I 100% recommend that you take your Range Rover here if you drive one... Nichole is the bomb. She is super knowledgeable, super professional, very timely, and I will never go to another mechanic again. Raving Fan!! (Now can you fix my Scout IH?)

The folks at Sayther automotive have been taking care of my beamers since 2010. They always treat me fairly, explain my repair issues and options, and stand by their work. Including keeping my classic 1999 528i street legal!

Took in my 2015 Range rover sport. Nichole was awesome, the whole staff itself very communicative , and polite. Loved that they gave me options on what was the most important things that need to be fixed. Price was very competitive, and work was done in a timely manner. Can't say enough about this place, just good honest people and that's hard to find now a days. Wil be my go to place for any future maintenance or repairs. Thanks again Nicole and the rest of the staff.

Duncan and the Terry Sayther team took great care of my car! They addressed all of my concerns and then some. Their tenacity and problem solving skills help me save $2,200.00 on a part that the dealer, if I had gone to them, would have made me buy from them. They are truly Jaguar and Land Rover specialist.

Terry Sayther Automotive is excellent!! The owner Duncan and his staff are so kind and helpful. I now drive a different vehicle that they do not service since they're specific to BMW- but if I did not they would have my business for life! They're also very fair with their pricing, you cannot find a better auto shop for your BMW in Austin, TX.

I recently brought my BMW to Terry Sayther and had a wonderful experience working with them. They were easy to get ahold of, turned around a quote for the requested work in a timely manner, and were able to get me on the schedule quickly. They did a full inspection of my X5 and provided a detailed report, which I very much appreciated. In fact, they were more thorough than the BMW services department (who inspected my car just a week before that) and were very transparent and honest about what was and was not needed based on my goals with the car. The amount of care and time they put into working with me was refreshing (compared to my experience with others) and it was very apparent that they had my best interest at heart. I have only great things to say about this team and highly highly recommend them.

I am beyond thankful for having such an amazing repair shop to rely on for all of my BMW and Mercedes needs. Nichole and Rhett are a pleasure to work with and are incredibly honest and forthright in the way that they do business.

I just dropped off my 2012 BMW 550i for a major set of repairs on a car that was running quite rough. The team at Terry Sayther charged a fraction of what the BMW dealership was trying to charge me, and did an absolutely FANTASTIC job on the repair. These guys have more experience working on BMWs than either of the two BMW dealerships in Austin and I’ve found their workmanship to be better than the dealership.

I’m one of those extremely annoying and demanding perfectionists, and I couldn’t be happier with the work they did. My car now runs just as smoothly as it did when I bought it new 12 years ago.

Thank you Nichole and team for doing such a great job while charging extremely reasonable prices. I look forward to servicing my vehicles with you for many years to come!

If you have a BMW take it to this shop. It’s definitely worth the drive wherever you are in town. They do great work. Nicole and Rhett are super helpful. I’ve been a customer for over a decade and they always take care of everything. My car was even sparkling clean from a fresh wash this time 🤩

Excellent overall experience! I had a pre-purchase inspection done on a 2010 BMW X5.. They were very thorough in the inspection, Rhett was great at explaining their findings, knowledgeable of the vehicle and the inspection itself was very fairly priced. My experience was great & I would recommend this repair shop esp for the BMW enthusiast.

Very happy with the results on my Jaguar F-Type repairs. The car had a disconcerting creak in the front suspension and I was expecting a very pricey repair. Turns out it was loose bolts and I only paid for a bit of labor needed to figure that out and tighten everything back up. A less honest shop could have easily inflated the repair cost.

A 2nd problem with the car's tire pressure monitoring system was also fixed but after paying the invoice I felt parts had been replaced to the tune of $900 that probably hadn't needed replacing. After I asked about it the service manager readily agreed and refunded the entire amount. Again, an incredible display of honesty!

This was my first visit and they not only did great work they also proved themselves to be highly trustworthy. I'm a devoted new customer!

Great place! It's one of the best places to get work done. It saves me a lot of time and frustration. What would be a 2-day project turns into 1. The staff is great and helpful. I hope I don't have to see my car in the shop again, but if it comes down to it, I will be back.😂

Brought my Land Rover in for regular service. The diagnostic was very thorough and while I spent more money than I was expecting, I feel confident it was done right. Rhett was great. Would recommend.

