California Pizza Kitchen at Northbrook Court

Loved the food....loved the ambiance... loved the service.... they served the food pretty fast...their pizza is one of my favorites in chicago..they're really good..so are the appetizer.they have some vegetarian food options as well...so this time we we gave it a shot (for a change) and we loved that too..

When in doubt, shop it out, then go to California Pizza Kitchen.

The staff is friendly and the food just always hits the spot every time. Ask for Thomas as your server; he is honest and will help make your decisions when you're simply indecisive 😂

I know I sound like a broken record or maybe I have really good luck with the places I have visited lately as Once again I am giving a high rating. It us on the strenght of the food and service I feel deservedly. We had the Thai Chicken Pizza, The Chicken with Brussel Sprouts, Potato Soup, Mexican Street Corn and the Kung Poa Chicken Pasta. Pizza & soup were good, Chicken w/Brussel Sprouts tasty and the pasta --- Street Corn were excellent and SPICEY. The service was excellent as well. The young lady who was our server was pleasant, friendly, sincere, and attentive without being obnoxious. Unfortunately for my budget it was a little pricey so I probably won't be visiting as frequently as I would like.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at California Pizza Kitchen, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience! The restaurant's ambiance was lively and inviting, with a modern and sleek decor that set the tone for a casual yet sophisticated meal.

But let's talk about the real star of the show: the food. Oh, the food! We started off with the sourdough bread, which was served with a side of olive oil infused with herbs. It was a perfect way to begin our meal, as the bread was warm, fresh, and had just the right amount of crunch to it. The olive oil was also a nice touch, adding a subtle but flavorful element to the bread.

Next up was the thin crust chipotle pizza, which was a absolute showstopper. The crust was perfectly cooked, with a nice crispiness on the outside and a fluffy interior. The toppings were also generously portioned, with finely chopped corn, black beans, onions, peppers, and a lime crema sauce that added a nice tanginess to the pizza. It was truly a delicious and satisfying pizza that left us all wanting more.

And then, there was the chocolate souffle. Oh, the chocolate souffle! It was a beautifully presented dessert, with a perfectly rounded souffle surrounded by a generous scoop of Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream and topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. The souffle itself was light, fluffy, and had just the right amount of sweetness to it. The ice cream and whipped cream added a nice creaminess to the dessert, and the chocolate shavings provided a nice textural contrast. It was truly a decadent and indulgent treat that capped off our meal in style.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with California Pizza Kitchen. The food was creative, delicious, and expertly prepared, and the service was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun and satisfying dining experience.

First time and I can't believe how good this place was. Drinks foods and services are great. Great touch of Asian flavors make food even more interesting.

Some of the best thin crust pepperoni pizza I’ve ever had! The pepperoni is high quality and there are two types on the pizza! Bread and seasoned olive oil are complimentary!

Straight fire. Sometimes there’s a short wait but it is worth it. I love their app, I get rewards for checking in and buying pizza. Bar is nice, tables are cool...

My family and I went to this location and immediately upon entering we were greeted by our kind waiter, Carmelo. He was very nice and jovial with us, and gave us a generous amount of bread as appetizers compared to other locations, where we were given very few pieces of bread for the amount of people being served. When our pizzas arrived, he offered to top them with grated cheese on the spot and brought us crushed red pepper, two things that we’ve never been offered before at any other location. It was a very thoughtful service that shocked us, waiters and waitresses at other locations have never been as attentive as Carmelo. He always thoughtfully tended to our needs and checked in with us frequently to refill our drinks. Carmelo definitely changed our expectations about what a California Pizza Kitchen restaurant can offer to its customers, and we’re happy that the manager Fabio has such a kind individual like Carmelo on the team.

What an amazing experience at CPK this evening. We were greeted by a young stuff of late teens to early 20s. They were upbeat and happy to serve us. I couldn’t decide between the Hawaiian pizza or the Tequila pasta so I ordered both. My wife ordered a tremendously sized salad and the kids got some pizzas.

Darn their food is really good. Just really good.

Our server, Luke, suggested we try the cauliflower appetizer. It had Buffalo sauce on it. My wife was literally smacking her lips as she gobbled it up.

Luke was very attentive and super kind the entire night. Just a great kid that deserved the generous tip we left him.

Love the tomato bisque, the Thai crunch salad and every pizza they make. The mall is slow and that has impacted CPK, but it os still a great meal.

Perfect food, great experience overall.

The outdoor seating and not so crowded setting was perfect for our large group. The food was really good.. Crust not as thick as they started making it which is a good thing. Our server was nice but never in the way. Very young wait staff. Drinks were reasonably priced.

We had our son's 10th birthday party at CPK Northbrook on Saturday and the staff was simply amazing. Accommodating, quick, helpful and polite. When I asked for scissors (that I had sworn I packed in my own bags but didn't), they got them for me in about one minute. Tape, the same thing. I coordinated my party with Juan who was very kind. He gave all 20 kids instruction how to make/label their pizzas, took them on a tour of the back-of-the-house -- the coolers, food storage and kitchen, and was available to answer any questions even as he was covering the rest of the restaurant. Ashley and her team were amazing at service for our party. When 3 kids showed up late, they immediately got them ingredients to make their pizzas. She told me not to worry about a pile of spilled sauce I was trying to clean up and took care of clearing messes and organizing a space for the cake cutting, along with providing fresh plates, utensils and a cake cutter. They took orders/served any adults who were not part of the pizza making kid frenzy and everyone was happy. And food was good! I would definitely recommend CPK Northbrook!

I will keep it simple: love the food but the place is way understaffed. I don't blame the staff but it is just not enough and everything takes forever... If owners don't hire, we will not be back sorry.

For a place that was short staffed and to be frank dealing with some extremely entitled people, our server (young female on Saturday night, sorry couldn't remember her name), was attentive thorough and quick with a smile on her face. I've been in the service industry for a while and have a good eye for good professionals, and she was one. Thank you.

We went there as a group of 10 an hour before closing time. The staff was great. food was also good. I loved the cauliflower wings. Will go back for those!

I semi-frequent this place. Usually I'm here when I have a break in my day in that area but don't want to go home just to come out that way again. I love the food here. I usually eat at the bar since I'm by myself and the staff here is really nice. Admittedly I'm usually here when it's not very busy, so my food gets to me pretty quickly. But even when I was there during a busy time once (on a Friday evening), the food was delivered pretty quickly. And it was this person's first day yet!

Anyway, if you're going to the movies and don't feel like theater food, this is a good place to go beforehand. Or even just a place to go on its own.
