Absolutely floored by the customer service here. The sales girl spent 15-20 min with me trying on different shoes and sizes, and literally found me the most perfect pair of running shoes I’ve ever had. I normally buy size 8’s but she helped me realize I should be buying 8.5 wide with a custom insole.

I loved every day of wearing these shoes but due to a defect in the model, the back heel pad ended up wearing out after only 2 months, at which time they gave me almost a free replacement to a newer model. They were so nice about it too

I came here desperately seeking new athletic shoes. I was greeted by Johnathan, and explained the issues I have with my high arches. He introduced me to Brooks shoes, a good option for my feet. He inquired as to color preferences and brought me out two styles. We had a great conversation about the advantages of each and I made a decision. I was in and out in 20 minutes with a perfectly fitting, arch supporting, pair of shoes. (Plus, they were on sale!) It was a great experience!

There’s a new store off Anderson and Lamar. Very nice and lots of great choices. I’m hard to fit but found a really nice pair of shoes that are stylish. A big NO to Maryjanes. I’m not 4 and while some people like them I think they’re dorky as all get out. I’ll definitely shop there again!

Great experience. Miguel was my salesperson and they have superpowers in customer service! There was nothing like it. There was complete focus on me and great effort in getting it right and I had a very certain need but that all was no match for Miguel. Miguel is amazing. I hope you're lucky enough to get Miguel when YOU go. Great selection, too!! Also, I really appreciate that Miguel didn't try to sell me on everything, just asked me what I wanted/needed and made it happen. I felt like a million bucks. Thanks!! (Sorry for making you the center of attention, Miguel, but you are really that good. I hope you get a raise!!)

RJ is FANTASTIC at saving shoes (& belts ;-) ). I have had arthritic MTP (big-toe) joints for 20 years, and must wear unbending Dansko-type clogs & sandals. These shoes (which Karavel sells) remain in great condition, but their top leather is stretching a bit over the decades, allowing my feet to move too much on longer treks, which is bad for joint health. He thoughtfully glued in special pieces of rubber on the upper portions (hidden), so I can continue wearing 6 pairs of shoes (& 2 leather belts). Just $10 each to keep me going, without waste that this planet doesn't need.
RJ also is extremely patient, understanding, and kind. We're so fortunate to have him, and I hope he's training others at Karavel to continue this kind of Magic. RJ's special skills set Karavel apart from all its Austin peers.

Had an awesome experience at Karavel. Was looking for a pair of Blundstones boots for a couple months time in a colder city. Garrett immediately guided me through some options and was actually wearing a pair of Blundstones himself so answered all the questions I had about long term wear and versatility. Incredibly professional, friendly, and such a great interaction.

Love getting the chance to try out in person vs online before I drop cash on pricier shoes or boots. Would definitely recommend coming here, they have a great selection and can walk through so many options.

Good selection and excellent service. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Great of you have someone who is hard to fit. They do carry different widths. Wide selection for men and women. Latest trip was an emergency stop on the way to the airport to get my wife casual run around shoes for vacation. Word of caution, they do get quite busy on the weekends. Plan ahead.

I was helped by Elisha and she was very knowledgeable. I have not been able to find standard width shoes with a wide enough toe box. She took a look at my feet and immediately found a pair of athletic shoes that were designed for my foot shape. So happy to have shoes that fit after many years of pinched toes.

What an amazing experience buying here. Not only great prices but when Joe came to help me. He was amazing. There were these shoes I liked but were a bit big, he found me a flat sole and some sort of tongue addition to make the show fit perfectly. I’ve never seen that before in any shoe store before. That’s the level of attention that can only be found at a place like this where employees are passionate. Shout out to Joe I bought 2 pairs thanks to him.

Always a great experience at Karavel. But today was especially nice because we had Mario assisting us and he was wonderful. I take individuals with special needs to Karavel all of the time and he took the time to ensure we got everything we needed.

I went to Karavel Shoes today not knowing what to expect. It was quite busy so I put down my name on a list to be helped (I love this system) while I perused the shoes. They have a very extensive selection of stylish AND comfy shoes. Scott helped me and he provided excellent customer service. He was a great listener and suggested shoes in line with my preferences. He measured my feet before making any recommendations. I did not feel pressured to purchase anything. I ended up walking out with 2 pairs of shoes and a purse. I'm visiting from out of town so I won't be able to come back any time soon which I am bummed about. I did learn that I can order online so I might do that. Happy shopping!

Such EXCELLENT service! Yes, the shoes are pricey, but anyone who is on their feet all day will tell you good shoes are worth any price. Their products made a world of difference for me, and shopping for what I needed was so easy! Miguel helped me find good brands for my needs, and even helped me later exchange a pair that didn’t work out. All seamlessly, even with a lost receipt. I am so over the moon about my new shoes!!

Was referred a brand of shoes I had never heard of. Hoka. These are absolutely the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. At the register I asked about a pair of white shoelaces. Garrett, my salesman, went in the back and gave me a pair for free. All around great experience. Will definitely shop here again

I had an absolutely wonderful experience here today. I have never been to Karavel Shoes and came in to look for 1 specific shoe someone recommended to me.

When I arrived I was greeted and told to sign in, within a minute someone was offering to help me. When I told him what I was looking for he took me straight to the shoe and got the appropriate size. I ended up not liking the way it fit and the sales person simply asked "would you like me to help you find something that works?" I said yes and he took my foot measurements being extra gentle as I had a sprained ankle and made sure to ask what I was looking for. Then he disappeared to the back and came back with 5 shoe boxes. He untied each shoe and helped me put them on and explained a little about what made that shoe different than the last but it never felt "sales-y" or pushy. When I explained any issues I had with the shoe (like too much pressure on my arch etc) he agreed and explained why. In the end he found a shoe for me that felt great and brought out all of the color options for me to choose from.

I am flat footed and have large/wide feet for a woman so often I feel judged when shopping for shoes or I am simply unable to find shoes that work for me. I have never had such a wonderful experience buying shoes and will definitely be returning.
