Heinen's Grocery Store

First time shopping here and it’s a total W. I’ve never seen a grocery store with so many nice and helpful staff! They were spread out in almost every section and were able to point me in the direction of the ingredients I was searching for. Would highly recommend shopping here!

Very clean store. Nice hardworking staff always polite and very helpful. A lot of fresh produce and very nice prepared food bar. They always have fresh coffee and I mean a good one not that drip kind. I would really recommend this store. It beats Marianos across the street on all levels.

I’ve been all over the world and this is by far the cleanest grocery store I’ve ever seen. The cheese and wine selections are phenomenal. This is where I would shop if I lived in Chicago. I found selections here that I couldn’t elsewhere

I am visiting Chicago and visiting heinens was a MUST. Didn’t disappoint! I wish you guys would expand to St. Louis because there is nothing like it there.

Really great sale on berries. There's a small selection of fresh squeezed juices (orange, grapefruit, and apple). Very clean. Nice staff. Enjoyed the sashimi. Really close to work. 3 min drive.

I rarely write reviews unless they are based on very positive experiences. Heinen's is immaculate. Also, everything it has is well thought out from the wines to the produce to the meats to the vitamin supplements...Even its coffee and tea selection is terrific. Any time I purchase a fruit or vegetable, it is fresh. The staff are always friendly and helpful. It is a good looking store that has a great selection. Its house brands are high quality (best parmesan cheese I have ever tasted) and it runs very good sales. I hope they are around for a long long time.

We had the best experience at this store! John at the front end took the time to re-bag our groceries when he noticed it wasn’t done right the first time. We would have walked out not saying a word but working in the grocery industry this kindness and care goes a long way. Now I won’t have any spills in the parking lot from bags breaking. He was so wonderful and kind. Thankful for people like John!

Well organized and exceptionally clean! Friendly and helpful service. Enjoy the craft brews on tap. Key items are fresh and organic products. It is a bit pricey but perfect for special meals and items. Bakery and deli foods are stellar along with a salad bar that has varied salads such as curry noodles and others.

We first shopped this Heinen's during the pandemic. We found a very clean store, wide aisles and an excellent selection of well stocked products. We then migrated to Instacart and were delighted my Heinen's membership number brought the specials to us via delivery. I was also able to see that Heinen's typically has better prices than Jewel or Sunset. Now we are back shopping in-person and have made Heinen's our primary grocery store. We spend and visit less at Jewel and Sunset. The staff at Heinen's is excellent! They are available, friendly, helpful and cheery. The number of items Heinen's carries and the level of inventory is excellent. The quality of produce, fish and meats are superior to other local grocery stores. It is easy to get in and out as the level of service is excellent at all points including the deli counter and check-out. Well trained staff make it a real pleasure to shop at Heinen's.

I love this Heinen’s. They have everything you could ever need including unique Asian/Mexican ingredients as well as the best quality poke I’ve had in all of suburban Chicago, let alone any grocery stores. Super nice staff too!

The grilled shrimp is the tastiest! Although I don't eat meat anymore, it's very comforting to know they ensure a wide selection of any & everything that meets your meal plan expectations. 😀

They carry a very nice and large selection of various merchandise and offer good regular promotions as well. The store is kept nice and tidy and the employees are nice and helpful.

This is a really wonderful example of a small local chain providing excellent service, a good variety of items, a great variety of foods and produce you will never see at a national chain and pretty competitive prices. It also doesn't have a find snobbish feel to it. Just really nice employees, wide, clean aisles, great produce and when you're done, you know you put your money back into the local economy. One of the nice parts of moving back to the suburbs is being able to shop here again.

There are many grocery store in the area to choose from but Heinen's is the best. They have quality meats, quality produce, and quality seafood. If you are in a hurry or don't feel like cooking they offer an excellent selection of freshly prepared lunches and dinners -- from sushi to soup to salads to chicken, pork, seafood, and vegetarian dishes. They offer many options for the busy professional or parent. Heinen's bakery also has fresh breads, bagels, and pastries. Be sure to try their excellent selection of European cookies. Want to shop a glass of wine or beer? Heinen's has you covered. Be sure to check out their solid selection of wines and craft beers. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. This store is very well managed and run. If you live in the area or are passing through I highly recommend you visit.

My favorite grocery store out of many excellent choices in the area. The employees are helpful and courteous, the aisles are organized and easy to navigate. The fresh meat and seafood are exceptional ditto on produce and bakery. There are always enough checkout stations available and they close on holidays.

There is always a knowledgeable person available to assist you in each and every department. They have helped me with cooking instructions, thawing estimates and in choosing the best value. My favorite item is the filet mignon. You can cut it with a butter knife. Clean, organized and friendly. Great store.

Great and healthy food options for all diets, good COVID restrictions and rules to keep everyone safe, and amazing staff. There is also a good wine selection too. Groceries are fresh and come from all over the country. Without reservation I recommend going to your local Heinen’s.

Heinen's is unique in that it truly has customer service. Today they were out of the handmade turkey burgers that I like I only buy two at a time because I like them fresh not frozen. The man in the meat department ask if I could wait and he would make some up for me.
Then I couldn't find an item that I was looking for and the manager on duty spent quite a bit of time and finally located it for me. This is the kind of service that's all too rare in this world. I love this store
