I love walking into Marigold - a sensory explosion of color and touch - the beauty of the clothing and fabrics. I wish the store was my closet. There is so much there I would like to have. And I had a really nice conversation with the owner, Lata. Looking forward to my next visit.

A lovely shop with a wonderful owner. Lata helped me pick out the perfect outfit for Garba night at a great price. She's incredibly informative and helpful. I highly recommend this place!

An amazing selection of beautiful and interesting imported items from India! The owner, Lata, is a lovely person who helps you find just what you need. I found a beautiful cotton robe and a long patterned skirt that I treasure! It feels very homey and inviting in the store... more like Old Austin! Prices are great, too... highly recommend!

This looks great! I’m looking on Google Maps now at this place. I was recommended to go by my Teacher from Wimberley. I’m looking for Dastaar. I Love close to San Antonio, and am having trouble finding long enough Dastaar material for a proper wrap. I am hoping, perhaps, to find it here.

I visited Lata at her store, and am very grateful for her care in helping my choose my two Dastaar. Very good prices in this store! I also bought my first kurta and love wearing it to the Gurudwara on Sundays. Today she is looking for more Dastaar in more colors for me :-). Thank you Lata!

My husband and I needed outfits for a desi wedding. The owner was very responsive, informative, and helpful. We love what we bough and appreciate how easy the shopping experience was! It was also well worth the drive from San Antonio!

What an incredible shop with an incredible owner! I first came in to buy a sari for a wedding in India. I was taken care of and found a beautiful outfit! The owner even altered it to make it the perfect fit. Now I stop by often, to visit and to shop around. It has become a very special place to me. I LOVE this store. Definitely worth a trip down South Lamar.

Such a lovely shop and owner. From the bracelet worn daily to the hanging elephants in several rooms, along with scarf adorning the entertainment center, our home is filled with trinkets from Marigold. Supporting a woman owned business and such a kind person? Gladly. Thank you, Lata! Namaste.

This is a cultural gem in Austin! Basically the only place in the city to get good, authentic Indian clothes and other items. Lata Aunty was so sweet! She helped me pick out a sari to match my blouse and even put it on me when I told her I’m not very good at wrapping it myself. Reasonable prices, reliable quality, and an amazing owner make this a store I will visit again. I highly recommend you stop by! You never know what you could find :)

What a wonderful shop! There is plenty of parking around the side and even more local businesses to explore. I found my favorite purchases on visits when I really had time to look around. There are so many treasures and the collection of saris are just beautiful. I also appreciate how the owner, Lata, shares her knowledge of Indian culture and dress.

Visiting Lata's store is like stepping into an artistically decorate living room or gallery. It's vibrant, warm, and beautiful. Lata's casually friendly vibe makes shopping at Marigold more like a social visit. Her selections are spot-on, and prices are very reasonable. I LOVE Marigold Gateway to India!

If you haven't ever been, you'll love the vibe at Marigold's! It was my favorite store years before I started doing readings there! Marigold's is full of fabulous clothes, tapestries, jewelry, furniture and home accessories all imported from India! Y

I'm leaving for Indian in three days for a wedding. I was first under the impression I would buy my Sari in India and now found out I need it beforehand. A friend google searched and sent me Marigolds information. I went in, informed the lady what I needed. A sari for a wedding in Kerela. She took me to the shelves told me to pick something from 4 of 6 batches. I did. She helped me match a top and picked out the slip for me. I tried on the slip and the shirt. I came out so she could wrap me. I didn't do the slip right so she re did it for me. Explaining everything step-by-step. I apologized for not knowing and she comforted me by saying I am not expected to know. She was so patient, helpful and kind. Offered her opinion. Told me what she recommended and what to avoid. After I chose my clothing she informed me about the jewelry and helped me pick out a few things. She told me what I could get done cheaper in India and what was best to get here. I told a friend to visit too since we are going to the same wedding. My friend got there 30 minutes before closing. Asked me to meet her. Asked the lady if it was okay that I would be there 15 minutes later. My friend tried on two sari's and a ton of tops. The lady still patient, explained everything, offered her opinion, gave advice. We were there well after the desired closing time on a "holiday". I didn't feel rushed at all. I greatly appreciate her kindness, advice and patience. I don't know what I would have done. I also appreciate that it was a one-stop-shop. There were shoes and other attire and accessories too. Reasonably priced, and shop local. Exactly what Austin looks for.

A wonderful treasure in the heart of Austin. Beautiful selection of clothes, home accessories and Indian shoes (juttis). I was quite happy to find long cotton printed skirts as well. The owner is very dedicated and helpful and has a meticulous eye for details. A great discovery .

I had a great experience at this shop. Not knowing what to buy as a non-Indian traveling to India for a wedding, we were given helpful advice as to what would be appropriate and what to avoid purchasing. There was a nice selection of options and sizes and our items seemed reasonably priced.

Today I spent another lovely hour at Marigold, showing my sisters my favorite shop and visiting with Lata. No, I didn't buy today, but most of my blouses came from Marigold. There is nothing like Indian cotton for our Texas climate. My sister did buy a beautiful top. For me, Marigold is a pleasant oasis in this growing and crowded city. Thanks, Lata.

I went to Marigold and had a wonderful time. I was the only customer in the store at the time. The owner was awesome. She explained the items and how to ware them. I put my purse down, took off my shoes. And just made myself at home. Will diffinitely be back and have been telling others. Everyone loved my look, as promised. See photos.
