Gillis Neighborhood Park

Super chill lady back. Perfect for a first date or a cheering up a bestie Old arcades, pool, foos. Drink are cheap and there’s a huge selection of beers etc. bathrooms r a trip.

Here in Austin downtown we have Lake lady Bird there is a hiking trail as well as a boardwalk for miles . So myself and Fancy my puppy walked from S First st.yo Zilker park at Barton Springs. Im my pics you will see people dressed in shark costumes. They were handing out hand sanitizer and dancing around . Of course wearing mask . FYI. Its Shark germ Co. Afterward we walked to Barton creekup to the spillway. Fancy loved the water always a teal color tubing , kayaking ,canoes . Be earned there are usually some ladies without tops ,but that's just Austin . IAlso Tuesday.nights 7 pm and Sunday nights at Barton creek is The Drum Circle, many musicians ,drummers mostly the jimbae drum. Sit and play for you Free dancing and drink of course BYOB. I never want tl live anywhere but here . Oh and Florida.Have a blessed day.

Excellent small park perfect for me and my GBaby

All I can say is it it's a great Park I lived in it for two to three years homeless but I take my grandkids there and they love it they love the playground and they like to walk around take your family there try it out you'll love it

Was born and raised in the78704area.Remember as a kid me and my bro going trick n treating over at Charles Whitman's house.Won the Pepsi hotshot contest at Gillis.Hit my first home run over the center lights there too.Gillis park used to be layed back now we have these young knuckleheads trying to lay claim to the park not knowing what they're even fighting for or any of the history that Gillis is known for.Its like a gem hidden away.Lets keep it on the down low and let it be known as a place for comfort and peace and a safe environment for everyone.God bless

Really nice eyes Park with lots of things to do, my favorite is a creek

This is a lovely experience in the beauty of childhood expression. This park offers all children and families of all sorts a serene and brightening opportunity to reflect and relax among the evolution in our ever growing society. Plenty of room for running, jumping, laughing, and playing for everyone. Dog and American friendly, it's Mom tested and kid approved.

The playscapes here are awesome! Nice trail and space for kids to run around. Bathrooms had a lot of people camped out there when we visited, but all seemed friendly.

Nice semi-shaded park, perfect for 3-10 yr olds. Decent sized parking lot and full baseball diamond. Pool wasn't open on Sunday, but looks to be just a little smaller than Garrison Park Pool.

Lively little park with a couple baseball fields, basketball court, kiddie playground, walking path that surrounds the park, and a nearby public pool. Well kept park, clean, & good lighting at night.

Large parking lot considering the small size of this park.

Need to get your kiddo off the local media and tv? Bring em to the park, here the tree canopy is vast, located near big Stacy public pool, an inventive parent can turn the combination of park and pool into a relatively inexpensive day of pure enjoyment that electronics just can't give! I sit with my lady as her daughter has the park to herself, living the dream!

04 Neighborhood park!! I Grow up there

Great new spot...parking is rough! I suggest a ride share to get here, but once you're in the place was very fun, pickle ball courts are a cool idea...taco truck was decent...had pastor and lamb barabacoa both tasty.

Perfect place for the hoopers. There is some concerns with one side because the tree has some over hang but it doesn’t matter if your winning. There’s even a light for night ball. I wish more people knew about this place.

It's a good park to take the kids out and your little miss.

Peaceful place to play and participate in group activities. Adult friendly playground and volley ball nets.

I'm working out here to hopefully set a World Record 😸
