Wonderful place! Service was quick and friendly. The food was very good, made fresh, I highly recommend the fries, they're excellent! The owner came, sat with us for a bit, and chatted with us, answered any questions we had. You can tell how important the community is to them, they are proud of the personal connections they make with others in the community. Highly recommend!

An absolute gem of a place. From the atmosphere to the food to the service - LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Everything made to order and Chef Angie is simply amazing. Shout out to Tara, my server today, and Juliana!! Can't wait to eat there again.. Don't forget to ask about the Balla Burrito which is named after me 🙃

While stopping by on our way through town, our whole family had a superb experience at Valerie's. The atmosphere was cute and welcoming and the staff was kind and attentive. The food was all excellent, highlights including a homemade chicken noodle soup, bloody Mary grilled cheese, the Kenzie Michigan Salad and the chicken Caesar wrap. For dessert we split a strawberry rhubarb cake that was not only adorable, but perfectly moist and sweet. Truly couldn't have asked for a better lunch!

We were looking for a new place to try after enjoy the historical museum and this place showed up. Glad we went! The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Priscilla was our waitress and she was very pleasant! We tried the loaded fries, chicken bacon ranch wrap and half order of BBQ chicken Flatbread. Everything was made very quickly and tasted amazing! I can't decide if I liked the fries or the wrap more! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The vibe and atmosphere is perfect for anyone looking for a quick bite to eat that also wants to enjoy dining in at the location as well. They will play all of your favorite songs and you can rest assured that the food is absolutely amazing and delicious

We had a special valentine's day dinner. The food was amazing. Sausage and apinach stuffed mushrooms were absolutely divine. My boyfriend had the chicken portobello marsala pasta and I had a smothered ribeye, both were excellent. The atmosphere was great and so were the servers. Hats off to the chef and the owner for a fantastic night. We will definitely be back.

Everything was great. The chili was so good. I got the bloody Mary grilled cheese it was so good. He got the hamburger he said chicken noodle soup was good to. Will stop back in when back in town

Phenomenal. Visiting from Traverse City and this was my favorite food I tried in the area.

Fries? Bomb. Bread? Bomb. Valerie’s Own should be a requirement to try.

Unfortunately, didn’t have time to sit and eat inside, but it has great atmosphere. Love the bonus of the sweet resident dog, Avocado. Would recommend to anyone!

Excellent food, service, and prices! The building updates are gorgeous and seating is comfy & spacious. You won't regret coming here... try the soup, too.

Very reasonable prices with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating area is really neat and makes you feel like you are in a totally different area. The water is served in cool little mason jars. The service was good, waitress was friendly and attentive even though it was quite busy, and the food came relatively fast and was hot and very fresh. A wonderful place for sandwiches and burgers with a great variety of options.

I love the Taco salad. Everything I've tried is good. The owner is very nice and is always smiling.

Got a BBQ flatbread and the homemade dessert because the SVRC was closed. It was delicious. The place was packed, but still felt like everyone was getting one on one attention.

I live out of state, but stumbled across this adorable, amazing restaurant, while visiting my mother at the hospital. The staff was so wonderful and the food was freshly prepared! I was so impressed. I bought a gift certificate for my dad and brother to give them a nice respite from the hospital while helping my mother. I also returned the next time I was in town, and the place was just as good! This is one of those places it’s worth going out of your way for!

It was very good and the staff makes you feel like you're at home. It's a very nice place to go and have a bite to eat. They have some unique menu items too that are worth a try!
