This place exceeded my expectations!! The front desk people were exceptional (especially Chasity, who went above and beyond to find me a safety pin and watch my plants), the rooms were spacious, and the accommodations were perfect. The suites had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a full sized fridge, mugs, plates, bowls,... absolutely everything. I wish I could have stayed longer, and was sad to leave. One thing is for sure, Colton House gave me the best hotel experience ever during my many visits to Austin.

We came to Austin for 2 nights last summer and this hotel was just amazing! It's the perfect location. Close to downtown, a lot of restaurants and Zilker park. Our room was so pretty and we had a lot of space. The little kitchen was great to have! They have a bar inside that had great drinks. Staff at check-in was so kind and helpful. I'd definitely come back.

Friendly service, unique beautiful western chic decor, roomy — a fun experience! Our room had Two double beds, a nice sitting area, a kitchenette with tall fridge, a small table that seats four, and a bathroom with two sinks, a giant shower, and a separate toilet room with a locking door. For two people there were nine hangers, four shelves about 3 1/2 feet long, and a smaller shelf above the hanging area. It might not seem like enough, but that’s a minor detail. The room and the entire place are beautiful! And then there’s the cafe with food truck and outdoor patio, and a library-type space above. There’s also a small pool that does not look like a hotel. All really relaxing and make you feel like you’re getting away.

Everything from reservation to checkout was simple and quick.
Front desk personnel were welcoming and accommodating.
Our room was just what we were looking for, classy and quaint. We had a full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and dishes. Plenty of towels and toiletries for the two of us. The coffee and cocktail bar on site is beautiful. They have cabanas and a pool. They also have an exercise room but I didn't check it out, next time! They have a lounge area and space to work or read. The location is perfect too, close to downtown Austin but yet far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of traffic and noise. There is a chain grocery store and a local grocery store nearby. We definitely will be staying here again.

Great boutique hotel. Pricey but worth it. Nice ambiance outside around the pool area. View outside my room was a construction site. Close to great local spots. Expect $33 for parking per night. Overall great experience and recommend a try. .

We loved everything about this hotel. We were traveling with our three young kids and the staff did everything to make our stay better every day! Shout out to Corey the late evening front desk person! The decor is stunning. Location was even better than we expected. 10/10 for us!

I give the hotel and staff 5 stars. Everyone was very nice, especially Chasity at the front desk. Unfortunately, my wife was bitten by a dog at the pool which kind of ruined our trip, but we can tell the hotel is taking the incident seriously, and they were gracious in providing us with first aid. We would definitely stay here again.

Just had a fantastic stay here with an incredible room and even more incredible staff that really went above and beyond! Customer service is more than alive and well here, Chastity went above and beyond to help us when we accidentally made a reservation for the wrong night. She was incredibly warm and welcoming as our first person of contact in Austin!

We enjoyed our stay at this trendy hotel. Our room was nice with a small kitchen and full sized fridge. The front desk staff was friendly and the coffee/cocktail bar with a pool put it over the top. There are some restaurants, venues, grocery stores, shops, and bars you can walk to from this location and getting Ubers/Lyfts was easy to go anywhere else you needed in Austin.

The Colton House is an elegant, cozy and stunningly beautiful property. After a three night stay, I'm sure I will be back and will continue to recommend this hotel over and over again. The manager, Scott, was detail-driven and proactive to any need that we may have had, and kind and responsive when asked questions about the area and hotel amenities. Every staff member seemed happy to be there and were absolutely lovely. We enjoyed the bar, the multiple relaxing leisure areas (not to mention our luxurious , impeccably appointed room, omg) as well as the food truck vendor. Perfect escape for a mini staycation or an extended stay. 100% satisfaction all the way around.

We loved our stay here!!! And the night shift service at Simona's is impeccable- thank you Katy and Caitlin for a wonderful evening of delicious drinks and laughs. And the food truck was unbelievable too!!!! His food is so good and clean, we ended up eating breakfast and dinner there instead of going out.

