Best Western Oglesby Inn

My family and I have been here several times. The staff is friendly and always cleaning. The rooms are comfortable and we loved the pool and hot tub. Thank you for a fun and good experience! Keep up the great work.

Amazing location for those wanting to go to the state parks in the area. Great local knowledge.

A 3rd party booking site messed up my reservation as well. However, the hotel manager did an amazing job at helping me out and moving my reservation.

Very good. Friendly fast check in...room was nice, clean and had a comfy chair and lamp.
Microwave, coffeemaker, fridge.
TV had lots of channels.
Wifi was extremely fast (25 mb per second download 15 mb per second upload)
Very quiet overnight and good sleep
Loved how the receipt was slipped under the door in the morning, so few places do that anymore.
Breakfast was very well topped up attended and clean
Microwavable sausage/egg biscuit, scrambled eggs, bread products,waffles, yogurt,fruit, oatmeal, cereal.

Toilet (rm110) kept running intermittently for about 30 min after flushing

This is a wonderful Best Western Hotel. The room is big, clean and comfortable, with a big refrigerator. Breakfast is great! The swimming pool had very warm water! Location is perfect! Very close to the Starved Rock State Park! My wife and I enjoyed this stay a lot and we would stay again at this wonderful hotel!
The receptionist was very kind. Not only she recognized my elite diamond status, but she also gave us a bag with a couple of bottles of water.

We will stay here again if we are in the Starved Rock area. Nice clean, updated room. The hotel offers a pool, spa, fitness center, business center, laundry, and breakfast buffet. They had waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, juice, milk, and coffee. I'm a bit of a coffee snob with nesspressso at home every day, but this was decent coffee. One thing I would mention is that the business center is a loft open to the lobby; zero privacy. Also, Google Maps directs you to turn into the parking lot of the neighboring restaurant. This is incorrect; there is no access to the Best Western parking lot from the restaurant lot. From Walnut Street (route 23), turn on to S. Lewis Avenue, take Lewis to the end of the block to Holiday Street and turn right. The Best Western entrance is on Holiday Street.

Nice hotel at a decent price. Comfortable beds. The pool and hot tub were nice and relaxing after a long day of traveling. The hot breakfast was small, but they did offer eggs, waffles, and warm & eat sandwiches as well as yogurt, cereal, etc.

We came in from Chicago and I must say I liked this place, the room was big and comfortable, the location hidden but surrounded by restaurants (one within 20ft) gas stations, subway and down the street from a few others.

This place was great. Very clean and family friendly. The staff especially Deana was great. Their breakfast was amazing and very fresh. My family and I stayed here to visit a few of the State Parks in the area and I’m so glad we did. After a long day of hiking the hot tub felt great and the pool was even better on my body.

Enjoyed our stay. The jacuzzi was great, although the jets were extreme.

I loved staying here. My family and I stayed here for starved rock but this hotel was just as fun. The pool was the perfect temperature and the hot tub was awesome. The breakfast had a very large variety. (You can add chocolate chips to your waffles!) They also provide swiss hot coco. The staff is super friendly. (The 2 wonderful woman that you'd mostly see the the morning at breakfast) the hotel is very quiet and peaceful, perfect for a calm get-away trip. Not to mention the prices! It was very affordable. This trip was awesome (the photos of the breakfast were later in the day and they had rapped up the breakfast)

The staff was pleasantly friendly, especially the gal working the breakfast room Saturday morning. The waffles are yummy & the coffee was good. The shower head was great, and the water was softened. The beds & pillows were comfortable. The room has a good sized fridge, and a full size microwave. We didn't swim, but the pool looked very clean & well kept. The parking was plentiful, spacious and easily accessible. The only negative comment is that our room, and everything in it, had a very damp feeling. That would not stop us from recommending this hotel, and we will definitely stay here again, as we pass through.

So accommodating! Let me have early check in for 20 extra dollars. If you need anything they will do all they can to make you happy. I really loved the fresh scent in the hotel. The hallway smelled wonderful. My room smelled wonderful. I'll be back!

Comfortable beds, nice business lounge, breakfast still grab and go but have nice microwave jimmy dean sandwiches. Friendly staff, especially to my rambunctious kids. Tidy for a budget hotel. I think the pool is very nice- warm water, simple white decor with high ceilings and windows thrown open-very sunny and pleasant! Highlight for me.

This is a nice Best Western to stay at. We were guests for a few days while we visited Starved Rock and this was a very convenient location for that.

The hotel is close to the highway so it is easy to get to, but there was no issue with traffic noise. Slept like babies. The rooms were very clean and the beds quite comfortable. All of the staff was pleasant and accommodating, very helpful.

There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby (we recommend Cindy's across the street or The Rootbeer Stand down the way).

We only stayed one night but we had a very nice stay. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and had everything we needed. The best part was the staff. They were very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!

I wanted a last minute weekend get-away from Rockford to celebrate my 40th birthday this past Saturday, and I chose to visit Starved Rock with my husband and son. The lodge there was fully booked so my husband booked us at the Best Western Oglesby. What a great choice that was! The indoor pool and hot tub were clean and beautiful and provided plenty of free entertainment for my 5 year old. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities: fridge AND microwave in particluar. Breakfast was fine. Nothing special, but nice to have. The hotel staff were helpful and kind. In particular the saturday morning 9/25 breakfast attendant. She was especially kind and helpful with ideas for our day and reccommendations for meals. It was a great weekend and our hotel choice could have really made it less tha. Great. I am so happy we chose the Best Western 💙
