Wild West Ranch

We have been here multiple times to go riding through the woods. The horses are charming, the scenery is stunning, and the guides are amazing! This is a small family run operation and we love riding here. This is a truly unique experience! This winter we are hoping to come for a sleigh ride!

Great experience for a great price! We took our daughter on a pony ride. The pony, Moses, was adorable and well trained. Though obviously a beginner path there were still mild inclines, declines, and slopes allowing our daughter to get a more well rounded feel for riding all while feeling safe being lead by both of us (really the pony ran the show).

My family of four had a wonderful time, the guide was fun and personable, we all loved her sense of humor. The horses all had their own personalities which was fun. I have seen a couple reviews stating that this place doesn't treat their horses well, I did not see that at all, the horses were strong, looked well fed and not once did I witness any mistreatment. I also seen reviews saying the owner was rude, not being bubbly, and not being overly chipper does not equal rude, the owner had work to do and she got it done, she took care of her staff, she took care of her horses, and she took care of her customers. This experience was fantastic and we can't wait to return.

We had so much fun! Vicky was an amazing ride guide and super funny! Definitely recommend going here for a few hours if you have time! The ride is about an hour long, oh, and bring cash if possible, they prefer cash or check to credit cards or debit cards

Wonderful experience! Lisa was an amazing guide, full of lots of Michigan info, the trail was beautiful and the horses were so patient with our family of four. Next time we are in Western Michigan, we will definitely do this again with them.

Our family had such an amazing time at the ranch. Everyone there was so much fun and inviting. We absolutely loved our guide and had a blast on our 1.5 hour ride. It was so relaxing and peaceful in the woods. The whole family (ages 9-40) are already planning our next trip to the ranch. We highly recommend.

Had a great experience riding horses for my dad's birthday. They treated the horses well and knew them all very well. Our guide was very fun and talkative. What a wonderful day!

Jan and her team were great. She was very helpful and accommodating for our group. We did the one hour trail ride. We had 5 kids age 7-11 with us and they all did great. The trails were scenic and peaceful. It was a nice ride. We were a bunch of rookies and all had a blast. Thanks for the memorable day!

One of the best highlights on our trip in MI, an absolute enjoyable experience all around from the owner to all staff who went above and beyond. There were larger horses to accommodate bigger family members and our guide Erica was so patient with my son who didn’t stop asking questions. It was an efficient process and our safety was priority. We can’t wait to go back for carriage and sleigh rides! Thank you so much for new family memories as my parents hadn’t ridden in 20 years!

This was the highlight of our bachelorette trip. The check in process was extremely efficient and the 1 hour ride was perfect. The horses were tame and we felt comfortable the entire time. Alara was an amazing guide and really made the experience the best it could possibly be. The rate of $25 for a 1 hour ride is reasonable and well worth it. Make sure to bring extra cash to tip the guide, since they work for tips.

We had a really nice experience at Wild West Ranch. We called a week before to schedule a trail ride for 8 people (6 adults, 2 kids) and they were able to accommodate us. We had someone drop out and the morning of called to tell them and it was not a problem. They were very accommodating.
My daughter experiences anxiety in new situations and took a few extra minutes to get on her horse. They did not rush her or get impatient, but instead waited and we're friendly and encouraging to her/us until she was ready. I really appreciated that.
We had a friendly trail guide and they had a few friendly dogs and cats there to greet you. The horses were gentle and easy to ride. Overall we had a nice experience and I recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful one-hour trail ride. Our guide, Lisa, was absolutely fantastic. The horses were well behaved and the trail was beautiful. Highly recommend. Make sure to get there early, they tell you 15 minutes but 20 is probably better, to do paperwork, fit helmets, load onto the horses, etc. Can’t wait to return on a future visit.

Colder temps and a slight drizzle didn’t stop my girlfriend and I from having a blast at Wild West Ranch! We paid, signed waivers, and saddled up on Mystic and Ziggy. Our guide Lisa did a great job of telling us about the horses and lead us through the peaceful trails with ease. I would highly recommend this place for horseback riding.

So for hunters out there that are hunting feet from other people's properties,you might want to do your homework. You have to be 450 feet from a dwelling, business, etc. Wild west ranch is a business that runs year round and and indeed to groom their trails daily. Maybe if you hadn't flipped the owners off and started harassing them first, you might not have had such an experience. You reap what you sow. She had EVERY right to protect what is hers as I'm sure you would as well if you owned property.there are 2 sides to every story, maybe if you are going to tell the story, you should tell the WHOLE story, not leave out what you did to start it! Honorable hunters DO NOT act this way! As a a fellow hunter, I know the rules and I abide by them. As should you!

Lisa was our guide, she set up an amazing spontaneous adventurous day even set up the perfect photos for the #gram, great personality with a touch of spice.

10 out of 10 on this one. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The guide was humorous. The horses were very well trained and behaved. I highly recommend! The prices were top notch as well.

Magical experience! It was great talking with Lisa. Jake the horse was too cute and very eager lol. Smooth ride, and the snowfall made it feel like a fairytale. Will definitely be back.

This was so beautiful in the fall. I enjoyed my ride. It was about 50 minutes but they offer longer rides. The horses seem well cared for and I really appreciated that my horse had been rescued from a kill pen that it was sent to after an ankle injury. I will go back again.
