Smart Living Medical Center

I've been a patient for the last 5-6 years. I absolutely love Dr. Z! He's always taken very good care of me. Dr. Z also saw and treated my husband, daughter, and my father until his death!
Since the insurance change, so I can continue to see him, it got screwed up and now I'm not able to see him. I've been sick for the last 3 weeks! I've been to the ER three times! It was a stupid typo on the insurance card! We've repeatedly asked for help and the office manager insulted my husband! I have a degree in Healthcare billing and coding and Healthcare Administration! I KNOW HOW IT WORKS! I didn't appreciate how the office staff, especially the manager can treat and talk to the patientsin that manner! They're NOT the doctor! We also called the insurance advisor THREE times and GUESS WHAT? She couldn't figure it out! I had an agent at my home and he couldn't stop telling my husband how intelligent I am and that I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING! AND that I ask very good questions!
Again, I love Dr. Z! His office staff is a different story. When I first saw him, I was able to walk in. There was maybe 2-3 office staff. A very small practice with a very welcome and homey feel. Now, I'm assuming, it's all about the bottomline, there's people I don't even know! AND I went EVERY MONTH!!
My husband has several conditions and needs a doctor. He was even diagnosed with diabetes by a specialist! After 2 years of going to Dr. Z's office. It's unheard of. We both get our annual physicalswith blood work.
I could keep going on and on... Dr. Z is the best doctor I've been to in my last 20+ years! But, I've had better treatment by other office staff!!
I wanted to put it out there, speak up, and DON'T let the office manager run you over! She may be overwhelmed by the job, but if that's the case, maybe she needs to rethink what she needs out of a job!! You insult my family, you insult me! I'm just sorry for being the polite, nice girl who never got the chance to let Dr. ZEGARELLI know! I will greatly miss him and I wish him the best!
I do want to thank the office staff for allowing me to get sick without any help!!
