Ryke's Bakery Catering & Cafe

Ordered a cake for my son's birthday with a Ninja turtle theme and a photo collage. I think it turned out and tasted amazing! I recommend them for cakes AND will use them for all my kids birthday cakes!

I would give them 10 stars! They have created beautiful and delicious cupcakes and cakes for many of our important family events. From a baby shower to birthdays and of course our wedding, we always choose Ryke’s!!

They knock their cakes out of the park every time. Friendly staff, easy phone order process. Needed a cake in 3 days because I do everything last minute and they did a great job. My son wanted a picture of a train, I emailed them a picture and a vague description of what I wanted for the colors and they did an excellent job.

Ryke's (Holland, MI) stepped in to save the day after I faced a last minute crisis with another local bakery! I spoke with Kiara on the phone and she was so kind, patient, professional, and knowledgeable when it came to placing my order. When I picked up the order, the team members were so incredibly friendly and helpful! The design on the cakes turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I ordered 3 cakes and they coordinated the color palette to match the 1970s theme and each other perfectly! The cakes were so moist, flavorful and delicious. All of our guests really enjoyed their first piece and some even went back for seconds! Thanks again so much for such a wonderful experience, it really helped to make my parent's 70th Birthday Celebration special!

Ryke's Bakery is THE BEST bakery in Muskegon. You know there's something special going on when you get a cake for an event and the first question people ask is, "did you get it from Ryke's?" And then when you say yes they get excited. The buttercream icing is very good and they make a whipped icing that is also incredible and that means a lot coming from me because I don't normally like whipped icing...

Also, their cafe burritos are my favorite! I look forward to those returning to the menu.

Oh my! Once again a place in Muskegon surprise me!

This is the best bakery I think I have ever been to. It even beats Arnies in Grand Rapids. ( that being said it's kinda an apples and oranges thing Arnies has a much larger menu)

But this place does serve sandwiches and soups as well.

It is the baked goods that blows me away.
I had a Bavarian cream long John. Most places inject the cream. Here it is cut in half and spread ( thickly) on the inside.

This was seriously cheating on my diet, I will likely pay for it with extra insulin later.

The cream horns looked astounding

The cupcakes looked amazing.

I can't say I even glanced at the soup and sandwiches, the other side kept ma attention.

by the way this building used to be a dairy, and the dining area has photos about that

Got my boyfriend's cake here. Walked in asked if they could do a weed design but I wasn't sure how I wanted it and gave them free roam of all colors and design. I thought it was the most beautiful cake ever and for ana amazing price.

Originally my review was a one star and I am changing that to a 5 star now because of Drew’s top Notch customer service and his willingness to make things right after a bad experience. It was so refreshing to speak to someone who truly cares about their customers experiences. He not only made things right but we also assured me that he is working to improve the culture at Rykes bakery and because of this I will give the company another shot when I am in need of a cake.

Not only the most delicious cake, but the decorations were above and beyond for our toddler’s mermaid party!

Stopped here on our way to traverse City to pick up a donut & cream puff for the road! Delicious!! They have all of the favorites and more, as well as wraps and sandwiches! They cater too! My only suggestion would be to have some chairs outside!!

I was ordering a cake for my wife's birthday, the lady at the counter was super helpful.

Ordered a 7" marble flavored cake with bavarian cream filling and whipped frosting.
It was one of the best cakes we've ever had.
Everyone raved about it. It was moist and delicious.
Decorated nicely. Would definitely order again from here.

Incredible! We planned our event from out of state, so most of our correspondence was done over the phone/email, and Ryke's was always good about replying and working with us. Very flexible and gave us good recommendations/suggestions. The cake was fantastic, everyone we talked to at our wedding agreed. It also looked great. Highly recommend going w/Ryke's!

They have a little restaurant area, fabulous cakes and deserts, plus all kinds of baked goods! Yum yum good! Love their baked goods!

I had the best possible experience today at Ryke’s Bakery in Muskegon! I stopped in to see if they might have a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting (special request by grandson) available for purchase that I could customize for a special event tomorrow. Upon walking over to the cake display area, I was immediately greeted by Luke. Luke was not only extremely helpful but so friendly and knowledgeable. When I told him about the occasion for the cake, he was quick to offer wording suggestions and promptly took the cake to the back to personalize for me, and did a beautiful job! The cake itself was very beautiful but the personalized attention that Luke provided makes this cake so very special. Luke is an absolutely incredible asset to the business. Thumbs up to Luke! The cake is for my grandson’s 1st Communion tomorrow and I couldn’t be more pleased with this cake for this very special event. I highly recommend this bakery for any custom cake but if you haven’t ordered ahead of time you’ll be in great hands stopping in to pick up a cake from their bakery case. By the way, Ryke’s makes the best cakes in West Michigan and has been for decades!

Ryke's never fails to make something amazing. The actual cake we ordered was even more beautiful than the model photo cake! Thank you for sharing in just how proud we are of our son.

Picked up wedding cake Saturday morning the 17 th. Of June 23. Staff super friendly, even carried the cake to the car for me . Cake was delicious and everyone raved about it . Thanks for the awesome service !!
