Drowsy Poet @The Foley Station

Super cute coffee shop from an old Fuel station. Food was prepped, you choose from the cooler & they will heat it up. Coffee was creative & classy. They even have a kid menu for drinks. They have egg begal sandwiches and quiches for hot food as well as scones, muffins and begals.

This is a MUST GO stop in the Gulf Shores area. We were visiting for the first time on vacation and stopped by to look through our stash of books we purchased at the used bookstore around the corner from the coffee shop.
The atmosphere is amazing! It is in an old time filling station and the decorations take every advantage of highlighting this theme so creatively.
The staff were excellent and the coffee and food items we got were delightful.
The only drawback was that it was a scorchingly hot day and there was just an industrial fan on the floor--no AC. It worked with the decor and vibe, bit not for comfort!
I would still visit this coffee shop if they lit a fire in the middle of July!

We got a Lavender Iced Coffee and a Pineapple Delight Smoothie. It was fairly priced and exceptionally good! The coffee had a great balance of sweet and espresso taste. Best coffee in The Gulf so far!!

I am stopping by the Drowsy Poet coffee shop on my way to my listing appointment! It is a very nice and unique place in Downtown Foley. You can have various pastry, variety of coffee drinks, etc. Customer service is great. All the employees are pleasant and helpful.
There were a lot of people watching young lady performing outside.
I will recommend Drowsy Poet@Foley Station!

Cool spot! Drowsy Poet is a quaint coffee shop located in Foley, which is about 20 minutes north of Gulf Shores. I stopped here for about 30 minutes before driving back to Texas in order to enjoy some quite reading and a hot coffee. The inside is spacious, with two different rooms filled with chairs and tables. There is also an outside patio, if you're into stuff like that. The black coffee wasn't anything mind-blowing, but they seemed to have a lot of different different flavored lattes that looked good. The staff was also really kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend if you're in town!

We loved this literature inspired coffee shop! You enter into a little seating area, with really unique antique designs. Then the coffee shop itself is through the next entryway. There is food that you can take to go, super friendly and helpful baristas. An outside seating area, and a clean unique atmosphere. The coffee is delicious too! ♥

Cool beans...as in a cool place to go!!! My new go-to coffee shop and take-everyone-I-know there!!! Quiche was amazing...
Bulletproof coffee was amazing... cinnamon rolls were...you guessed it...AMAZING...😻

Amazing coffee! They have non-dairy options so to my fellow lactose-intolerant buddies, you're safe! Baristas were very friendly and helped me navigate through their unique menu items. I tried something new at their recommendation! The atmosphere in the building was beautiful and I could have sat there for literal hours. Plenty of seating inside and outside, a nice natural setting with plenty of aesthetic and natural lighting. Tons of photo-ops and very personalized to the community around it. Would go again!! Definitely!!

loved the whole vibe of this place! got their sassy strawberry iced tea, but without any sweeteners and it had a fresh taste to it. became a fan of all their little decors. sat down for about 3 hours getting school done and i feel like i could be back again.

This is a great coffee shop to visit. The staff was extremely friendly, patient, and helpful as we decided what we were going to get. Love the fact that they used an old gas station as the building, it was very modern. The coffee was really good and the smoothies were very tasty. Will be visiting this place everytime we come to town.

Best little coffee shop !! You could tell it was going to be a pretty freakin awesome place considering how long the line was. Love, love, love the decor and atmosphere!!! Old car shop converted over and they kept some of the original items from the shop.loved the coffee and pretty decent prices.

Very vintage mechanic shop type atmosphere. The peanut butter mocha frozen is my personal favorite. Highly recommend

Traveling to the beach from out of town and stopped at this gem of a coffee shop. Although it looks quaint from the outside there’s actually of lot of seating inside with a generous front porch as well. Tons of drinks like espressos, smoothies, “poetchinos” and tons more. Employees were super kind and I would be more than happy to return to the drowsy poet.

I love Drowsy Poet Coffee and this location is by far the best I've visited. Its inside an old fire station and the way it's decorated gives a shoutout to it's history. It's got a very cool industrial vibe. It's a great place to hang for a few hours and chat or bring a laptop and get some work done. Their nitro brew is amazing and they give you espresso cubes to keep the coffee tasting good as the ice melts. The people working here are always nice as well.

This place is so cool! Such an awesome, relaxed atmosphere. There were couches, easy chairs and an internet/ computer station. My daughter and I both got Poetchinos...soooo good! There was a wiley t-rex that tried to drink them but alas... he couldn't reach...sorry Rex...I guess I'l have to drink it myself!

Atmosphere is unique & inviting.

The staff were amazing and friendly. I noticed one of the other customers complaining about their attire, but they didn't seem to keep an open mind that they are working in 90° heat! Beside the rude customer, I had a great experience and wanted to say good job to the employees for working well under pressure.

I loved the Aloha iced latte with coconut milk and macadamia nut! Incredible flavor, Awesome staff and very comfy environment. The first thing I noticed was the dog water bowl outside of the coffee shop! I love pet friendly places so much 💞 we need more of that in the world
