Coffee Cup Diner

Had an excellent home made corned beef hash, two eggs over easy, and toast at one of the few local breakfast joints open Monday, all for $8.50. Friendly, prompt service in a classic railcar diner. Thai food is also offered, if you want to mix it up a bit, and no salt is used, that being left to each customer's preference. A definite returner!

Excellent Thia shrimp salad. Cannot await until the seasonal pies & desserts come in. Nice time to catch up with Kevin the owner too!

8am walked in and was seated with my coffee in hand: under 4 minutes!
Quick menu check and went with #1 Daily Special. Food on table before my coffee was gone. Giant fluffy pancakes..salty bacon..perfect as ordered over medium eggs. Wish we lived close enough to make this a regular spot for breakfast. Waitress was friendly too! Not a lot of seats but very cool diner vibes.

Service is spectacular. Portions are huge. Prices are small. Selections are well prepared and tasty. Highly recommend the Big Bowl of Thai soup or ground sirloin.

My secret go to spot for breakfast. Been going for the last 14 years. Kathy is the best waitress. My favorite place to load up on potatoes lol

Thoroughly impressed with the breakfast here. Cooked well, not grease soaked, tastes good... And a reasonably priced place with good portion size. Consistent quality slammed out here. Not fancy but well prepared, looks and tastes good.

My wife had biscuits & gravy and said it was really good too. Parked at the curb, right in front of their door. Our destination was about a half mile away, but their parking lot was full so we gave the Coffee Cup a try.

Amazing food. Great place for breakfast. Large size servings in a quaint diner atmosphere! Our waitress Erin is highly recommended she's amazing!! Can't wait to come back to this little restaurant again!

My wife, some family we were visiting, and I stopped here after walking the town. While I was expecting a typical diner meal I was surprised to find a menu with a variety of authentic Thai cuisine. It was absolutely delicious and well priced. The owner went above and beyond and even gave us some free mugs to take home to Canada. Thanks for the great experience !

Stopped in here because I was hungry and needed a bite to fill my stomach, after driving some clients from Bloomfield Hills. Well, this place is legit and hit all the right levels of service, food quality, taste, atmosphere and friendliness! The owner even spoke to me and is a great lady! Definitely recommend a meal for anyone who is in town to stop by and eat here! You won't be disappointed.

My favorite place to get a fantastic meal. Not only does this place server regular diner food, but they have Thai food! Their Thai food is so dang good! The owner loves her customers and the servers are always happy. I couldn't ask for a better place to get a meal.

I was visiting my friend. I'm from Minnesota but love exploring Hillsdale with her! We stopped by for breakfast here and I was enchanted by the design. We only have Mickey's Diner in St. Paul, so it was neat to see an expanded rail car. My friend said if you want to know what's happening around town, the wait staff harbors all that knowledge. Remember to tip your waitress; or she'll remember you. The quirkiest thing had to be the selection of Thai food off an otherwise nostalgic American menu. The French Toast is to die for, but I hope to get something else the next time I go..

Walking into this tiny diner in Hillsdale, you would NEVER know the deliciousness that awaits you on the back page of the menu.
The owner / head cook is from Thailand and has brought some traditional dishes to her diner. AND MOST ARE VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN! :))
Portions are huge and one is HAPPY to leave with a carry-out container, because you KNOW that later you will get to taste that scrumptious food once again.
This place is a treasure!!!

Good food, friendly and professional servers, cute dinning experience, and the new owner has done well with bringing something new and unique to the menu with their Thai dishes.

Great food. Fast, friendly service. Diner Burger topped with ham and Swiss. Served with ruffle chips. Also has authentic Thai food.

Such a great spot for coffee and a sandwich; and plot twist - their TAI soups! Not sure why they have Tai food but they do and it's amazing!
