Baldwin County Driver License

Building is clean, everything is well organized, and the people were helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. I've never been to such a department where things went so quickly and smoothly! I am disabled and was able to navigate with my walker around the building with room to spare. There was plenty of seating so even though they were pretty full, nobody had to stand around. I'm sure that's not always true, but they accommodated better than in my previous state offices. It got what I needed and was given info for my next steps, didn't even have to ask, she just gave me a booklet and told me what I'd have to do. I was stressed about the appointment (I'm the socially anxious type) but everyone was great and things couldn't have gone better! Someone held the door for me so I don't know if there were hands-free door buttons for accessibility, but once inside there were no barriers to my walker and outside there were access points in the curb.

I had 14 tags to renew and apply to replace a lost title, got in quickly (with an appointment) and Susan processed everything for me on just a few minutes with a smile. Excellent experience as always!

It is busy but there number system of getting people in and out is effective. I don't make an appointment and just drop in. My wait was about 25 minutes which wasn't bad.

I needed to update my license with my new address. I called and set up an appointment. Showed up on my scheduled date about 10 minutes before my appointment time. They called for those who had appointments and in we went. The process was very quick. I was in and out in about 15 minutes total from the time I went in. No problems. It really helps to set up an appointment.

Received prompt, professional, and courteous service from the staff here. My Wife and I were in and out in 20 minutes!

I got there at 8:00 a.m. so it was a really quick and easy visit! I heard horror stories about waiting for hours but getting there early sure made it fast.

Update: blonde haired lady that does drivers tests is pretty mean.
She even asked a fella that was taking the motorcycle test if he studied hard. Said he better, cause 90% of folks fail it! Ha ha ha.

Best experience I've ever had at ALEA - very streamlined. In/out and the officers on duty were so kind, personable and respectful. As far as adding the Star ID, as long as you come prepared for your appointment with all the required documents, you'll be in and out very quickly!!

I had to register my vehicle. I chose a Friday afternoon, and there were only 12-16 people waiting for either, drivers license, change of title, renewal of various stickers.
We you got to the front door of the DMV, you are met by a real smiling person; an employee asking you want is your reason for coming to DMV. My case was a vehicle registration, she immediately gave me a numbered check slip, and advised me to have a seat inside, and wait until your number is called. My number was called in 10-15 minutes. I walked to the main room, with cubes with numbers overhead, and immediately noticed a lady waving to come over to her cube. She smiled an asked how she could help me today. I said I need to register my truck; no problem she stated. I asked her name, and she responded, again with a friendly smile. Sarah she responded. She asked me for my paperwork, which I had already prepared in advance. She examined my paperwork, and smiled, an said no problem. Sarah asked some questions about insurance, title, if I had any corrections, and my new address, which I supplied.
Sarah quickly, effeciently, and promptly produced my new truck license plate( which had on the plate, Roll Tide), of course I was pleased since Alabama is my favorite football team!
I know there are many of you that have had to do this procedure when moving, however in my case, this was the easiest, the most efficient, and Sarah was the best by far, of any State DMV, I have ever had the pleasure to work with transferring License plates, and title's on my vehicles.
Sarah was an exceptional customer service representative, during the time I spent at her cube. Thank you DMV for having Sarah on your Staff! Sarah deserves a 5 ⭐ rating in my book, and review!

It's the dmv, you can't expect much. Went in to get a license renewal, without an appointment, ten minutes after they opened, at eight AM on a Wednesday. I got in and out around 45 minutes. I definitely could have been there for longer. Everyone working actually had decency and didn't just treat me like a number, which is nice, and not what I expected. Went above and beyond standard dmv

They are using protective actions against covid, and honestly it could not have been easier. The staff I interacted with were nice and friendly. It took me about 30 minutes to get my renewal.

Had about a 30-minute wait in line with some nice people. Janice was wonderful took care of my issues quickly... Everybody was very nice I just didn't get everybody's name. Thank you.

it was great I was in 1 line. my sweet ♥ heart was in the other driver's license and tags. everyone helped us and we walked out in 30 minutes

I've waited less than five minutes each time I've been here. Even if the place is packed, it seems like the line for the license renewal is minimal. I don't know why everyone else is in there, but it never seems like they're there for the driver license services. It's Alabama, so maybe it's just a nice place to sit and take advantage of the air conditioner and a coke machine.

Fast and friendly. There was a bit of confusion about where we were supposed to be, but it was resolved quickly. They take appointments. Strongly recommend setting one before going.
