Recommend making a pit stop here if you’re driving through. After the 1st time trying this place, we made sure to make it back 2 months later. Delicious bbq and sides! The first time I tried the southwest wrap with brisket and cheesy hash browns and added cornbread. It was delicious! Large portion wrap, able to take one half home and the cornbread was so delicious I ate it all and ordered a second piece to go with my left over wrap. Second time tried the chopped brisket sandwich (pictured) and Mac n cheese with corn bread. Mac n cheese was fantastic (cheese and flavor was on par) and the corn bread again was amazing - best kind I’ve had at a restaurant and reminds me of famous Dave’s cornbread. Highly recommend checking this place out! We will be making it a regular pit stop when in the area.

Food , Atmosphere,Service were all displayed here with great American pride !! Starting out with the food tried burnt ends , smoked wings, sausage links, and finished off with brisket sandwich , very well done and smoked , tender and juicy . Loved their signature Bbq sauce and was surprised on their peach chipotle sauce just the right amount of both ingredients . Atmosphere was perfect inside and out , service was outstanding with servers coming by to ask how everything was on a regular highly recommend if you ever are in Peru IL.

Meet up with some old friends as it was a midway point for all of us. Was happy to know that had a great room in the back as we had a group of 9 including small children. The bloody Mary I had was good in flavor a few more options that come with it would be nice or to substitute others in etc. The food was good none the less and same with sauces great. Service was good as well. Definitely will return when in the area!

Stone Jug BBQ catered our wedding of 200 people in September. They were easy to work with as we prepared out menu, and Nina was able to accommodate food allergies and last minute change of doubling our serving staff and adding another buffet line. Day of they executed incredibly well - led by John who set the tone for his whole crew. From setting up in the middle of a tented wedding on our family farm to serving our guests with a smile and all-around great hospitality. Our guests continue to rave about our wedding food from Stone Jug - especially the corn bread, brisket and sauces. We would do it all over again with them if we could!

This is quite the quaint barbecue joint! Great food!! Would recommend everything we ate, but especially the burnt ends and St. Louis style ribs. Really good cheesy hash browns too! Quite a few good options to choose from. The decor is very realistic rustic, creating a very neat atmosphere. The service was efficient and friendly. I kind of hope I end up back in Peru soon so I can get a chance to eat here again!

Best BBQ I've ever eaten. Baked beans were made in heaven. Too bad I love so far away. This a stop on my family's vacation.

Yummy! Had our food managers class here today and the food was delicious. The house made bbq is also yummy. The mac and cheese was sooooo cheesy, the baked beans had bacon and were delicious. Everything has a bit of spice ecen the colesalw, so mouth watering!!!! Yummy yummy yummy! I wish I lived closer. I'd be here every week at least! Thank you for the amazing food and nice smiles!!! 10/10

I don't do reviews much, but this was some of the best BBQ I've had in a hot minute. Burnt ends that didn't taste like they were microwaved straight out of a freezer. All dry rubbed meat that wasn't over-sauced. Will return to test more.

So I ordered every meat and most sides, tried every sauce they had. Everything was pretty good. Service was great. Corn bread was a little generic and bland. All the meat was great. Cooked perfectly and hot. Sauces were different not bad not great just different. The whole place was super clean. Bathrooms were up to date. They did have screwball whiskey, but they had plenty else to choice from. We have been wanting to try this place for some time now. Almost everyone we know who say you want good BBQ you have to try them out. They were not wrong and they didn't disappoint. If you are with in an hour it's worth every minute. We drove 45 mins one way just to try it. Highly recommend it.

Sent here for the first time for a simply amazing lunch! The chopped brisket is literally to die for, smoky, tender and so very delicious! Pair it with the chessy hash browns for a perfect lunch! The house barbque sauce is deliciously sweet with just a bite of sass!! Can't wait to go back soon!!

First time here, won’t be the last. I went with sliced brisket and pulled pork with Mac n cheese and a piece of cornbread. I got a bite of the hot links and cheesy hash browns as well. The meats are all dry rubbed and smoked well with a good smoky flavor. The hot link was just right to me, but my son in law was a bit surprised at the heat. They have a big selection of beer in the bottle as well as on tap. They have an event room for parties, and a dining room that seats 32 at tables and a bar area with stools for another 10 or so.

What a great find. Heading I80 east and stopped for lunch. 4 minutes from the interstate, and some of the best barbecue we’ve had! Sat at the bar. The bar tender was fabulous. We tried the burnt ends, chili, and pastrami sandwich. Yum! Enjoyed our lunch so much we took home the gumbo, carry out brisket, and bread pudding to share with family for dinner tonight. Highly recommend this restaurant. Family friendly atmosphere. We saw families come in with small children. Loved the stone walls and wood plank flooring. VERY reasonably priced. Staff, cleanliness, food all 5 star. Thank you!

I just want to thank Stone Jug and entire staff for helping to make my mother’s 90th birthday party a success! Not only was staff friendly, but so accommodating with our out of state family coming in early to decorate. The food could not have been more delicious and numerous family members commented on it! The sing elves that day really were the icing on the cake! I can’t thank you enough for a perfect experience!!

Food is good, lots of inside and outside seating. You order food at the side counter & drinks at the bar. So you’ll have 2 separate tickets. I ordered a Quesadilla, I only show half of it in my picture,(it’s not on the menu)

Went for the shrimp boil, great outside seating with a band, food was great, and the service top notch. Loved it. Prices were average , . We will be back.

Food was excellent and great service! I got St. Louis style Ribs! Very neat facility and decor! Antique wood and stone walls! Recommend stopping in for a evening!

Food was delicious ! Came all the way from sandwich ,IL was nervous@ first because many places have disappointed in the past few years but this place came in with a WIN . Def recommend if you pass through this town.

Comfy clean place. We could smell mouthwatering meats walking up to the door! The staff are very friendly and courteous. The bathrooms were Very Clean!! The food came out very quickly(we did get there right at opening) I highly recommend getting the burnt ends they were phenomenal! Actually everything was just freaking great!! It's a bit pricey but it's totally worth it! Will definitely be coming back for more meat sweats!
