That's fine authentic Italian restaurant hidden within Houston has the freshest product I have ever enjoyed. They pride themselves on quality and the fact that the food is always fresh and right working with local farmers and fishermen. I recommend this highly when staying in Houston

The food here is amazing 👏 and I cant say enough about how kind the staff is. The wine is always the perfect temperature and the selection is on point. They have a smaller selection than some places, but its because they don't need the long list. The wine options are perfect!
The pizza is fresh and the crust is almost a thin crust, but not too thin.
And I highly recommend the seafood pasta. The owner gets the seafood fresh everyday and it tasted fresher than places I've eaten in Galveston. Highly recommend Tortoni. 😋

Closest I've had to Italy in America

The spaghetti alla carbonara is the best I've had since being in Italy years ago. It may be better but I dont dare make that statement.

Babe and I truly enjoyed each part of fresh, homemade meal.

The only negative part were the too hard of garlic knots making them hard to chew. But that could be a one off accident. I'll definitely be back!

Not sure why Tortoni isn’t packed at lunch. The food is extremely well prepared and presented. The restaurant has a very warm, homey feel. Started with a mix green salad and followed with Chicken Mr Ray with a light Pino to pair. Fantastic. Will be back, friends in tow.

Amazing food and amazing service! I’ve been there few times and I love it! Great variety of wine and always fresh homemade pasta. 100% recommended

Great calzone tonight. Found this place today and I was amazed at the taste of my calzone. Awesome.

Service was good and they helped my wife find a wine she liked.

Plenty of parking out front which is an added bonus. Price was not expensive either for what we had.

All their dishes are exquisite. the atmosphere and the attention is excellent, 100% recommended. From now on it will be my favorite restaurant.

The food, the experience, and the family atmosphere are bar none. One of the best Italian restaurants in town comparable to that of the best Carrabba's. Houston elite unite. This is a gem and a diamond in the rough. If I were not born native Houstonian since the 80's, I most likely would be flying into town for these meals.

We came for dinner on Saturday night. It was not busy, which is really surprising given how great it was. The food is superb and quickly served. The service is fantastic and friendly. We came with two small children and the owner was so welcoming to them. Also - the kid’s meals were just as good as ours - homemade chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese. We plan to come back next week to try more!

DELICIOSO! I LOVED the atmosphere...very cool, old-school feel to the place. Good music...great ambiance. The owner and server made us feel like old friends. And the FOOD! I saw someone earlier review that they didn't like it because they didn't get bread...well, they must have said something rude when they got there because we got the most delicious garlic knots before our meal. Will definitely be back.

This place was excellent! I had the generous portion of lasagna which was fantastic! My partner had the mouth watering polo picata. Our waiter Joel could not be nicer - made us feel like a part of the family at this family owned and operated restaurant. We will definitely be back and bringing friends!

I ate here for the first time today and the pizza is absolutely amazing! I am one of the ones who typically leaves the crust on the plate, but here I couldn't stop eating it. It has the perfect balance of dough and crunch, not dry at all like you get at some places. I had the salad/slice of pizza combo and even the salad was good. They had an awesome pesto dressing that was healthy and tasty. Would highly recommend! This will be a regular for me.

I loved it so good very tasty perfect on the dot not to much garlic on my bread not very salty just perfect for my taste.
but the one i was going to be worried about was my 14, 7, and 4 year old there the ones that say its good. So if my kids approve its good there the biggest food pickers ever they love Italian food but would not eat nothing from a can or frozen so if we all enjoyed so much and thank you. I can highly recommend this Italian restaurant and i will be returning for more.

Even better than I expected. Was traveling through Houston and decided to eat from here because of the good reviews. I went inside to ask for a custom pizza to suit my vegetarian needs and I was helped by the gentleman at the bar. It came out spectacular. Fresh veggie taste, juicy, and a very tasty sauce. 10/10.

Excellent place, totally worth the price tag on the dishes. Had a date night there, 2 entrees and a bottle of wine, total under $100. Delicious food, especially the Chicken Alfredo. Will definitely be back!

PS. I dont get why some people are complaining about the price. Its a nice restaurant, not a taco truck.

This place is awesome. They’re an Italian family owned & operated authentic Italian cuisine with some of the best service I’ve ever seen. The owners really go above and beyond to make sure every dish that comes out of the kitchen is absolutely amazing and his customers are happy. By reading some of the reviews, you can tell this restaurant is his baby. Great food, great service & great atmosphere.

First time here and it was amazing. Great food, wonderful service, and just what I needed. I brought my 4 year old which made me nervous when I walked in because the vibe is cozy but date night. The owner came out and was extremely sweet to my daughter (who was a little wild and excitable) The wine selection looks amazing though today was not my day to sample it so I will be back. She had the kids pizza which came out super fast and she ate it all. I have the beef lasagna which I um... inhaled. Ha. Thank you for your kindness.

WOW! Their garlic knots are amazing. I have to ask them to bring another order out just because of how amazing they are. Their pizza and ravioli are to die for. I cant believe how incredibly wonderful this place is and consistent on always having good food.

Highest quality ingredients. Excellent service (very attentive but not pushy). Pasta is outstanding (had the Carbonara). I usually don't eat salad, had to finish mine and it was beautifully decorated with really tasty imported ingredients. Family owned and awesome wines. I understand many people are use to ordering huge low quality plates when eating out. I prefer quality over quantity any day. Highly recommended !

All the food is made with fresh ingredients and it'll be the closest to italian food you'll ever come across Houston! Staff is very formal and service is excellent.
Ask for recommendations if you're not sure what to order.
The wines are a bit pricey for most people but the boutique wines they have a worth every penny, listen to your server!
Overall, if you're looking for a great restaurant experience and some of the best plates and wines, definitely give it a try. Also come on thursdays, they have a saxophonist weekly!
