!!). Awesome 😎 place

Really expensive six-pack but it was worth it,
my brother was really happy. I think this is the only store you can find real Japanese beer here in Houston . They have fresh red meat and when I say is fresh is cause WOW it is fresh RED AND SOFT 👍🏼

Very nice Asian market. The store is very clean and well organized. They have an awesome selection of Chinese brand foods. The produce is very fresh and plentiful. The seafood looks very good and has many fish options. Both fresh in the tank and filleted on ice. They also have a bakery and eating area with many tables to eat at. We were very impressed.

I like H mart a lot! There are many good products and quality is fairly good! So many options of different kinds of Asian foods are sold here! Of course many are Korean but still great! Come and get your Asian goodies! Cheers 🥂

The amount of Asian food in H Mart is top notch. Fresh herbs, fruit, seafood, meat and poultry. The snack isle is great too. You want it, they have it. They even have a place to order cooked food in the back, with seating. This place is huge. Definitely a hot spot for your grocery needs!

This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion.

We went to H-Mart on Tuesday, 10/5/21. we are regular customers and I was waiting for this whole Covid pandemic to be gone to write a review so that it would be more accurate.

We do Love H-Mart and we go there at least once a week, which means I know the store very well and I know the staff just as well.
They do have EVERYTHING that an Asian supermarket should have, you just have to find it. They have so much stuff that not even the workers know where to find specific products. Every time it feels like a small adventure, every time we discover something new we did not see the time before. From a food-knowledge point of view we grew alot by coming here. Know I know food that Ignored the existence of for half of my life. Awesome! but I'll be more specific in the following description:

THE PRODUCE DEPARTMENT: well stocked and with plenty of choice. The overall feeling is of a department displaying and selling quality produce, fresh and selected. they have ORGANIC produce available if you fancy buying that. You will find a 60 of produce that is Asian style and a 40% of produce that is western style. Many weird-looking fruit and vegetable to discover and acknowledge.

THE MEAT DEPARTMENT: well stocked and with plenty of choice. Especially if you are looking for delicious marinated meat. Alot of pork meat, chicken, beef and other types of meat.

THE SEAFOOD DEPARTMENT: probably their strong side... their seafood department is a a mind trip. You really do feel like you are in one the many fish markets in Bangkok... just amazing. They have live freshwater fish in large blue tanks, live mollusks and crustaceous in tanks and plastic crates and a wide range of fresh/frozen seafood. PLENTY of choice!

THE SUSHI SECTION: They have a small restaurant inside the store, that we found out 1 year later, lol. They have a big selection of Fresh Sushi and many other cooked meals, cooked warm food. you can sit down and enjoy the delicious food they make. we like their Sushi. especially the fresh sashimi trays. Just do not go to the Restaurant after 7pm as you wont find much.

THE BEER and WINE SECTION: They have a small selection of Wine and beer, just the essential for a sophisticated dinner.

THE BEVERAGES DEPARTMENT: They have a big beverage section well stocked, with many Asian style drinks.

THE HEALTH and BEAUTY SECTION: The store itself does not have much, but inside there are two small shops where you can definitely find that.

PHARMACY: The store has a TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE pharmacy, but you have to know what you are looking for as they have no clue.

THE BACKERY DEPARTMENT: The store itself does not carry western style bakery products but inside there is a small bakery shop /Coffee shop where you can buy amazingly delicious bakery products and cakes, and a cappuccino if you fancy that.

THE FROZEN PRODUCTS DEPARTMENT: well stocked and with plenty of choice, especially Asian style products.

THE KITCHEN SECTION: They have quite a few isles filled with kitchen products that you can explore and enjoy.

THE FRONT END AND CASHIERS: mostly Asian, cashiers speak little English, they do not smile or welcome you, but they are kind and say thank you when you pay.

THE CURBSIDE and DELIVERY SECTION: They do not have Curbside service and they do not offer delivery service.

STAFF: mostly Latinos, they are kind and friendly, but often they do not know where products are. associates you see in the isles do not really interact much and won't understand you.

CLEALINESS: always clean and neat/tidy. You won't find a single messy isle.

PLACE: The store is big, modern look, well organized and easy to navigate. they have a big parking lot with 24/7 security. they have plenty of shopping carts, both small and big.

LOCATION: Chinatown district, west-Houston.

PRICES: They are more expensive than the other Asian markets around Chinatown, but the quality of their products is also higher than the competitors.

CONCLUSION: We love H-MART! You will too.

Has everything u want or think u will need in neatly organized manner and packed neatly on the shelves. Lots of snack varieties that made me want to get one of each. Also lots of drag seafood and sushi there. I think I will be going there one evening to try the sashimi and side dishes one day. It looks pretty fresh. Great selection of live shellfish at really good prices. I was surprised to see it is comparable to the hmart on blalock.

I don't do SW Houston for a number reasons, but after a friend said the Korean community was thriving there, I cared very little, until I accepted a dinner invite and got my mind blown? It wasn't the tea shops, restaurants nor massage parlors. It was Hmart! When I walked in I was like this is what an Asian Whole Foods must look like. I was impressed with the design, the cleanliness and the selection. It was very impressive. I learned, saw and touch numerous food items from all over the world, but mainly Asia and specifically Korea. Even, if you don't need the ingredients for an authentic Korean dish, you need to go for the life changing aura a grocery store done well can provide-it was grocery store heaven & nirvana rolled into one. I will be back.

Pricier than other stores in the area. However, it's clean and organized. They have more Korean specific items, including handmade desserts and a deli. The small food court has cheap and filling food. They also have a better selection of skincare products than other grocers.

I do not know how they have so many options in one store. Everything was very organized and neat. There were not only many products, but also many brands of said products. Amazing. Also in the building attached they have what appeared to be two restaurants ( sushi and warm dishes?), a bakery, a cosmetic store, and a lovely little stationary/kpop shop.