We stayed here for 5 days, 4 nights and had a lovely time. I love boutique hotels. This place was charming and cozy. I loved the decor. The service was great. For example, I was concerned about the construction noises nearby because my partner was working for a portion of the trip and I sent a note to the hotel. They made sure to put us in a quiet room facing away from the construction. We didn’t hear anything.

There was a in-house cafe/bar and a taco food truck that was delicious. I think we were here several times during our stay because there was nothing else in a short walking distance. There are quite a lot of shops within a 3 mins drive but if your just waking up and want coffee right away, this was an amazing option.

The location was great and everything we wanted was a short uber ride away.

I didn’t check out the amenities but it honestly didn’t seem that impressive. The pool is pretty small but we were out quiet a bit so depends on what your looking for. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend.

Absolutely beautiful accommodations. If you enjoy the gothic librarian vibe, then this is your place. Pet friendly!!! The coffee house on site was a great addition to our stay. Staff was super friendly and polite. Very clean, gorgeous furnishings and convenient location to downtown.

This hotel is better than any other hotel I've stayed at. Everything was spotless to beds to the fridge, and the showers' water was so smooth. the only thing I was worried about was the houses next by because I woke up hearing someone aggressively yelling, fighting with someone, or something.

Very nice rooms and beautiful amenities! Located in down town with various options for food and entertainment. I loved the decor! It felt more like an air B n B than a hotel! Very homey! I won’t stay anywhere else again!

Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stay in Austin and this place surpassed any of the other hotel stays we had in Texas during our stay there.

Firstly, the staff here are excellent and were keen to share some suggestions of their favourite places to visit in and around Austin (none of which we had flagged previously and all of which were really great suggestions).

Secondly, this hotel does not have valet parking but direct in/out access to their underground parking garage. As a tourist wanting quick access to a car without having to wait and without having to find change for tips every time this is actually a much much more convenient option than offered by almost every other hotel.

Third, the rooms are pretty large, very modern and really well appointed with super comfy king sized beds. Quality of amenities was much higher than other hotels at of even above this price point (you might actually want to use them). The other big thing for us was DRINKABLE COFFEE in the rooms. Hotels all over the US seem to without fail have those horrible cartridge machines or some kind of poor quality instant coffee. The Colton hotel has drip machines with ground beans, restocked every day. It’s not luxury coffee by any means but is not the usual cup of misery you would get in most hotels.

The location of this hotel on south congress was perfect for us to use as a base for the city, and we found ourselves walking into the city or using the e-scooters pretty much every day to get around (great fun for a few days exploring).

Lastly, Simonas bar in the basement at the far end of the hotel had live music the night we went (I think it’s this way every night) with a showcase of local talent …. which as you can imagine in Austin there is no shortage of.

Overall can’t fault this hotel and will absolutely be back here if ever back in Austin.

Had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is so beautiful and unique. It’s very quiet in the rooms and decor really sets it apart from other places. The chandeliers and large mirrors in every bedroom are stunning, the beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are exceptionally clean. It just felt so luxurious and the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. One of the best four star hotels in town. Highly recommend.

I was here for 2 different long terms stays, both about 2 weeks and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. The staff is the best part, the front desk were always friendly and a special shout out to Destiny, Corey and the gentleman with long hair, they were great. I left something in the room after my first stay and they held it for me for a month (they offered to ship it to me too!) The man who helped with that was so kind and helpful. Superb in every way. The gym and yoga room are also great. I stayed on the side away from the laundromat and loved the beautiful big oak tree outside the window. While it isn't super walkable, it's close enough to downtown and all the sights. Highly recommend and I'll be back!

Came here for Sunday Funday vibes, coffee house/chill bar vibe in the back and experience was 10/10. We got a Bloody Mary and espresso martini, but you gotta try the Down to Kokomo, strawberry lemonade drink that absolutely slapped. Bartender Gabby knew what was up! Hell yeah, go check her out