Nicole listened attentively as I explained my predicament. Driving across the United States and headed into central Mexico needing to be sure my car is in the best shape, so I’m not left stranded as a solo female driver. I recently left a violent marriage and have everything I own in my vehicle, and this business kept my vehicle secure overnight, made the necessary repairs, and wished me safe travels.

I asked members of the Austin Mini Cooper Club for a service referral for my 2011 Countryman. I was happy to learn that I would not have to drive to the n north of Austin and visit a neighborhood shop. Terry Sayther Automotive staff in particular Nichole worked with me on a smell issue coming from the vent (car had been garaged for 2 years.) While speaking with her, her co-worker checked the oil.
I scheduled an appointment for an oil change thinking it was needed. They were up front when they learned it wasn't due for another 2400 miles. I'm glad to trust my business to an outfit that is courteous, prompt, professional and doesn't price-gouge its customers. That is now my go-to place and sharing with other Mini Cooper owners. Thanks Nichole and team!

Been going here for years; Most recently needed to bring my 09 335i in for a limp mode light that came on suddenly and had a trip planned to Dallas by end of the week.

They were able to diagnose the issue as well as bring to my attention another critical issue i was unaware of that potentially could have left me stranded.

They aren't pushy about getting you to agree to all the items they've brought to your attention.

Their workflow process is streamlined, paperless/well documented reports that are texted directly to you, and clearly communicated via their knowledgeable staff.

Kudos to Rhett, Nichole, and Duncan and team!

Great customer service and work. They kept me in the loop as issues arose and were clear about all needed (time sensitive) and optional (you’re going to need this but it can wait) work. Polite, friendly and got the job done. Highly recommended for MINI work.

Taken my car here a few times. They are responsive, swift and honest. I really appreciated Nichole taking the time to thoroughly explain things to me and help me make a decision on vehicle repairs. I have taken my car to 3 other places in town for various work but this has been the best experience, highly recommend.

I had an exceptional first service experience at Terry Sayther Automotive. It was truly refreshing to find such a dependable and honest automotive shop. I am confident that I will return to them for future services without hesitation. Rhett Hubertus was super helpful.

I’d known about Terry’s shop for a while having lived in Austin since 1998, everyone I know who has a German or luxury car swears by him. I’d never owned a German nor luxury car until now so had not considered going. The internal conflict over whether or not to go to the dealership is quite a struggle especially with BMWs.. Do I risk going to an under-qualified mechanic that claims to be capable and spend markedly less? Do I risk having to pay for multiple repairs to address one simple problem due to lack of qualification? Or do I go to the dealership where I know the problem will be fixed but the cost will be extremely inflated? A lot of the technology in BMWs is electronic and proprietary in both the knowledge and the tools required to fix the cars. My buddy just paid $700 just to have a sensor in the roof fin replaced. Without a warranty , it seems you’re looking at close to 1k no matter what the problem is. Anyway; after having done just that and a myriad of failed DIY attempts to troubleshoot the issue, I remembered Terry and kicked myself for having not thought of it sooner.

They were slammed with customers but having had my car towed to them they actually ended up repairing it a full day before my actual appointment time came to pass. They got it on Monday and I got it back on Wednesday. The only other recommended shops in town quoted me weeks out for a completion time stating that even the dealerships are backed up 6 weeks. I couldn’t wait that long—Ubers were killing my wallet and I was set to move residences at the beginning of April. Plus Austin is not navigable without a car, our pathetic lack of efficient or far reaching public transport make the city council and car dealerships appear to be bedfellows.

In the end I paid $1100 for diagnostics, replacement of my twice over new Costco battery (which the warranty matters not when the product is inferior to that degree), new starter and labor. It’s still a lot of money but not nearly what the dealership charges and I can feel confident it’s done correctly since Terry’s shop has all the same certifications and qualifications as any BMW dealership. Plus not being an actual dealership shop means they can repair creatively divergent from what protocols may be in place to cause the dealerships elevated invoices. I’m happy about it and I will be going there exclusively. They are honest, educated, ethical and efficient. Thanks Terry!
