From the first phone call to Schmidt Funeral Home, Randy Peters was very considerate and sensitive. Randy directed my Father's funeral 11 years before. He honored my Dad and I knew we were in good hands. Randy took care to help us make all the difficult decisions that need to be made to honor our Mother. Everything was just the way she would have wanted to be remembered. The visitation room was a wonderful homey environment where we could reminisce about Mom with our family and friends. After the burial the next morning, we hosted an extended family lunch at Schmidt's. The funeral home staff made sure that everything was set up. They anticipated our needs and took care of things before we could ask. The chapel was set up with photos and flowers for a beautiful remembrance service. I cannot say enough to express our gratitude for Schmidt Funeral Home. The staff and facilities are the best.

Schmidt Funeral Home helped my family to lay my father’s body to rest in a way that was comforting, thorough, and peaceful. Our experience in planning at the funeral home wasn’t too traumatic. We felt we were given great attention, good ideas, and provided with things that made his home going memorable (video screens, choice in music, chapel decor, chapel space/seating, etc.).

We previously used Schmidt to bury my grandfather in 2002, at which time they also provided very pleasing services. We truly appreciated their help in burying my father at Houston National Cemetery.

We cannot begin to express how much we appreciated the care and 5 star service we just experienced from Schmidt. Cyndi Hoots is absolutely amazing. She took great care of us from our very first meeting to the very last minute we were at the Service for our son. We lost him to a tragic motorcycle accident recently and our emotions were raw and we were clueless on each step. Cyndi held our hands the entire way. Schmidt Funeral Home took wonderful care of my grandmother. She had been ill for a long time and lost an excessive amount of weight. I was worried she would not look well at her viewing but Schmidt exceeded my expectations. My grandmother looked absolutely beautiful. Her makeup and clothes were spectacular. It was clear the staff cared for her as much as my family did. Thank you for making my grandmother's farewell service a pleasant one.

Parents should never have to plan their child's funeral, regardless of their child's age. Cyndi Hoots and her staff made us very comfortable throughout the entire process. Cyndi wanted to know more about our son and she and her staff then tailored their services to remembering him. The obituary Cyndi wrote captured the essence of our son as the wonderful, kind person that he was and gave the reader an insight to the child we cherished. My wife recently lost her father, and Schmidt Funeral Home was incredibly kind, thorough, and helpful throughout the entire experience. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by four men in nice suits who warmly opened the door and welcomed us. The establishment itself is new and impeccably clean. Given the difficult circumstances, the staff went above and beyond, working tirelessly and even staying late to assist us, for which we are immensely grateful. They provided excellent advice and communication, going so far as to respond promptly even during late hours for urgent matters. In the scorching Texas heat, with temperatures consistently reaching 100 degrees in June, the air conditioning broke down. However, they promptly resolved the issue in time for our scheduled visitation and were transparent throughout the process. We genuinely appreciate their honesty and the effort they put in to overcome this situation. Randy, Cyndi, and the rest of the group, thank you so much! Your exceptional support truly alleviated the stress during this difficult time.

Dealing with the loss of a loved one can be overwhelming, so I cannot thank the staff at Schmidt enough for the caring, thorough and professional service I received during one of the most difficult times of my life. The team went above and beyond to try and understand the life of my father in order to provide a personalized service. They did an outstanding job and I believe my father would be proud. They were terrific in regards to communication and updates and made the overall experience much easier to deal with. My wife lost her brother a couple of weeks ago. We were dealing with a very dark time and this place helped us capture his essence and had a wonderful memorial service. They took the toughest moment that hit my family and turned it into a beautiful ceremony to remember and pay tribute to a dear family member. Cyndi and her team were responsive, supportive, and helpful. From helping us getting the death certificate signed so we can have the memorial on time to giving suggestions for the memorial and after. Our rep Tonya was patient and took the time to explain the process of saying goodbye to my father, even though we didn't have a service or viewing. She made herself available through the weekend and always got back to us immediately. Our dealings with Tonya and Schmidt were made easy in a very difficult time.

My objective was to arrange my Living Funeral Plan. I was informed & presented with all I didn’t know in a cordial & professional manner. The representative (Tonya) was well equipped to address and answer all of my questions. I have peace of mind after choosing Schmidt for my future arrangements.
