Residence Inn by Marriott Austin Southwest

This is an excellent hotel to stay in Austin, situated not too far from downtown Austin or the UT Austin Campus. The cost is reasonable and does not exceed the usual costs of hotels. Furthermore, I have stayed at this hotel for four different periods during my visit to Austin, and the staff was exceptionally helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this facility.

Fantastic staff and well-stocked rooms. Very much feels like a home away from home. And no size/breed restrictions for their canine guests ❤

We booked a 4 night stay in a one bedroom and received Ambassador status recognition with bonus points + a bonus amenity out of a toy chest. Normally with this brand there isn't a lot of recognition, so that was noticed!

Pros:
- The front desk was friendly upon arrival
- Breakfast area was clean and well stocked
- The room was laid out well and spacious
- There were two places to sit for couples that both work remotely (a dining table and desk)

Cons:
- It's not a new property, so a little worn out if that's an issue for some.

In general when in need of a hotel in southwest Austin this is a great option.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Friendly staff. Beautiful backyard with solid WiFi to work from while enjoying the fresh air. Will stay here every time we visit the kid while she’s working in Austin.

The staff, both night and day shifts, were very friendly and efficient. I stayed on Christmas Eve, do I never expect people to be thrilled when they would rather be with their family, but they were all wonderful.

Everything is exceptionally good here at this Marriott! The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive; They made me feel welcomed and appreciated the kind gesture for my birthday. The front desk clerks are excellent at their hospitality skills; The hotel is well kept, new/modern with options and amenities. It was worth the price with breakfast included. I haven't gotten a chance to swim due to the rain but hopefully I will get to, if not that would be the only damper on the trip but otherwise the Hotel is amazing from top to bottom. My room was everything I could hope for in a suite.

Update 4/20/2024: We enjoyed our last stay so much, we came back again this April. Loved the breakfast, see new pictures of the baked ham, homestyle breakfast potatoes and fluffy scrambled eggs. One of the best breakfast bars ever with these great hot food choices too!

The Residence Inn Austin Southwest has great reviews and they are justified! Fron_ desk staff are friendly and helpful. I had one billing issue and it was cleared up with one followup to my satisfaction.

The breakfast buffet is superb with lots of fresh food, hot foods and healthy food choices (see video). Even gluten free muffins (on top of fridge). Our Studio room was clean and spacious with a kitchen (sink, microwave, full size fridge). Great exercise room and outdoor pool.

The main reason I'm writing a review is, Ms. Renee was our host and went above and beyond for us. She simply is the best! As far as our stay the rooms were nice and beds were comfy! Has great accommodations! Will definitely stay again!!

For our son’s wedding in Austin, our family, other family members and friends stayed at the Residence Inn Austin Southwest for 2 to 3 nights May 2023. The hotel worked perfect for family that came from different states throughout the United States. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel lobby and the pool area worked great for family to hang out. The hotel sales director, Elizabeth Beeson, provided exceptional service with our room blocks and was extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel desk staff was also very helpful and courteous, especially Juanita, Renee and Janice. We had a wonderful experience at the Residence Inn Austin Southwest and would highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are spacious, comes with a built in kitchen and work desk, the complimentary breakfast options were good and on schedule. The location kinda makes the stay non-walkable, will surely recommend getting a car for commute. Overall a nice experience

We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean. The employees were pleasantly happy. It was a convenient location too.

We took a chance based on reviews and were not disappointed. I am super picky, but everything looked so clean in our room. We liked having the beds in a separate space from the kitchen/living room area. I also liked having the vanity space outside the bathroom.
The front desk staff were more than happy to accommadate our request to make our stay more comfortable. The food was good and a great way to start our day. They had plenty of options to choose from.
The beds were super comfy. If you're unfortunate enough to have inconsiderate people above you, you will hear running/jumping loud and clear. My husband brought a box fan and it helped drown it out a bit.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The hotel is very clean and quiet. The staff is very friendly! Our kids loved the pool. It was a very comfortable stay.

We booked a block of rooms here for a wedding party where the venue was 5 miles away. The hotel was very clean with nice large rooms with kitchen area. The staff was very friendly and Elizabeth who worked with us on the room blocks was extremely communicative, helpful and courteous. This hotel would be very popular for CenTex wedding parties to stay so would definitely recommend booking far in advance during peak wedding months. The only reason for a 4-star on location is all the road construction in the area which you would need to take into account for any scheduled activities.

I was impressed with the quality of this hotel for the price. The room was large and had a built in mini kitchen, complete with a fridge, microwave and stove top. The bed was so comfy- one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept on. There was also a nice complimentary breakfast offered in the mornings.

My family and I, along with our friends, stayed at the Residence Inn Austin SW for my son’s wedding…total of 130 guests, for a 3 day wedding event. We are from NY, and hosting a wedding 1800 miles away was a daunting task. General manager, Susanne Thau, along with her front desk manager, Elizabeth Beeson, and Chloe Richards made sure that we had everything that we needed in order for all to have a great time. They accommodated all our needs and everything went smoothly. Susanne made sure that her staff took care of all our needs throughout the weekend.
The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are large and clean. The meeting space and general areas, including a wonderful outdoor space with a pool and hot tub are gorgeous!
It allowed for us to have a brilliant weekend.
We cannot say enough thanks to them all for making it a memorable weekend, one that we won’t ever forget.

Whole experience was great! The staff was extremely accommodating and made it their mission to take care of us. They blessed us with an extended checkout time with allowed us to spend another 3-4 hours with family. We had an issue with our bill, but Juan took immediate action and exceeded our expectations.

The room we had is probably the biggest room I had since my honeymoon suite, and this was just a normal room for this hotel. The pool and whirlpool are both clean. The exercise room was clean and machines were all functional. Free breakfast is amazing, with a spacious lobby to dine at. Maid service was fast and responsive when I asked for an extra towel, but didn't need more than that. The full size fridge, stovetop, dining set, and dishwasher made it easy for us to get groceries and dine in for meals outside of breakfast. Also very dog friendly, with a large backyard area for pooch exercise. I hope to stay again soon!

Beautiful new hotel. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived so they offered us a first floor room which had high ceilings and so much space. Infinity pool and hot tub and delicious breakfast with everything you would expect. Only complaint is that the coffee in the containers was lukewarm.
