We stayed in the Bears Den. The room was spotless and cozy. Chris and Jessica were fantastic hosts, friendly, welcoming, and the breakfast was phenomenal. We will definitely be back again and recommend this b&b to anyone visiting the area. The location was an easy drive to Harbor Springs, Petoskey, and only 45 minutes to Mackinaw. Perfect spot for a long weekend in summer or winter.

Chris and Jessica are great hosts! It is like being at home and still on vacation. We’ve stayed at the bed and breakfast for last 5 years over the 4th of July and will keep coming back as long as we can make the trip. The breakfast is something special and the fruit cups are beautiful and fresh! As you can tell by the review that we love this place and everyone should try Happy Days and Nights. 5 Stars!

Chris and Jessica were great hosts! We brought our German Shepherd with us (her first trip) and she did great and they were very sweet to her. Rooms were very clean and grounds were beautiful. Loved the wine tasting and came home with a few bottles. Location is great, under 15-20 minutes from Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Husband took advantage of the sauna (there is also a hot tub). Will definitely come back.

We had a great stay! Super clean, super comfortable, super cute and pretty. Chris and Jessica are very nice and welcoming and do their jobs very well. Complimentary wine tasting was a fun unexpected touch, and breakfast was amazing! Great spot for nearby snowboarding. Right in Harbor Springs and close to Petoskey. Really couldn't have been happier with our room and stay. Pretty, clean, good amount of space and private bath. Clean!

Chris and Jessica are amazing hosts and made such delicious breakfast! We loved the complementary wint tasting even though we aren't wine drinkers. It is located in a convenient area too, near Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and not a far drive from Mackinaw.

Had a wonderful stay with my wife this weekend for a ski trip. The room was clean, quiet and big enough for two adults & a 100lb German pupper. I would highly recommend staying here! It was our first B&B experience and I’ll be back this summer for bike trips! James was excellent! Very attentive and welcoming! The breakfast was excellent as well! If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay that is going to offer more than what you would find else where, stop searching! Like I said, I will be back this summer and for years to come! 👍

Amazing stay! This was our first time staying here and we were pleasantly surprised with nearly every aspect. The rooms were bigger than the photos led on, very clean, and up to date (cable & HBO on the smart TV, nice bathrooms, linens, etc), and pet-friendly! James & Mindy made us feel welcome and right at home. The made-to-order breakfasts were amazing each morning! We did not partake in the wine tasting as we were skiing each day, but will absolutely do it when we come back. The price is excellent, it’s a short drive to the ski hills, and a much better bang for your buck than staying onsite at Boyne or Nubs. Thank you for a wonderful experience at our new favorite up north destination!!

Very accommodating. Served us breakfast earlier than provided as we needed to be at the golf course for a very early tee time.

We’re here tonight for our second visit while skiing at Nubs Nob. We just love it here! Both women that run the B&B are terrific. So very friendly and helpful. They make our breakfast every morning and it’s delicious. Tomorrow we’re getting discounts from here on our ski lift tickets too. Tonight our host sang and played her mandolin for us! What a treat. You will truly love it here and want to stay again. So much more personable than any hotel.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the eclectic decorative style. Beautiful property and views. Walk the property, see the vineyard and steps throughout the hillside. Don't forget to ask for a wine tasting.

We enjoyed our stay. We saw all of the beautiful and uniquely designed room. The individually controlled air conditioners were a plus. We didn't get to try the hot tub but look forward to it next time. The host was genuine and kind. She was available whenever we needed her but never obtrusive. Overall the highland hideaway was and is beyond exceptional and we strongly recommend visiting.

This beautiful historic home is cozy and comfy. The hosts are quick to please and pleasant. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. We’ve stayed twice. Once in early autumn and then again this winter for ski season. Couldn’t be a better place. Thanks Chris and Jesse!

We had no idea what we were walking into, But Highland Hideaway was an awesome find for us. Will definitely stay again.

Breakfast was great with WONDERFUL service.

Hosts, James & Mindy were awesome also. Very friendly and confirmed if we needed anything when we saw them.

Facility & Rooms immaculate! If you took a white glove test, room would be more dusty from the white glove. Impressed! Do not know how you do it!

Thanks again!

This remote B&B is located on the outskirts of Petoskey. They have a winery and wine tastings. They have a hot tub and sauna. Their staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Lake Michigan is a short trek to the B&B, and there are some nice hiking trails. There are some nice restaurants in town and an excellent get away for some well deserved R&R. The wine is wonderful and the rooms are super cute. The best B&B I have been to. Lance is a wonderful host.

Beautiful, spacious rooms and common areas, easy check-in, great breakfast, and a very welcoming and friendly host! The value was great as well, especially with the wine tasting included with the room. Very close to Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands and not far from Harbor Springs and Petoskey.

Awesome place for a couples getaway. James and Mindy were amazing hosts going above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. Breakfast was cooked to order off of an extensive menu and made for whatever time you choose. The extra rooms included a bunch of stuff like a tv/computer/study area, games/telescope/gas fireplace area, jacuzzi/sit down personal saunas/eliptical, and a breakfast area with snacks and dietary supplements to try. It is also a wellness center if you choose to try their products out. The outdoor hot tub was awesome (especially because it was winter and there was snow all around). The room was clean and well decorated like the rest of the house (we stayed in the petite pearl). Overall amazing experience and we're hoping to bring more people with us next time.

All I can say is WOW!
My husband and I came up here on our wedding night to start our honeymoon. The Bed & Breakfast is pet friendly, my dog loved watching the doves fly around.
The chef even made Thor (my dog) his own breakfast! They also have a cute winery, and vineyard - best wine I've ever tasted.
This place is a MUST-STAY!

Truly enjoyed our stay at the Highland Hideaway. We were in the area to attend a wedding in Charlevoix. The extra drive time was worth it for the customer service and reasonable price. The innkeepers, Mindy and her husband, were kind and welcoming. Breakfast was served hot and personalized based on a custom order from a menu we were provided with many options. The property is beautiful. They have a large multi level deck you can enjoy during the nice weather. There is also a winery on the property. A perfect location being a short drive to Harbor Springs, Petosky, and Charlevoix. Will definitely look to stay there again!

The property is beautiful and there is so much to do. The room was very cozy and they allow dogs. The hosts were such wonderful people and the breakfast is good. We will definitely be back!
