Yes there were some mess ups and I lost my benefits for a short time but my case worker (prefer not to name names) is awesome and truly cares. He took care of the problems, got things back on track and called to keep me informed. I'm thankful for the benefits and the personel I have dealt with.

They are always helpful and very nice.
I've only had to apply for food stamps two times in my life and I am 52. Never had a problem.

If you need help with your food assistance case don't bother calling them. I don't know if they're truly overwhelmingly busy and can never answer the phone or what's going on but you will not be able to get answers over the phone. If you need help EMAIL them. I emailed them and was surprised to get a response almost immediately.

Simply awful. Phone interview was more than one hour late with not even an apology. No way to reach someone after submitting verification - full voicemails and NO ONE answers the phone or returns calls. Having had benefits before in other states, I know this isn't the norm. Baldwin County should be ashamed. Oh! And our case moved from pending to denied after I filed a complaint. Definitely need more training and less turn over.

Been calling and sening emails for months to try to get answers about my case benefits being delayed. Never a response. I had to drive 30minutes to see someone in office only to be told to sit in a conference room and wait for the supervisor to call as they don't so face to face meetings. I wait 15 minutes for a call for them to tell me to reapply as it's been too long now.

Waste of time and clearly they don't know what they are doing.

I’ve called, I’ve email. These people don’t answer the phone.. they’d rather help someone that don’t really need it then the ones that really do.. they need to add a option to be connected directly to our case workers..if I could give less than one star I would..

The most ridiculous place ever, what's the purpose of having a phone line if they scared to answer it. Then, they lie and tells you that they didn't receive any information you supposed to get them and knowing you put it in the drop box. Pitiful and petty!!!!! All these bad reviews and they still ain't changed.

If I could give less then a star I would staff is rude they call when they want to but don't let you miss their call I called the main office to see what was going on with my 2pm phone call and got transfered to a lady who very rudely told me that she first of all wasn't my worker and maybe my workers 130 appointment ran over and I need to call the main number lol which I DID AND GOT TRANSFERED TO HER !!! SHE WAS COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. HAD A NASTY ATTITUDE. IVE NEVER DEALT WITH A DHR OFFICE LIKE THIS ONE DEFINITELY not the business of helping the people

Nobody answers the phone at all. I’ve called numerous times, at different hours and can’t seem to get anyone on phone. Sent to a voicemail yet can’t leave any messages.

Been trying to get EBT for me and my toddler I’m 24 weeks pregnant and can’t work, they can’t even answer their phones. I put in my application on February 9th, 2022 and NO ONE has called me back or been in office at all I’ve driven up here 8 times. If anyone can help us getting groceries that would be great I don’t know what to do.

Benefits were cut off after 6 month review with no explanation. I sent in paperwork twice I even took it up there and put it in there hand and also sent in emails. No one answers the phone and most of the time voicemail is full there is no email address for the individuals that work there at least they don't post them. I have done everything in my power and still received a notice that they didn't get my paperwork after I talked to my case worker who will not call me back. I rely on this to eat I make less than 1300 a month and it all goes to bills and Dr visits they need a new staff! I guess now I will have to reapply and starve for the next 30 days because they are so slow and don't answer calls.
