One of the best railroad museum I have visited, nice informative displays, a very large O scale train display and a kiddie train ride on Saturdays. Well worth a visit. A few full size train cars as well.

It’s not the most fun place for kids but it’s free and it’s a nice time filler in between other activities. You can climb aboard a real full size train to see the inside and there’s a train ride on a small train (like the kind you see at community festivals or kids parties) on certain days and a small wooden train for kids to play on. Also the Foley Park is right behind it and it’s so nice. We had more fun in the park than the train museum. Overall I give them 5 stars because it’s free and educational and the location is nice since it’s located in Foley Park.

Well worth the hr drive from Pensacola. They have a lovely playground train for the kiddos that is super fun. A really well restored caboose you can go in and touch everything. As well as 2 box cars.

There is diesel engine you can take a look at. That poor thing needs some new glass windows, some one has been unkind and broken them. BUT there is a nice platform you can walk up on to see the insides.

They also have a cool looking model train area but it's only open Tues, Thur, and Sat so we will have to come back later.

The museum itself is small but really well put together. It's all in the old depot. There is also accessible bathrooms when the museum is open.

Definitely a good free place to stop, stretch your legs, and take in some cool train stuff.

Awesome for little kids. Our group had kids between 2-6 and they all loved it. The train ride (12 minutes) was fabulous. There's a little kid train you can climb on that was a hit as well. We walked in/around the big train cars too. We spent about 20 minutes admiring the model trains, which were even interesting for adults. They've got a scavenger hunt (kid and adult versions) for you to find things in the model train set up. We had a picnic in the park and looked at the little Christmas village that's set up near the big Christmas tree in the park. There's a museum space also that features the history of the Foley train station and history of the town. We spent about 1.5-2 hours there and it was perfect.

A warm and welcoming experience. Information for adults and children. It's not overwhelming. The staff were beyond friendly, they enjoyed that they were there and that you were there with them. The model train exhibit was fulfilled for the children and impressive for the adults.

Awesome! The model trains have an impressive level of detail, the more you look the more scenes you notice. Definitely check the model trains hours, and go when they're running. Absolutely spectacular free experience, you can feel the love and care.

Kids love the train museum, and train rides on Saturdays. If you want to make the train, make sure you're there on Saturday between 10 and 2. Last train ride is at around 1:45. Everything is free.

Great family experience, especially if you're on a tight budget because its FREE to go to. The model exhibit is awsome and is ran by friendly staff who have just about an answer to every question you have. (Cool tip: ask them to turn off the lights and you can see the whole model exhibit from a night experience). They also give kids(or adults who are kids at heart) a "hobo hunt" checklist to find all sorts of cool stuff.

Definitely going back!!!

Just riding through and decided to stop. It was an amazing little adventure. You can enter the trains and there is a building set up with train tracks. The history is captivating and the workers or volunteers love to tell you anything that you would want to know. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent excursion for train-lovers of all ages.

We parked for free on Chicago St. Upon entering the museum, we were greeted by a historian who gave us a thorough background and significance of the historic building. Next, we walked through a small exhibit. The star of the show; however, was the model train exhibit. The level of detail was unbelievable! Furthermore, the exhibit was attended by several individuals who had extensive knowledge of the train exhibit. Outside, there are a few train cars to climb on.

Entry was free; donations were accepted.
The gift shop is cash/check only.

Saw the miniature trains, next time I’m doing the scavenger hunt. And there’s going to be a next time, this little museum with their knowledgeable, amazingly friendly staff is well worth the visit. You can actually explore a bit of the train they have on site as well which is quite fun. If you get the opportunity, make sure you see the miniatures they have set up it is extensive and so cool! I love how Foley loves its history.

Great little Historic Museum that is free to the public. It houses a lot of interesting Corky items. It was unfortunate that the model train part of the museum was closed. I will definitely come again to see the model trains. The Visitor Center and the park surrounding the museum are also very nice!
