Jim's

We are not from Utah, but our server made us feel at home! We went at around 9:30 am on a Saturday and got sat right away. Our food came out in a timely manner and was warm. The food you see in the picture is all my meal. All this food is under $15! I had leftovers as well. The pancakes were light and fluffy 10/10. My only complaint is that the shredded potatoes or home style potatoes were not crispy enough. If you get them ask for them well done or crispy. The orange juice does not get free refills so drink with caution. I recommend this place to anyone in the area. I give it a 4.7 stars out 5 stars.

A great all American family restaurant. I have to be honest I’ve been here twice and really liked it. But I’ve only ever had breakfast here. The food is really good and very well priced. I had the Belgium waffles and my wife had a skillet. We both really enjoyed it. The portions were big but not too big. Nice atmosphere and the service was also fantastic highly recommend if you are looking for some comfort breakfast food

When my husband and or son have medical appoints in the area of American Fork, Jim's is our favorite go to place. In fact we purposely schedule our appoints as close to lunch time as possible. Tuesdays, they have a Chicken jalapeno soup that is to die for. Clam chowder on Fridays is pretty good, too. My husband loves liver, I Can't even stand to cook it. So, he usually gets the liver and onions and says it's the best he has ever had. Salmon is my brother in laws favorite and they do it great! Big portions, done well and reasonable, too.

Stopped in for lunch while working in the area and tried the Thursday Meatloaf lunch special that comes with soup or salad and choice of dessert. Meatloaf was delicious 😋 had that classic home cooking taste. Atmosphere was cozy and Michelle’s service was fantastic. She’ll make you feel like you’re a regular on your first visit. Well worth trying if you’re seeking the classic American diner vibe.

We had the Ribeye Steak & Eggs and the Country Fried Streak and Eggs. The meals are well portioned and the price reasonable. I love their homemade bread, they give you nice big slices. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious.

I really appreciated the prices here. For a reasonable price I was able to get a very hearty breakfast. This was definitely a good way to start my day. This is a great restaurant that has a pretty cozy vibe. I would definitely recommend the breakfast food but I also need to explore the menu more.

Delicious food and great service. The host was the best. I love diner coffr and it hit the high mark. I'll try some of the Greek options next time we go.

Enjoyable, family restaurant, great food and superb service. We have been here twice, for breakfast and dinner. Both times we had great service, friendly staff, and wonderful food. We have always had large portions and the meals were delicious and tasty. Quite the comfort food offerings.

Jim's is a traditional sit down restaurant that is usually pretty busy inside. Their portions are very big and pricing is very affordable. The staff here is great, very friendly and quick on coming around to see if you need anything. Their food is delicious too, especially their breakfast menu items. Kid friendly here and larger tables are available.

Fantastic. My wife and I came for breakfast and had never been before. The waitress had many suggestions and was very helpful with our questions. I tried one of the suggestions and it was very very good, very glad I tried it.
In essence, I would recommend Jim's. It was a good experience full of kind employees, good food, and a good way to start the day.

I was amazed at the size of the portions. They served a full plate which you don't often see. The waitress was extremely helpful. She offered a test taste of the biscuit gravy and an alternative to either pancakes or toast, which I didn't want. Good experience here.

Most of Jim's Family Restaurant's food, in American Fork, is very good and fresh. You get a lot for your money and if moderated you'll get a second meal from the left overs. You learn what you like over time.
I enjoy the fish and chips, steaks, chicken fried steak, breakfast meals, soups, salads and the scones are to die for.
Cozy atmosphere with 70's background music playing. Very popular with the older 🦕 generation. It does get packed for breakfast, sometimes lunch and often also for dinner time. Depends on events and time is year sometimes. Special event rooms available.
Management and staff are very kind and helpful.
Plenty of parking (street available also).

Paul was a terrific server! My coffee stayed hot, and he had great recommendations. The Chile Vwrde omelet was the perfect amount of spice and comfort for a cool rainy morning. Thanks for an awesome breakfast

Great food series is good, but it is always busy and it shows in the service given but overall great place for food

Took the wife here for anniversary lunch with the baby. We had a great big meal. Totally love this place. Comfort food at its best

Think of Denny's on massive steroids. Denny's food choices, consistency, quality, quantity and affordability have made it one of my go to places for years, especially when I am traveling.

Jim's takes everything a level or two higher. The food selection is immense. The proportions are gigantic. The quality is outstanding. And the service is prompt, friendly and provided by a staff who have mainly elected to show us their beautiful smiles again now that Covid is in major decline.
I normally reserve my pancake, eggs and meat fest to my camping griddle. And my camping location in the Uintah National Forest would normally be a beautiful place to conduct this grillfest. However, I had to drive 25 minutes down the mountains to American Fork this morning to get cell phone service for an early business call. And I discovered Jim's on my search for a good place to park and take a call. All I can say is that must be some very good force in the universe that led me to Jim's. IT IS OUTSTANDING.
I am now trying to figure out a plan for visiting Jim's again when I leave my current campsite and head to my next destination.

Very few breakfast places out there with great portions and delicious food. Jim's is one of them. The servers are friendly and prompt. Food comes out very quickly and I've never had a bad meal there.

I expected just mediocre food. And I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent value. I got a double cheeseburger and the thing was monstrous for 13 bucks! They also have chile verde, and it's pretty close to what I expected coming from New Mexico and growing up in Pueblo, Colorado, which are like the green chile capitals of the world! We had outstanding service. I definitely will go back and I recommend this place. It's not fine dining but who cares? It's great meal and a great price and friendly service, what more could you ask for?

Seriously one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Our server, Shannah, was fantastic and communicated my how specifically I like my eggs cooked and they came out perfect. Easily one of the best country fried steaks I've had (beats the pants off of IHOP or Denny's), and the bacon is fantastic. One of the few times I actually scraped remainders of food off my plate. The atmosphere and food are a perfect match. I don't know why it's taken me so many years to finally stop in, but I'm glad I did.

Great service. Amazing breakfast. 10/10 would reccomend. Get the chili verde you wont be disappointed!
