Absolutely favorite place to go on a hike. So peaceful and so many trails, and my furbaby loves it. ❤ Good workout with the hills, lots of wildlife. Very clean trails, some paved trails. Have never ran into a bunch of mud or water at all.

This is my new favorite preserve. There's a variety of terrain from clusters of forest to rolling grassy hills to a still reflective pond. The views from the top are amazing, especially now in the fall. One thing I especially love is that some paths are paved, making this a safer place to hike in regards to ticks. I love walking with my dog here. (I do wish other dog owners would keep theirs leashed though) I'm also a photographer and will definitely be photographing here in the future! A gorgeous place with a variety of trails. I hope they do something fun with the old restaurant building. Maybe a nice cafe/warming hut and nature center for hikers/skiers? Yes please! Update-They have planted black eyed susan flowers on the main hill which is spectacular to see in August. What a great addition!

Very peaceful place for a walk/hike! The paths are clearly marked and the posted signs and maps are helpful. Really fun to see the former golf course go back to nature. Over half of the walking trails are on paved former cart paths, but sometimes you are walking on mowed grass across former fairways and greens. And the other reviewers are correct—it is very hilly!

Ample parking. Dog friendly. Will definitely be returning!

This place is awesome and such a great idea. Too many golf courses… love the idea of buying the land to bring back nature and critters! Great job!

Just think, this property could have been turned into lots for million dollar homes, but now, thankfully, it’s a nature preserve where paved golf cart trails are the hiking paths. It has been very interesting to see how nature is taking over the old fairways and greens. There is still a lot of potential here to make it an all day family friendly outdoor spot.

The Offield Family Viewlands is quickly becoming my favorite Little Traverse Conservancy property. This property used to be a golf course, so there is plenty of parking and the old golf cart trails are used as a walking trail. The views are breathtaking. If you aren’t comfortable walking up/down steep hills, you can still enjoy the property by driving to the parking lot and just taking a few steps to see the views. While there are buildings on the property, none of them are open for things like restrooms or hand washing.

Hiking trails are through the old Little Traverse golf course. Scenic views of Little Traverse Bay and a nostalgic hike of the old golf course.

We stayed at the condos adjoining this location, and it is beautiful. It’s a former golf course that is now a view lands. Wonderful trails beautiful view of the lake and sunset. Free to come in and very secluded not a lot of traffic.

Spectacular views and elevations!!! A must visit for day hikers in Northern Michigan. Build your own unique experience with a variety of interconnected trail spurs. Medium difficulty (hills) hike on abandoned (golf) cart paths and partially maintained trails with good signage.

Great hiking (HILLY!) with beautiful views as reward. Awesome backstory of property and hopeful future for nature retaking what belongs to it. Thank you Little Traverse Conservancy!

Very beautiful. Loved the views from all angles on the trails. Liked that you post to their # to share your pictures of the growth progress back to nature.

Great walking area, old golf course. Some significant hills. Beautiful views. No bathrooms that I am aware of.
