Beautiful waterfall!! Kind of difficult to find if you don’t know where you are going!! Follow your google maps veer left on the first fork in the road! You’ll find an old oil pump machine on your right side of the road. Keep going until you reach the second fork veer right and the beginning of the trail will be on your left you can’t miss it.

Awesome location. Little confusing once u get to the water fall of where u go. Fact: Once u get to the top of the fall u have to go to the right over the water to go down….. not an easy climb down or up so be prepared. Beautiful falls though. Note snakes have already started coming out on may 13. The light the rocks near the big gallon tree.

Nice two mile out and back with a moderate altitude change.
Easy hike up a gravel road then a short hike downhill to the top of the falls.
There are trails to the base but we didn’t go because the rocks were slippery.
Well worth the hike since there are good spots to see birds and we also saw Trout Lilles blooming in February.

What a beautiful place! Located within a WMA, you'll need hunting licenses to see this stunner. Just a shame that people ruin such beautiful places with spray paint.
There's another fall just up the trail from this one that is equal in size and beauty but does not land in a nice swimming hole like this one. The trail down is extremely washed out which makes this a strenuous climb out.

First of all, pay attention to the photo I have of the entrance. Otherwise you might miss it. When you start the trail, follow the main road and the signage as well. The gravel road will lead to a trail. You will first crossover a small creek and then you’ll be right above the waterfall. Move up a bit from that cross over because otherwise it’s quite slippery. And then you will want to follow a trail that goes up and away from the waterfall. If you do that there’s actually a bit of a ravine that is easy to traverse and to go down to the bottom of it. Like most of the reviews said you really need to go to the bottom to appreciate it it is a very pretty combination of a cavern/waterfall

Really great trail to go on a quick lil hike the trail does have quite a few unmarked forks which can make getting to the falls a little difficult. We made it there without having to double back following directions from another review. The trail was 2.2 miles total, which includes going down Into the falls area. The parking is a little tight so I'd just park along the road.

Great find! Very nondescript entrance (literally a gravel space on the side of the road)! The Waze app got me there. Ignore the active hunter sign. I was assured by the man exiting the trail that no shots were being fired! It was a bit further than I expected, but thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

What a beautiful hike. The hike to the top of the falls is not bad at all. You follow a service road for a while and then get on a trail. The are is a WMA and there are gas derricks scattered around.
Once you get to the falls you are next to the flow and on top of the falls. To get tot he bottom is more intermediate than beginner, but doable by any able bodied person.
If you follow the trail under the falls and around the ridge for about .25 miles you will find a smaller falls.

Beautiful hidden gem 2mi I&O! The hike to the bottom is short, but steep and not well traveled. The top is easy to access just be careful if walking to the edge! PLEASE LEAVE NOTHING BUT FOOTPRINTS!! DO NOT LITTER OR GRAFFITI NATURES BEAUTY!

We've had this one on our Radar for some time now. We finally decided to see it as we were up that way and it was in our path the way back. It's a little hike and if you know where you're going it's a breeze. It's not a long hike just kinda hidden and you could get turned around. Once to the falls which it takes you to the top it's breathtaking. To get down is a little tricky, don't go to the left over the stream go to the right and shimmy down the mountain. Trust me it's worth it. It just happen to be frozen when we went. It's beautiful

Apparently the land sold to new owners and they no longer way anyone out there! We went to check it out and was met by a sheriff on our way out letting us know it’s private property and to let the word out they no longer want visitors there! Sad because it was absolutely beautiful at the falls and seeing the inside of the cave! Makes sense why all the arrows showing you the way to the falls were all broken and had to just figure it out by the way the sign was stapled on the pole with a left right left 😉

This is a beautiful place! Easy hike to the falls, but a little more treacherous if you want to get to the bottom. We had our dog with us, so we didn't venture down the trail, since it was very narrow, rocky and slippery. The views at the top of the falls were still very pretty! We will definitely be back!

Easy walk to the Falls, but it was difficult getting to the bottom. You have to go to the bottom of the Falls to see how beautiful it is! A must see and do!

Definitely worth the short hike to the falls. Little tough to get to the bottom but not too bad.

One of the most beautiful places in the state. Follow the signs down the service road to the trail, bout a 10 minute walk to the waterfall. Getting to the bottom is a good bit harder, but when you do the view is great and there's very nice trails along the creeks, plus another waterfall nearby. Watch for poison ivy!

This is one of Birmingham’s best kept secrets. If you go after some rain the falls are beautiful. There is another smaller but still pretty waterfall at the bottom of the creek past the main one

Parking situation: park on the roadside. The falls are worth the hike after a rain. It's 1.8 mi.

Easy trail to follow. Extremely difficult to get to bottom of falls because the way down is really steep.

Beautiful hidden gem within the Montevallo area. If you've not visited here I would recommend doing so.
