Big Stacy Neighborhood Park

We love walking through this and Little Stacy Park. Trails winding through beautiful trees and scenery. There is even a really well maintained restroom and a pool for the public to enjoy. Highly recommended.

A great place to get a shower if your options are limited. The surrounding neighborhood is quite affluent. To their credit the patrons of Stacy Pool (who are mostly Travis Heights residents) are very tolerant of the constant stream of homeless folks lining up for the showers.

This is a great swimming pool for the public. There are always life guards in duty, and security is present but unseen except at the main entrance, and that's to wave a friendly hand "hello" and to greet people.

There is no trouble here. I myself will come to wade in the pool. Do a few laps either sharing or solo, take a shower and then help clean a bit of the rare pieces of trash that make their way into the wooded part.

Dogs aren't a problem. No loud noise, or radios. No riff-raff.

There is a great history to this pool. Built by the WPA, and maintained since then, lots of people frequent it to just have a serene time in the water.

If you visit, just respect the rules. You are an example to the youth there, and it goes without saying, respect the generosity that is provided for being a free pool.

I wish you say thanks to the staff. They are ever vigilant in making this recreational pool a very nice place for the visitors!

Wonderful personnel. Very welcoming to all; the pool is always around 80 degrees and they provide showers to rinse off after a swim to a full shower for those less fortunate, as I was for over a year. This park and pool is a blessing and very much appreciated by all!

Calm, quiet public pool with lap lanes and a small free swimming area. Admission is free. There are restrooms and showers available. The lifeguards are all very nice: I brought my 18 month old daughter here to get in a little more swim time after a rather short lesson. She was a little overwhelmed by the newness of the experience (she had never even seen a lifeguard or a lifeguard chair before) and they took the time to come over and strike up casual conversation with us both before we got in and then while we were in the pool. They even offered to loan me a floaty for her to use while we were there.

Great pool, great location, open year round. I've heard it's actually heated in the winter. Not sure if that's true or not still but I've been going there for 20 something years lol. Now I get to take my son there!

Plenty of room for all ages. 2 lap lanes. Open year 'round. No fees. At least 2 lifeguards on duty at all times.

Great environment, safe , clean and friendly. They've got showers as well as plenty of restrooms which are always clean. Staff is very aware of surroundings, the people who enter as well making sure the gate stays shut. Love this place.

The best part of this pool is it's completely FREE! I love to take advantage of the designated lap swimming times during the week and I wish this place opened slightly earlier on weekends before it gets too hot out. The water is well maintained and almost always is warm so even on a cool morning, you can go here!

Pool is great for the summer it's free and there's a trail and park next to it. Really cold water for this heat recommend.

Great pool, which surprisingly was free that day. Got to take a quick half mile bike ride on the greenbelt to have a picnic at Little Stacy Park, then come back. Pool seemed clean, people were friendly, it was a good day.

A great pool with plenty of swimming lanes and showers. I'd recommend using the old showers instead of the new ones- they're not ventilated well and they're so hot you're drenched in sweat by the time you can dry off and get dressed. The life guards are very friendly too!

I really enjoy going to Big Stacy on a regular weekly basis simply because the people are nice and the pool is kept up daily. It is free to those in the neighborhood and not to mention the pool is heated and open year-round. Great for family's with kids and fabulous for those who enjoy doing laps.

Super clean,very nice people all around pet friendly love it.

Besides the guard who was either grouchy or direct, you decide, this park offers what you need.

I love the shower. The pool invites swimmers. The greenery invites the rest of us.

Shhh, don't tell people it's heated
