Market Place Meats and Deli

I love this old fashioned butcher shop! I'm on their email list, so I get special prices if I show the email on my phone! I always come here for the great deal on 5 lbs of ground sirloin that I use for my chilli & spaghetti sauces. They grind it their selves, daily! They sell whole beef tenderloins, large bags of chicken, sea food, special cuts of bacon & many other items! You have to take a number & wait a while, but it's well worth it!

Best place to buy top notch meat for great prices!! They also have plenty of spices, a deli, and more. Customer service is also fantastic. If you come right before a holiday expect a long wait, but it's worth it!! They move quick, will trim, roll, tie, etc. your meat and then even carry it out to your car if you need them to. I'm lucky I live close; today a lady told me she drove 40 mins to buy her meat for Christmas here. That alone tells you how awesome this place is!!

Recently started going here after learning about it through my mom. Great prices and great product. Have been really happy with all of the meats I ordered from here. It was a little chaotic learning how to order but once I figured it out it’s been pretty easy. Staff was really nice and helpful. We got a ton of meat for a surprising price compared to grocery store prices. All of the meat was great. I ordered a a large variety and was super happy with everything we got. Definitely can’t wait to go back.

I was at Market Place Meats and Deli last night 12/18/2023. That place is awesome! Mario took care of my order! I really appreciated the excellent customer service he provided. It's real and authentic, and you can tell he really cares about doing a great job!

This place is the best hands down. They not only have the best deals they have a great staff also. From lunch meat - prime rib always great meat at the best price. They are by far the best around. Thank you marketplace for the great service!!

Excellent market with fresh food! Huge lobsters tails, best quality steaks, turkey, they have great wild salmon. The crab cakes are delicious. You can find anything you need for cooking here. The service is super friendly and the prices aren’t bad!

I showed up 2 mins before closing (didn't know they closed early that day) to get 30lbs of chicken quarters. asked for the 30lbs the lady told me ill do you one better ill give you 40lbs for $32. normally $10 for 10 pounds give or take. so I walked out with more food for my money. I always go here for meats, great deals, great product.... so long story short I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!

I have been going here since 2013. I won't go anywhere else. Quality service value are all exceptional. For a true enjoyment one really needs to visit. Once you go there, he won't go anywhere else.

The sausages they make there are better than anything Johnsonville has ever thought of. There are the best sausages i've ever put in my mouth The gourmet section is so spectacularly awesome. That Gordon Ramsay would yell at him self For not being able to make something that awesome. I love you, marketplace mea in Delhi.

Best place to get your meat and price reasonable. Nice staff no matter how busy they are.

The owner is wonderful. His manager, Tina, is one of the most hard-working women I've ever met. The cook has the magical touch of an angel. Most gifted chef ever. I encourage you to go buy all of your meats there. Fresh,great quality, and wonderful .
You won't regret it unless you have to talk to/interact with one of the bully butchers.

I just adore this market - I’ve been shopping here for more than 25 years - they have the best meats at unbeatable prices. I went this morning for a a reload on my freezer - while there we picked up a couple of the pre-made “Asian pepper kabobs” and they were awesome - so tasty and I will definitely do it again - you should try them - we loved them … the young redhead with the Michigan State T was so sweet and kind filling our order - a wonderful experience. Local business owner - doing it right!!!

Look no further -- worth the wait (if you happen to come at a bisy time) - EXCELLENT quality meats and knowledgeable and friendly staff!!! They close somewhat early on Sundays FYI

*December 2023: Still the most awesome meat market in the area, great prices, great service, great products! The family raved so much about last year's Crown Roast of Pork that we came back for another this year!

I've been trying other meat markets. They all fall short. I don't know why I waste my time going elsewhere. Never again.

We have been going there years. Alway good service and good meats. Well yesterday we bought 4 pounds of crab legs. $73
They were horrible. No taste what so ever. What a waste. We have been waiting for them to go on sale. What a disappointment.

Pretty much only place I go for meats anymore. Have some good sauces and spices too. Should have written a review a long time ago, but today sealed it. A little taste of Americana that happened naturally. A customer showed up with an ice cream truck, and the owner bought all the employees an afternoon treat! Saw people getting excited for Bomb Pops, popsicles, fudgesicles. A small thing, but very cool to witness. Keep it up Marketplace Meats!

Love this store!! . It is always busy. BUT, when a counter person is waiting on you, you would think you were the only person in there!!! Very attentive. Patient. Knowledgeable about their products. THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF. I like dealing with people who care if you ever come back!

My first time visiting Market Place Meats. Was a bit of a drive so I was like "is this worth it?" Boy oh boy was IT EVER WORTH IT!

Right from the start the man handing out numbers was bubbly and joking with my son. He gave me my number and not only told us how many people where in front of us, but directed us where to stand for safe social distancing. Appeared a little chaotic behind the counter with quite a large team of people filling orders, but the young man called my number quite quickly. He instructed me he would fill my bundle first and then I could tell him my add on's. I ordered the Seasonal bundle. He read off what was in the bundle, I verified with the package listed on their website, as I had it pulled up on my phone. He quoted the price that was listed as well to ensure I ordered the correct bundle as well. Then he stated "give me about 15-20 minutes to fill the bundle and then we can work on your add on's. Great!

I wandered around the store a bit and found amazing items that I typically only find in specialty markets, spices, sauces, etc. A lot from local Michigan companies. The deli section had a beautiful selection of deli meats and treats, pasties, spinach pie, quiche, salads, desserts, etc. Along the counter around the store you could find homemade carrot cake, banana bread, etc. Looked amazing. I literally felt like I was in my Nono's old Italian deli from my childhood.

I glanced over at the young man filling my order and was shocked at how much meat was on the scale. WOW! HUGE!

The young man filled my bundle order, and then did my add-on's of a variety of stuffed chicken breast that looked amazing, spinach and feta, mushroom and Swiss, Cordon-blue, Asparagus...yummy. Also added a nice sirloin roast, a bunch of spices and olive oil and a sweet treat for my son. All-in-ll we walked out the door under $200, where if I purchased everything at the grocery I would've been well over $400 and the quality wouldn't have been there.

I went to take my bags and the young man said "that's okay ma'am, I'll take them to your car for you". WOW! Really, who does that anymore?? I'll tell you who, THIS MARKET!!! I felt the customer service was great!! No they're not walking around with clown noses and tooting horns making balloon animals, they are behind that counter busting their tail filling orders. I'm short and kept moving around which had to be annoying for the fella servicing me, but he was still patient and polite.

Myself and my neighbors, whom referred me have all raved about this market and will continue to do so! So much meat for the price and FRESH!!! I will shop nowhere else for meats!

I typically write reviews based on quality and experience, NOT EMOTIONS. Saddens me to see the poor customer service reviews when in fact the reviews even state the reviewers part in the less than stellar review. I read one about the employees telling her she had to keep her mask on (duh, of course you do). I read another about having to wait in a line due to the pandemic (duh, of course you will). I read another whining about getting to the store 30-minutes before closing and then being serviced (duh, it clearly states it takes time to fill orders, why would you wait til 30-minutes before closing to go to any store PERIOD...lack of common sense i'd say (especially during a pandemic). Thankfully there are smart consumers out there that see through the impatience of others.

In the meantime, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Market Place Meats AND APPLAUD THE STAFF!!!
